Mmmh, no, I genuinely don't want to spoil anybody's fun, and well, I'm not intending to begin some sort of "battle of pics", that's really not the point. For some various and all very boring reasons, I've never been too much of the original pic posting type, so I'm not going to change now for some negative reason.

It's rather complicated, I guess I'm just totally puzzled by all the sudden Luciano fandom - again, not at all by the fact that people are happy to discover Kaidan's facemodel's identity or even stalking him - and as usual, I'm really curious and looking to understand. The best part to me on the thread is fellow Kaidanites here expressing their views, people willing to discuss that aspect between two strings of Luciano GIFs is totally good for me. Nothing's gonna ruin the character for me as I said.

Well I can't speak for anyone else, but knowing that there's somebody in the world who's pretty like Kaidan just plain makes me happy. He's just mad hot.

Oh, Kaidan is not ruined, he's perfectly fine. For me. But I don't really like what happens in this thread.

Unlike rest of BSN, this place always stayed calm and civil (most of the times). Some things could be funny (or not so funny), but never - insulting.

And it's not much Lucienko fotos that could seem so, but the very fact that those pics are still posted, and in huge amount, and in different ways. Not as links, but as images. And posters know, that there are some people here who either took them...let's call it without enthusiasm, or directly disliked them. For their own personal reasons. They do not have to explain here - why, and it's none of anybody's f*ing buisness - how rational or irrational their feelings about the matter are.

And this thread belongs to them same. And all they got is few "deal with it" posts and moar naked Lucienko. Sorry - won't.

Is it that too much to (at least) use urls instead of [.img] tags? If you really wish so hard to drool a little more about this man's body, and share his perfectness within this very thread?

But a new chapter is up!  If It Meant Living-65: Heroes and Villains / Alt. DA Link.

The topic is Thessia, but we get to see some of it from the perspective of the Illusive Man (as well as Kai Leng).  It is interesting how TIM doesn't think he's crazy - he truly believes he is right.  To him, Shepard is foolish and wrong.  To her, of course, he is the same.  Hopefully I captured some of that dichotomy here.

Of course, there is also a bit of Shenko steaminess near the end... .

 @AndreasShepard My thoughts exactly, thanks for that  I just don't understand people's apprehension of Costa. It's as if knowing that Sbarge is Kaidan's voice actor and spams of his pics on the forum makes me want to go sit it out somewhere or something. Kaidan is a conglomeration of a lot of things. Enjoying one aspect of him (his facemodel) for relatively such a short period of time (what four days?), shouldn't leave such a bad taste, especially when there is almost nothing to talk about Kaidan now that the EC is over. It's just after waiting since ME1 kapow there's his actual facemodel. Celebrating such discovery does not make Sbarge or even Kaidan lesser to me, but enhances the whole Kaidan experience. Where else in the forum should I share some facemodel love, though (because we never have this sort of issue with other characters' facemodels, frankly). 

@Beep Il Anyway, my Shepards will pre-order this magazine first this time

Yeah but you're actively criticising people for posting his pics when they have every right to do so so you've kind of made it their buisness.  Look change is difficult but it happens and if you can't deal with it well then that's too bad.  Just like some people couldn't handle Kaidan being made bisexual in ME3, or seeing pics of him with MShep on this forum.  It's unfortunate but that's just the way it is now and you can either "deal with it" or you can leave.  Simple as that.

I'm genuinely sorry that you find Luciano pics to be "insulting" but it's not going to stop simply because you don't like it.  As I said already it's only been like four days and this thread has not turned into Luciano-ville as you claim it has, there's been plenty of Kaidan goodness too.

I don't even think he looks that much like in game Kaidan in some of the pics but what people are doing with the Biotics Weekly faux magazine covers is hilarious.  I wish people would just learn to laugh at things instead of always being so darn critical.

Let's face it. Kaidan wouldn't be Kaidan without his face model whether we knew he existed or not...it would just be some other face on him. And I can't imagine Kaidan with another face. And Kaidan definitely wouldn't be Kaidan without Raphael Sbarge's voice. 

So both men = Kaidan yummy goodness.

But most likely I would faint to meet Sbarge and hear him talk than meeting Luciano and see his face.

So all pictures of face model and voice actor in my opinion are Kaidan related in the Kaidan thread. If not here, then where?

An all CGI movie would be the kiss of death for  ME1 or any sequels. CGI movies that try to do real-people never do well. Ever. Unless you have a budget like Avatar, which they don't, and they still used RL actors.

Well, here's the thing: I'm guessing that at the time, having Luciano model for Kaidan's face was probably not a big deal. For some faces they probably just grabbed some local people who they thought fit (like they did with Joker's face), did a scan and sent them on their way, and that was it. And, seeing as Kaidan has never been a very popular character, I guess they never saw a demand for releasing the name of his face model. It's a much bigger deal when they get a celebrity like Yvonne Strahovski or something to model for a face, so those cases are obviously going to get a lot more attention than some random bartender that I guess wasn't very well known to the public. I don't think they ever intended it to be this huge mystery.

In my case, I think it's incredibly fascinating to look at pictures of Luciano and see the similarities, and while I don't necessarily understand why some Kaidan fans are so opposed to it, I don't want this to cause some sort of split in the fandom. But, I do think that as long as it's acceptable to gush over Raphael Sbarge in this thread, it should be acceptable to post a few pictures of Luciano too. They're two sides of the same coin. Of course, this whole spectacle is going to die out eventually, and hopefully we can go back to not jumping at each other's throats over this very soon.

Wouldn't it be awkward for Shep to share a magazine issue about Kaidan who is on the Normandy too?
Though, I'm sure Steve would buy a copy of that magazine too... and keep it away from Shep.
