I love seeing random avatar pics - Mimi's Vorcha makes me hear the gleeful "I'M ALIVE!!" cry from multiplayer. I wonder if friendly husks could be equipped as future MP characters, lead by Marauder Shields, of course...

They look so alike that it's creepy...if they make a live action movie and have real actors in it, I am pretty sure I'll be disappointed by Kaidan (especially if he dies)...

I hate this board's software, it's quote system and java interface SUCK. Why can't bioware use Vbulletin like the rest of the world?

Actually, I don't like the black one. I think it makes him look too bulky.

I'm pretty sure this day will come. Especially after Leviathan DLC release... I like my Vorcha too, never heard him say that though... Also, are there any female Vorcha???? But... I think I'll be changing it soon...

Someone mentioned this previously pages ago, but Ashely's always been a tough girl. Kind of like Michelle Rodriguez, and Michelle is *always* expendable in one way or another.

It's firmly established that Liara is Bioware's favorite L/I, and Avatar established that interspecies romance *can* work. The chances of a Kaidan sacrafice on Virmire (if it's even mentioned) may not be a 100% sure thing. 


I think we're also underestimating Kaidans theatrical value. He's the only other biotic besides Liara, and  in Me1 she is still this fragile Asari scientist where Kaidan is an Alliance solder. I expect they'd keep him around for the CGI effects potential .

Hm, what if they go for Kaidan/Ashley instead? And when Ash gets left behind Kaidan can blame his superior officer (or the other way round, Shepard saves Ash and Ash gets to blame him).

Sorry, I'm not following you, you mean if they both survive?
Someone has to die in the movie(it *is* an action/adventure story), like the red-shirted security guard in Star trek. Bioware's already killed these two. Makes sense for the sake of mantaining lore that one of them dies.

It could go either way imo, just like in the real game. There are merits for both outcomes here. Ultimately the nail on Kaidan's coffin will be the determination as to whether Liara is going to be enough sexy actress to satisfy the Studio's need to appeal to a broad audience. There's a lot of .... sausage... in ME without Ashley.

Chakwas (a 50 something doctor may not necessary be a godess to most)

Anyone that loves Mass Effect will see the movie, regardless of what their forum-talk is.Even if it's garbage and the acting sucks. it's Mass Effect..

I know for a fact I'm not going to miss the opportunity to see some high-quality effects Husks, Turians, Asari or fake Kaidan.

It's true though. I bet most people on the boards would see it just so they can complain about it. Would you guys go see it even if you knew they butchered Kaidan's character?

No matter if they keep him dead or alive - it won't be Kaidan Alenko. We all know it. Even if they took that brazillian macho guy to act.

They simply don't have screen time for all the dialogues and talks which ME1 had, and which "made" Kaidan for us. Full ME1 run takes about 25 hours. Ok, there was time-consuming Mako, but even without it - remaining part hardly fits into 2hours. And they need to show many things - like combats, blue ******, butshots and love scene(s).

So, "best" we can expect is that he indeed will be used as effect-generator in combat scenes. And there we'll see more biotics then in rest of game trilogy, I think. Including something Really Special (like Full Biotic Kick vs Geth Prime or Armateur saving Shepard....or Liara).

As much as I'd hate it I'd probably see it.

I'll see it too. From torrent tracker. Same as Vega-anime. If they impress me - I'll go to get a dvd or buy a movie ticket...

...which would mean... localization. Including voiceovers... You, probably, don't know how bad translations may be. As a hint - in local version of ME Illusive Man is called "the Ghost" and Shepard is called "capitan" (instead of commander). But it did not include revoicing (thanx God), and I could find a way to insert english subs and UI. Russian-voiced Alenko..oh no. Because those studios work mostly with cheap local actors...well, another reason to torrent english version. Unless they pay Sbarge to speak russian lines... 8P

Depends. Every single video game movie I've seen sucked.
Various amounts and flavours of sucking, still, sucking.

Considering this, and also that I haven't seen a worthy Sci-Fi movie at the cinema for ages, no matter the budget and the director (I thought Avatar was boring, awkward looking with a story Luc Besson would have been proud to write), I'll probably wait for it to land in the 4euros bin for DVDs on Amazon.

Altough, this is different. I could probably put up with some large amount of ME molesting, given that I wouldn't be expecting anything valuable from the movie, but Kaidan...

Probably, whether they kill him or not, I'll look first who they'd casted for him, and if not adequate, wouldn't bother watching it at all for fear of yelling about it here for ages. 

I hope somebody proves me wrong, but I can't see, given how the video game franchise failed on so different levels for me, how a movie could be some sort of masterpiece out of it. And I love sci-fi movies, CGI or not, action-oriented or not.

PS.: I am absolutely, totally expecting to see some plot twist that would kill the both of them, or spare the both of them. Also, I don't expect to see a trilogy, so they would need to include as many characters in there as possible. At least a large amount of them from ME2. My guess is that if it's about Shepard ME, then the story would really evolve around Shepard + Liara (blue babes) and all other characters, including Kaidan, would be really some sort of guest appearances. You know, as Kylie Minogue as Cammy in Street Fighter.

Exactly, this kind of husks is not made of human, but black and white hairy varrens 
A playable husk? That would be interesting, or even a friendly husk as a party member por SP in a future DLC. The posible interactions with  other crew members would be priceless.

Actually I was in priority: London, I saw Kaidan, but I couldn't attack him, instead I hid so none of the crew could see me and I couldn't help but keep staring at kaidan's glowing.. ehem.. powers, yes, that is what I was going to say..

Not siberian but iberian. Im from Spain. The siberian name was just because I chose the husk avatar, and the word "husk" always reminds me of a husky. I know, I know, they are totally different... 


On the movie topic, I dont think they would kill Ashley or Kaidan, I think they are going to introduce a new character who can be left behind in Virmire instead of the other two. Maybe they can even leave Jenkins alive until Virmire. No matter what they choose to do, a huge part of the audience wont be happy.
