It can technically fly through, but it would never descend to mako drop height on Ilos or land on sea shore like Virmire. It could still dock to stations (like omega) or docks (like Illium or Citadel). That was reason why you had shuttle or fire-how-was-it-called-thing instead of MAKO since ME2. Just don't ask me about leaving Earth and Mars and Normandy evac, ok?

Just one question: when do you see the "breathing" scene happening?

Breathing scene is not something I care about much - I never depended on it. Not even pre-EC. It was just a confirmation from devs - "Shepard lives". But the only logical point for it to happen - soon after explosion, BEFORE rest of the ending sequence. Esle - alive shepard is considered dead (together with really dead Anderson, by Normandy crew as well) without even proper searching, while Normandy has its little jungle tour . I'm sorry, but my head can't digest this wonderful theory. Even if I take rest of "minor inconveniences" I already mentioned "as is".

Though, while I'm following some basic logic and some codex - I'm still talking about headcanon here. And I'm aware of it. So - if in someone's universe neither of mentioned issues prevented Normandy from taking Shep down in time and "really" happened - I'm just honestly glad for them (no sarcasm or offence or whatever).

And as for "open ending" - I'm more than ok with open endings, but "open ending" is when you are free to imagine and headcanon what will be next, not when you're trying hard to fill all the holes and gaps and understand - what exactly just had happened, and what does this sequence show.

Well, if it helps, i have no problem imagining that breathing scene anytime on the timeline, so for me that would be before everything else, yes. It's nothing uncommon in cinematic storytelling, especially since they put it at the very end.

I won't go for myself in ANY details regarding what happens, cause honestly, i don't care. When i said that the Normandy was making a stop for gas fueling, i meant it could be grounded there for a number of days, even a large number of those.

So we see the Normandy leaving that planet > it means it can travel in space which was not true pre-EC. It means it can go search and rescue Shepard, that's all i need to know. Before EC, it was red explosion, just Kaidan and Joker on New Eden Prime and back to the stone age. Talk about hope. There was no way i could fill the gaps enough here for me to imagine Shepard being rescued. She was just dying, alone, and scared, under some rubbles while Kaidan was standing brainwashed on some random planet.

If Shepard is breathing (of course it's an alive breath, no question about that), there is hope for Shepard to be rescued. I don't even know where Shepard is exactly among those rubbles. Nothing shows that Shep's stuck or dead wounded or that he/she only has a few hours / days to live.
Maybe Shepard could be surviving for a long period alone before being rescued?
Maybe Shepard will find medigel and food there, ways to survive?
Maybe Shepard could be rescued by some other ship (after all if the Normandy can fly, any ship can fly), thus remaining for a long period of time without being able to communicate with Kaidan and company? That would explain the memorial scene. Anderson & Shep MIA and everybody reluctantly giving up on them > don't ask me until how many days you're MIA in ME. Let's just say it's the right number of days for Shepard to be rescued!

If Full of nonsense = open to interpretations / headcanon / whatever, then so be it! I am not going to tear my brain out for something i paid money for.

Nonsense =\\= "open to interpretations". What happens to Shep after that breath - yes. it's pretty much "open" to any "may be". Green little aliens or singing angels included. Rest of it - nonsense will remain nonsense, and it can not (and should not from my point) be forced, processed or integrated into headcanons. Not mine, at least. Without geting into much details - our ways with in-game "canon" parted on London goodby. Forever. Probably, I will set myself to write down something. But I'm still too lazy for that. And also - I don't feel good for writing in foreign language, and I can't see my native language as "proper" one.

I never said nor thought the EC fixed anything, what it gave me, is images. That's just me, i just need to see things to believe they happened. So what is that puzzle, what really happens there, i have no idea whatsoever. But if you're able to just erase EC, as if it never happened, then good for you! And you're right, pre-EC was more consistent, and more logical. But since this is the point where players got, then whatever players will come up with, be it pre-EC or post-EC is just as "accurate". Yes, green aliens, dinosaurs, pokemon, whatever, included. This is the sad point where we were left, and i'm not dwelling on that fact, cause it's bad for my karma. BUT, i still need to make things happen to end that story, people just deal with this differently, you want to write it, i want to make it visually happen.

so I'm working through the non-moded ME1/ME2 ordeal for Kaidan.

You know. it's not so bad, It's been so long since I've heard his Non-L/I dialog that it's actually refreshing, I've had more than 1 'I don't remember him saying that' moment's so far.


I still have to stroll through the rest of the crew after a major mission before speaking with him though. otherwise I loose interest in whatever babble everyone else has to say.

Why in the galaxy Alenko looks youngest of three? Alistair is in early 20, and he looks oldest here. And I don't know who is third one, because if it's Anders - it's not much like him.

Found myself somewhat fiddling with ME3 SP for the first time in ages.
Started a new game just to try some new looks, ended up bumping into Kaidan, ALT+TAB during horrible opening scene, then spent 5 minutes on that roof shooting running people below while Anderson was somewhere ahead...
Loaded some random game on Mars, got annoyed at being forced to be nice to Liara to get that "i've got a lot to live for" glance.

EDIT> successfully put myself in a bad mood, and just can't find any good ToP pic. Let's call this a day.
