lol I know it's not THAT weird, after all pretty much all the other major human characters are based on face scans, but I had no idea Kaidan was too. hahaha sorry I'm just tripping. it's just really funny to me, somehow.

Personally, I still require confirmation from Bioware that is the face model they used because from what I have been told, they pretty much just called people in (like, off the streets) for ME1 stuff. It was just that after ME1, they changed that method and got actual models.

At risk of being more stalkerish, he did explicitly mention in his photo comments that he went in for face scanning for the game. It seems unlikely that he would make something like that up, and I mean... just LOOK at him. He looks exactly like Kaidan.

 Lol I realized I fell asleep while typing an update for my Kaidan banter guide...and now I can't seem to finish my playthrough because of our current discovery haha

@merylisk Agreed, his comments in his fb confirms it. He even has Kaidan's lip scar  (just needs a little more hair bump I suppose).

I also looked up Jesse Metcalfe and am now completely turned off to the Mass Effect movie. The lack of Sbarge's voice is one thing, but there's nothing remotely Kaidan about Metcalfe at all. Why couldn't there have just been a computer animated movie instead? 

My thoughts exactly... it's not going to be Mass Effect without the Voice Actors or orginal characters... stupid stupid Bioware.

Wow, that Italian guy, clearly not my cup of tea, but I can see he's pretty popular here alright, good for you, you'll get more pics of "real-life" Kaidan.  The FB comments are fun to read, if you're prepared to accept the very fact that Kaidan's face is just a cheap real-life representation.

That's pretty weird though, I wonder why the info never came up earlier, maybe some clauses in his contract, or maybe because he didn't realize how a video game character could be a million times more popular than himself  Kaidan looks like him alright, but maybe only from ME3? If he was the model from ME1/ME2, well, they did a bad job at modeling his face and I'm really thankful for that! Cause nothing compares to Kaidan anyway. 

I never pictured ME going live, I feel they will never come up with anybody worthy, cause Kaidan is too... conceptual. So that Jesse Metcalfe guy? That must be a joke

Yeah, me too (you're talking about that Italian Kaidan face model, right?), I'd rather never seen that.
Cause it's true they have a lot of features in common (I don't know if I should say Kaidan looks like him or he looks like Kaidan ), so seeing that guy striking all the model poses, you kind of feel it's Kaidan posing, and that's just... ouch, no thanks!

Honestly, I like Metcalfe and everything, but the whole movie is a joke. No on-screen character will be able to capture the in-game characters. They should've stuck with a movie that happens in the ME universe but with different characters, something like the First Contact War. Either way, I'm not gonna watch the movie, cause they'll now have to canonize things and it's going to be Kaidan dying on Virmire, Ashley alive, and probably MaleShep romancing Liara...

And even if it was (I'm pretty sure it's not) Femshep, still the game had no canon, it was about choice...why ruin the experience with a video-game movie that will flunk anyway is beyond me, but oh well

He looks exactly like the concept art not the in game Kaidan. I guess it's easier to draw someone than render them exactly in a game.

I don't like the look of that guy. He looks very stuck - up to me. Sort of ruined Kaidan on me seeing him.

Xenacrocker, no one knows if it's actually going forward. It was supposed to be based around ME1 and has been for like around 5 years now. So I doubt it is going to happen. I do not wish to see a movie based on it anyway. One of the main things about ME for me is shaping the game through your decisions. Unless it was CGI and the movie was interactive I wouldn't mind that but even if that was the case I still wouldn't want a movie.

Anyway this thread is about Kaidan not the movie LOL.
