My Fem!Shep actually approached hate with Liara post-Thessia. She's having a breakdown. WTF does she think Shepard's been going through the entire game?

Gezz... I really wish there was a scene before answering the Asari councilior though, Shepard's leaning against the wall staring at the terminal, then the LI (if on ship) come up behind him/er and just places a hand on their shoulder, or gives them a warm brief hug. Just something physical but small to remind Shepard that they're there for her/him and s/he's not alone.

I know.  I was so expecting some sort of LI moment at that point, and was incredibly disappointed that there was nothing.

I think it was just budget and time in the end. Which is why Liara seemed to always get those scenes that felt like 'why isn't my LI telling me this' Liara is that one constant for everyone so it's not that much work as opposed to something that was with your LI which is a lot more work.

the full version here if you missed it. I admire how she works with hands, fingers and face experssions here. Puting on ring is just awesome. Both times. And I also love admiral's face.

Yeah, I also can not understand how post-Thessia Kaidan autolines may even exist. I mean..after footlocker cut, and back then it was not that bad (now as you think of it, hehe). I'm ok with headcanoning and imagining all kind of things, but here I 100% agree - it should have happened on screen. Probably, without even word lines, with fracking shared model animation. Like a hand on the shoulder, attempt to hug, and then shep tells him to leave and accepts incoming call.

How can it be? Unused line in game? I always thought that thing was just a fan-art.

Mr. Sbarge had a live stream where fans could ask him question, one person asked him to say that line, so a crafty person then made that Posted Image

@MandaPanda81: I didn't get the chance to thank you for recommending the fic http://www.fanfictio...Reunion-Reunion by cellotlix  it has become one of my favorite Shenko fics and I'm also reading her other works now

http://masseffectkin...9#t13392019-Out of Range has also updated with a sequel, the alternate universe fic of Shepard as a councilor and Kaidan as the spectre who guards her!

Same goes for "virmire guilt". I don't think that it depends on how often someone mentions it. It's a "player-side" thing for me, and I think that is right. Because if there were some constant reminders (or worse - "autoemotions", see post-Thessia) it would mean that BW "canons" Shepard's guilt. Which is bad. As "BW-canoning" any sort of emotion and feeling.

It is mostly implied, but iirc it is mentioned in LOTSB in ME2 and 2-3 times during in ME3. Shepard never says the G word, but he does 'remember lost friends and wished they were here'

are you saying that something 'should' have happened at that point or that something did happen(that I missed) via banter-talk and it should have been mentioned with on-screne action?

I'm saying that Kaidan should've supported Shep post-Thessia, in game, with proper cut-scene. I'm not sure about rest of LIs, but Kaidan's lines sound like he's more worried about poor blue Liara at that moment, then about Shep. Which can hardly be true. I believe this person does not need shep's combat suit readings to understand how she feels at that moment.

I do not totally agree with BWs "whiny-guilty" concept, to be honest - more like awfully tired, upset and angry, but that definitely felt really bad.

Because Liara is the writer's pet.

The whole Thessia thing was sort of... meh to me. I didn't get why we supposed to feel so down about everything. Oh, Cerberus got the VI? We'll chase after him then. Yes, it's a shame but the way they ddrraggedd on about it trying to force out emotion for the sake of it made the whole thing really odd.

Apparently though, you were originally going to have to make the choice between the Virmire Survivor or Liara to save, which is why the mood is so low there. See now -that- would have given more sense to why Shepard is flipping out so much, especially if you lost Kaidan/Ashley after sacrificing the other half on Virmire. I think we'd see even more complaining about Adam Jenson Kai Lang's Diabolus ex Machina though.

Just as I said - "auto-emotions" of all kind are wrong. That's why I'm ok without BW making shep openly grief about Virmire victim (Ash here).

And you could be right, that cutscene was made initially for another mission scenario, by the way. It makes sense, and if so - BW look less idiots (but more lazy, again).

Depends on what you know. ME anime trailer was shown. And I've found videos from 3 new Earth MP maps...I expected something much more from Vancouver.   London fortunately does not involve around-the-beam running, but it looks as empty and dull as I expected. Same thing as with Goddess - dead scenery. Could be just me, but I can't feel it as part of main story. It annoys.

it's sad but I'm not getting into MP as much as BioWare wants me to. Now if they allowed solo players to choose squadmates like they did in ME 1's Pinnacle Station I would consider it. For now however I just hop onto Gibbed's ME3 editor, up Diana Allers' war asset amount to 9999 and see if the game will spontaneously combust while trying to figure out why I have a ridiculously high EMS even at 50% readiness.  Posted Image

why *didn't* they do something like this again?
Did they figure 2 major character deaths were enough?

