Quick question for you guys.
For curioisty sake, Shepard and Alenko pretty much think of each other as brothers by the time the war is in full swing... Given that kind of friendship and closeness. I'm just wondering, is there anything that would actually make them want to beat the living sh!t out of each other in rage?
Weird, I know, but it's nagging at me.
he does arguably *the* best kaidan/broshep art I've ever seen. There are some that do fantastic post ending reunions, but none are as light hearted and touch you in a certian way as stone's..The pic is by the stellar STONELIONS who does pretty much the cutest Kaidan/broshep art you will ever see. And for the record, "DEAL WITH IT" is an internet meme. It's not specifc to the LGBT community (Shep and Liara both have
.
In all seriousness though, the points you brought up have been talked about a lot. It's not just Kaidan though. Which is why people want the DLC. Things just weren't handled right. LI should have had priority in several situations but was denied (Pulling Shep up, consoling). It was just very out of character. Overall though I felt Kaidan was handled pretty well. Just felt like some things were left out. So I put them back in
ugh.. I have to agree somewhat, however, I also would like to point out that these L/I are not simply a 'bonus'. They're designed specifically to make the player emotionally invested in the characters more so than laughing at garus's face or every time Ken and gabby spew some nonsense banter. The problem is, that it works better for others, so the content that is there will probably never be enough .I believe their fans are complaining that most of their dialogue is not unique for the romance but repurposed friendship dialogue. Garrus and Tali fans are a bit miffed at the underwhelming romance scene. Tali fans are a bit miffed because of her lack of screentime since you recruit her later in the game. Ashley fans are disappointed because of a perceived lack of dialogue compared to Kaidan and issues with her personality and heavily sexualized character model.
Kaidan is not exactly one of the fan favorites, so assume Bioware didn't extactly trip over themselves to include more content.
If you need a LI with more screentime go for Liara or Garrus. I can't promise that you'll be entirely satisfied, but at least you'll have more to talk.
It's just a matter of what you can expect from a game.
thus the great eternal conflict Budgets.Dusty Everman wrote...
Ashley just doesn't have much dialog on the Normandy. Each squad mate had a line count budget. Though Ashley has the same budget as Kaidan, the writer for Ashley decided to use the budget more on the Citadel than the Normandy, so she doesn't have as much to say between missions, but she has more to say during her Citadel moments.

Good job BW.. you did good.A bit off topic sorry, but I thought I'd point out - if you didn't see that - that Bioware took a nice initiative by offering the EC soundtrack for download for free.

iirc. there are several conversations in ME1 about how the Vyrnnus encounter has changed him and how he's been a self-control freak ever since. In a banter convo on the elevator in ME1 for example, Rex points out that his biotics are MUCH more powerful since he first met him and Kaidan response with something along the lines that 'I've never really let myself loose so I didn't know I was that strong either.''I honestly couldn't see that kind of rage coming from Kaidan. I feel like after his experience with Vyrnnus he'd be extremely careful to not let something like that happen again. Oh he'd argue, but I just don't think he'd let it get physical. Just seems to go against his character. I think he'd need to be under some extreme stress to get it to happen again. Very extreme
