Guys, remember that Bioware ALSO said that they intended the scene with the LI at the memorial to suggest that there will be a reunion with the LI in the future. It's all speculation - they aren't trying to drive anyone in any particular direction.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

so bioware twists their own words?

heh heh

fun

I think Bioware must have something in store for a post-ending DLC. How many would actually be interested in DLC that takes place in the middle of ME3 if we all already know the ending? Also why else would Bioware refuse to change the basic endings with the extended DLC? Just me being optimistic but I'm really hoping for a good "search for Shepard" DLC perhaps starring the LI (Kaidan).

My theory that the reason we've been getting these MP expansions at a constant rate and for free is because they're biding their time trying to figure out something that won't be utterly pointless for SP.

I'm sure the MP is making them $$$ with Real money conversations for gear packs.

Post-ending DLC, or DLC that does anything to change the endings is completly out of the question IMO. They purposefully ment for the endings to be ambiguous.

That leaves small pittfully **** like Omega, or Levithian, which will ultimatly
1) enhance EMS
2) provide clarification/context to the current endings

neither are appealing. So what to do?

Make MP packs!

Credit where it's due, Day 1 DLC with Javik (looking back now) was a pretty good move, There's very little chance I'd spend $10 on him again having played through the game.

I can't really get excited about MP at all. Never tried it yet. I used the apps to boost EMS. I'm going to hang on to my hope that another chapter is forthcoming. It would be awesome to use the LI

I did like DA2 but was disappointed when Bioware said that they canned the expansion (and they made it sound like the fans were to blame??? classy. -_-)

And the way they ended ME3 like that, I'm not sure how the SP DLCs will work out with everyone being so discouraged -- I personally felt that EC fixed some problems except for the major problem of Star Kid. :|

Just recently, I actually started my second ME3 run through because I realized that I missed some stuff with Kaidan (one cutscene didn't fire up for me at all!)

For you maybe. I was promised a heartfelt goodbye with my LI and that my ME2 Squaddies would get some love and they didn't.

The EC took an F- ending and made it D+.

I just finished my first complete playthrough starting with the modded S/S ME1 and imported the same Shepard through ME2 (where he was celibate) and ME3. It was an incredible experience compared with just starting with ME3. There were a few instances in ME3 where the dialog between Shepard and Kaidan was only captioned and not voiced. Once was in the hospital, and another during their romance scene where they reminisce about their first time.

I for some reason thought that MP and SP DLCs were made by two different studios...

Anyway.  My take on Javik--they shouldn't have charged for that.  I felt like that was too important to the story to leave out, and a game should never feel incomplete without DLC.  DLC should only be there to enhance the story.  As a player I don't like feeling like a complete story is beng ransomed for just 10 more dollars.  It feels icky.

I thought the whole Javik thing was intriguing for two main reasons:

1) To take Kaidan back to Eden Prime. and

2) To take Javik to Thessia.

Won't spoil it for anyone who has not tried #2 but it was kinda fun to see Liara squirm for a bit as most of her beliefs were...shall we say challenged? Posted Image

Though, if you think about it, adding more into the plot/enhancing the plot is going to feel like it should have been there from the start.

And, I've seen worse. Assassin's Creed II took out two of their 13 levels for DLC.

No, the EC took a F- ending and made it F+ :P I did say that it fixed some problems, but Star Kid REMAINS the biggest problem and still ruins the ending. I picked Destroy (high EMS) and was still pissed that my Shep couldn't be reuninted with Kaidan at all. SPECTULATIONS. *curbstomps Bioware*

So I thought I would share with you guys that there were 7900 responses to the survey that was posted her a couple of days ago about the romance DLC. I will post the results to it once they've been put together here in the next week or so.