@txmn1016 there was a live transcription of what's going on in that big panel with the VAs here (kinda underwhelmed by the news, but hopefully they're working really hard for the SP):

Me either.  It's mildly entertaining but nothing about it compels me to go back and play it day after day.  These new maps/characters/missions included.  At this point SP DLC (and maybe comics and books) is what is going to keep me interested in the ME universe.

I actually really like multiplayer, been saving credits all week for the new characters. Though I don't like how now the only Mass Effect news we ever get is related to it as if people care about it as much as the single player content. As much as I enjoy multiplayer it's not the action aspect of the ME universe that drew me in, and if the series is shifting towards more of an action combat focus I'd rather spend it in single player with my beloved squad (mainly Kaidan of course).
But for what it is I find it a relaxing and entertaining bit of fun, if anyone wants to add me on xbox I'm dunechampion on there.

I'm finding the thing that I enjoy about MP is the social, having a bunch of friends I play with regularly, plus it's just huge amounts of fun... it's a different game, and the combat is really fun. I love how different classes move as you run and jump around, comparing Quarians, Turians, and the adorable Krogan who take up half the screen. Oh, and I love how the Vorcha scamper around hissing, sounding like Gollum turned up to 11. It's silly, enjoyable and pointless :)

That said, I've joined a few matches with random players in the past who have taken things a little too seriously - one guy complaining how the Vorcha player was stealing all the grenades, another who complained that someone lead a Banshee right to him... I just leave those matches there and then, no matter how far through we are, because that's not what it's about.

On the whole, it's the least intimidating multiplayer online game I've played. I normally find myself failing miserably in other online games ending up in a room full of kids who revel in blowing me up, but you can't blow up your teammates on this, you are forced into helping them because they will help you. Even if it's the 15th time you've had to revive a Krogan Vanguard, that little Krogan still kills a lot of bad guys.

Characters are meh, I dislike that a lot of that stuff was never seen and heared in MEU before (like vorcha biotics and alliance biotic-ninjas), it feels like retcons.

But I honestly wanted to see some more of Vancouver (you may know why, hehe, I even have crazy idea to get there IRL, but that's far and expensive). Not that I supposed that we're going to fight on balconies overlooking English bay (and defending half-empty lager bottles), but...but on a given demo I did not see city\\ME at all. Either something wrong with my head\\imagination or..I don't know, it does not work for me.

Some strange office-type building. Why do we fight there? It did not look like HQ. Rare glimps of gloomy skybox with skyscrapers, random urban city in a random urban world.

So that's pretty much where I'm at with MP.  I don't have a lot of regulars that I play with so after spending a ridiculously long time finding a match I usually end up with a bunch of rowdy guys who take the game way too seriously.  Lucky for me, I'm a pretty badass infiltrator so even the hardcore nutjobs are okay with me because I carry their asses through the matches.  But alas, even getting praise from random strangers isn't enough to keep me coming back for more.

I love it too. When ME3 came out we probably played multi 5 or 6 hours a day for the first 2 months. I still love it. It's just a lot of fun.

Having a fun group of people makes this multiplayer. My group is usually just laughing and cutting up the whole time. It's just fun. Man, I wish they'd have more of these tough events. We're a pretty casual group. No elites or anything. We don't even do gold, let alone reaper gold. We finally did the squad goal last night. 4 seconds left on the clock, our lone asari made it passed 3 brutes to slide into extraction. You should have heard the celebration. It was the greatest feeling. We just couldn't believe we did it.

I know it's not quite proper place to ask, but here are so many nice and helpful people <-)
I just saw that DA2 is on -50% sale on origin. I'm still dealing with DA:O, and I even like it, but only "technically", it never became that personal to me as any part of ME. And I wish ME1 was that long...I'm at about 45hours now, and my longest ME1 was slightly less then 30h. But that's probably more because of mechanics and design, not because of longer and richer plot... And don't even make me compare Kaidan and Alistair. I can only say that one of them feels like real, living adult man to me and another - like cartoonish archetype character.

Anyway, how do you think, should I get DA2 or not? And is "awakening" DLC needed before DA2? I would not even consider buying it if not for nice sale price.

edit: ouch. me on top. Here, googled some Kaidan for you.

He's already classics!
