I bought Mass Effect (1) for PC a few days ago and my 2-years old laptop can't run it... :-(
It gets too hot.
I've not played Mass Effect yet (ever), I'm a ps3 player, that's why I had to buy ME for PC and now I cannot play with PC either ¬¬

Can't be. I'm playing all the ME series +both DAs on a 3.5+yrs old acer artefact...though when I bouth it it was close to good (not top) and I picked it up for gaming. And ME1 must be able to run on a calculator - it is not resource-consuming at all, considering its age.

What's your config? And aslo - how long ago did you clean up your coolers and heatsinks? (I mean your laptop heatsinks, of course, your heatsinks (if any) are hardly a problem here.. 8P).

I put all the options in low or medium (resolution, textures, lights.. etc), but I think the problem may be the other thing you said, I've never cleaned the coolers and the heatsinsk. My laptop is always warm, but only with the game gets too hot. But I should clean it anyway
