Kaidan bringing Shepard in for the trial seems like a plausible situation. He felt betrayed by Shepard's involvement with Cerberus. For all we know, Kaidan could have been ordered by to bring Shep in by any means necessary, but who knows for sure?  As a Spectre he doesn't answer to the Council, but being officially declared dead, does that mean Shepard's no longer an Alliance soldier? Regarding the bolded: yes it is plausible, but correct me if I'm wrong: after Arrival, don't you have the option of telling Admiral Hackett that you'll come to trial willingly? I can't imagine in this case that Kaidan would need to be sent to bring Shepard in by force.

I'm more inclined to believe it's a Cerberus agent of some kind (Mostly becuase of the helmet). Even if the armour looks N7, Cerberus has sort of proven that they can get their hands on whatever they think they need. They managed to get some N7 armour for Lazarus-Shep. Hell they managed to get their hands on Shepard's dead body.

But given that we have absolutely no context for that particular shot, for all we know it's not the Normandy at all, but Shepard breaking into someone's fancy penthouse. To steal their Serrice Ice Brandy. For the good Doctor.

I haven't been able to play any DLC yet.   The pic might just be concept art, like you said, having nothing to do with the actual game. 

If Shep stole some Serrice Ice Brandy, I hope she gets Kaidan drunk before the galactic annihilation. That would be priceless.

Thanks to everyone for posting their favorite AMV's. I stayed up way too late last night watching them, and enjoyed them all muchly. Every last one of them was sad though. I'm a sap, but I really hope Kaidan/Shep get a chance for a happyish ending in 3.

I also read some great stuff on the Mass Effect kink meme. Oh boy! Really fun characterizations of Kaidan there, especially one Horizon story featuring binder cuffs. I'm actually a little surprised there's not more Kaidan/Shep smexy fiction out there. That should be remedied. I bet Kaidan fan fiction is going to spike when ME3 is released and everyone sees his new badassery, eh? I need to read more of the Kaidan writers in this thread when I get a chance...

That's great! I wish we had that option in the Cullen thread, but the original poster never comes onto the thread, so no way to modify the original post to add FF and art links. I suppose we could start a new thread for that purpose, but everyone seems really proud of how many pages of support a minor character like Cullen has garnered.

I admire anyone who can craft a good tale in the ME 'verse. It seems a lot more complex and harder to keep track of everything than the DA world. To me, anyway.

Aww, not me. I imagine he might loosen up a bit with a nice drink. After all, he had a drink with some ****ty doctor while I was dead, he can have a couple with me, dammit! 

Oh, and I'm glad I'm not the only older female gamer here! I usually have to talk to my son or nephews or friend's sons when I want to discuss games. Except here, the best thread of the best game series ever!

I could be overreacting a bit but I am always nervous when anybody on the BioWare team mentions the word "canon". All I can think is that they are going to Nuke Kaidan on Virmire because he just has "some love but not a lot". (Or whatever Casey said in an interview once.)

It's an idea, I guess. I checked her profile and she isn't really active on the boards, so I kinda hate to bug her. OP upkeep may be a job she doesn't want.... I don't know that there are all that many Cullen fans that would care about fic and art links anyway, TBH. There isn't the kind of interest for him that you get toward major characers. I've always had a weak spot for the less noticed guys.

... well... they did make Udina the canon human Councillor, though.  And last I knew, he had some love but not a lot, too.

Udina I can understand. I personally think that the Councillor decision was a minor decision.

I'm mainly worried about the major gameplay decisions. We were offered the choice to play how we wanted and create our own "canon" so when they throw around the word themselves I don't like it unless it's about minor details or things we players never got the choice to decide on.

Plus I can just see that it can turn into a huge war too on the boards and online about which LI they should use and if it should be Sheploo or femShep etc. etc.

Pffft, that's nothing new. Bioware rarely announces these things beforehand (the DA2 Valentine's Day announcement was a huge shock) but they always get "leaked" by magazines and various internet sources. Well, damn. That confirmed tidbit makes me want to roll a femshep for Ashley since I've always liked what a strong, spunky gal she was. Being a brief blip in the lifespan of an asari had put a damper on any enthusiasm of romancing one. =p
