Oh, I dunno... I have less a physical type than a "mental," if you catch my drift. Plenty of others have caught my eye, no matter their coloring.

I actually like Kaidan most for his rather dry sense of humor.

IsaacShep, I don't recognize him, but hubba hubba! :P Ewan McGregor has a voice that makes me melt. He would be excellent for video game voice acting.

EDIT: Some Kaidan from earlier in the thread.

hmmm, don't remember my first childhood crush right now
but thinking about the characters from movies, tv-series and games that I did have a crush on or felt somewhat attracted to I can savely say that there isn't really a set thing for physical appearance though. I do find it odd however that there there seem to be different traits of character that I like depending on gender
with guys I need something that's 'cute' (<- that can be used very loosely, but there has to be something about them that makes me smile inwardly) and they need to have a good heart. With the ladies I prefer the intellectual seemingly emotionally cold, but probably just socially awkward ones

and don't get my comment from a few pages back wrong: I do like Kaidan and he definately falls into that category for me, but that's probably just the reason why I want him as an LI for my Shepard ... *shrug*

I think it's a combo of the personality and appearance for me, but personality DEFINITELY comes first. No contest there. Sense of humor is top of the list. It's why I liked Alistair and Zevran so much, though I know some people didn't.

I do like dark and handsome though, tall isn't really necessary. Yes, I really am that shallow.

I never had a childhood crush. Anyway the thing I love about Kaidan the most is his personality, he's very handsome chap, but personality is more important to me then anything else.

Yeah, I wouldn't think Alistair as my physical type, but the sweet and funny make him completely hot <3 So Kaidan and his dry humor, caring and that voice just make me swoon

Oh yes. I remember my nephew was all about Power Rangers in those days. Good times. B)

Good eye Sia! That's him.

I like Kaidan's personality more than his looks, although they certainly don't hurt. He's loyal and has a sense of humor.

I'm also a fan of Deadpan Snarkers.

Back to Kaidan: Is it known how he spent his childhood? Did he go to brain camp when he was a teen, or was he younger? Just wondering if he had time to grow up at home, or if he did all his maturing off on his own.

I live in same the area as his dojo.  If I could afford his school (and didn't have a crappy back) I could take classes there. ;)

He was presumably at camp from about 12 to 17 when he killed Vyrnnus.

Aww, adolescent Kaidan makes me want to hug him. That would be alot for a young man to deal with. No wonder he is so cautious and self-contained after the violence and the thing with the girl he liked. You couldn't walk away from an experience like that without scars.

Literally, on high-res pics, you can see them around his mouth.  Presumably, they're from Vyrnnus punching him.

BAaT on Jump Zero was only opened for 9 years I think. It is possible he was there the entire time.

I wonder if he got homesick? Was he forced to go or was it voluntary? Maybe he had a ducky plushie to cuddle?

BAat was set up in 2160 CE and shut down 2169 CE, so yes 9 years from what the ME timeline says.

@Bekkael: I think he was forced to go from what Kaidan says "a bunch of guys in suits show up at your door after school, and next thing you know, you're out on Jump Zero."

From what I understand it wasn't voluntary, they were convinving the families the exposed kids need to be separated and whatnot but I may be wrong.
And yes, I totally think his plushie was a duck! xD :wub::wub:

Didn't know the exact timelines, thx!

Also, it is said Hendel Mitra's family was basically ashemd of him being an exposed kid, so I think they may have even tried to create some sort of social stigma around the exposure to convince the families to give up their kids.

By all accounts, they really tried to drive a wedge between the families and the kids. It was "voluntary" in that your "child might start lashing out and killing people if you don't send him with us" type voluntary.

Allegedly, Kaidan was also picked up late, which is why he has an L2 implant rather than an L1.

Happy to help Isaac:).

@ FireEye : From the ME Wiki " In 2167 CE L2 biotic implants are first developed and used in humans. Kaidan Alenko is among the first to receive the new implants.
"

It's late need to go to bed.

So they were like an evil version of the Jedi Council. :P

Does anyone know how long they used L1, L2, and L3 implants? I kow Kaidan has an L2 model, but if Shepard's a biotic she has an L3.

Oddly enough, you can see some of them really well in Chora's Den.

I don't think they're from Vyrnnus myself, but regardless of where they're from, I do think they're interesting to poke at.
