DA2 Romance: I like Anders so I'm biased hahaha (canon DA2 LI for my Hawkes)~ 

Fave Kaidan Moments: Those flirty things they're doing in ME1 lol (so cute~ ), that locker scene, that romance scene ME1 (yup, I need that ME1 fix soon)...I'll warp my head around ME3 moments laterz

i just realized that My ME1 haven't changed from ME3 - still Garrus and Kaidan.
ME2 for me was mostly Kasumi and Garrus.or Kasumi + Miranda

i do prefer the ME1 flirty things as well. The only good flirty moment in 3 was the Normandy conversation after the Ex-Cerberus mission

Yup, never squealed so much in a Bioware game than with those ME1 flirt moments (or maybe sometimes with Alistair hahaha)

haha me too!
If I have to compare Kaidan vs Alistair's flirty moments, Alistair definitely has the lead.
Argh, I am not even halfway through DA yet, but i kept stuffing him with gifts.

I like their flirty moments equally (even if Kaidan does need practice)~ And I give Alistair every gift as soon as possible hahaha (my Warden's wily ways indeed).

Speaking of DA, what also gets me excited for DA3 is David Gaider's awesome comment takedowns. I was browsing tumblr and this was remembered (ahh, nostalgia ~). Behold his awesome-ness~

...No, he doesn't. Some players are whiny, however, and sure do cry a lot whenever any character dares to express a thought contrary to their own or maybe, I don't know, expresses an emotion. I think this says more about their shallowness than Alistair's whininess. 

Very applicable to Kaidan's "whiny-ness" as well (and who dares hate Alistair?! Kidding).

I freakin' love David.   Hanging out with him at SDCC was the best!  I'm glad he lashed out at the crying/moaning/complaining too.  They put so much work into these characters and, while people certainly have the right to express their like or dislike of a character, to rip him/her apart so mercilessly disrespects the sleepless nights, missed meals, and lack of family time these writers go through to make us such amazing characters.  People really need to shut it.

And with Leviathan coming up I saw in gameplay footage that Cortez has additional dialogue in one of the missions as well. MY PC may not stand all that hawtness at once. Time to check the PC fans to make sure they're all working!!

if I had Kaidan in ME2, I think i would bring Kasumi. She's not the strongest, but it's good to have an infiltrator in my group )
I would bring her just to hear what sort of random observation she has made on Shenko

As for something more positive - I could link one, but it's in Russian.

So I'm playing DA2 again and I can't decide who I want to romance this time 'round. Decide for me, Kaidanites. Merrill is not an option because she's 14. Sorry.

I'd say...Anders. But I will say Fenris instead, because myHawke is greedy and not willing to share. 8E

Probably, it's good that I did not see awakening... Though - there is a chance that i'll try it out just to see how it was. I like what I see in DA2. His arc is not hero-centric (same as Alenko's one), he is not "all for Hawke", he has his own point, he will not tolerate things just because of Hawke. But I'm not done yet, though looks like there is not much left to play(act 3, all clear, but main quest from mages).

Bringing it back to Kaidan and ME - I just like it when character can say "no" to hero or question him\\her. Garrus is 100% Shepard-centric - with all my respect, same as Liara (wait...or should I say it's Shep who is Liara-centric?.. ah, never mind, 1\\2 of 3 ME games are Liara-centric anyway). Legion is not, by the way. Kaidan is not. Ashley...must be same as Kaidan.

It hurts some egos - absolutely. Something like "How dare you not to luv me!!!111 I'm da Shepard!!!!" That's why so many fans just eager to get omega DLC and check how strong Aria's "first rule" is. And if BW do not let them sleep with her - they will make anothe BSN sh!tstorm. That's why Alenko is considered "whiny". Together with Corso Riggs, Anders, Alistair...(well, Alistair, probably, is way too soft, really, but he's a young boy, so it's ok) - because they are what they are, not what hero(or better say - player) wants them to be.

And I know that I'm a "sinner" myself, because i remember my first reaction on ME2 shenko arc and on Horizon-1. But now I just can see that such things - they are good, especially if supported by nice writing.

I think the only reason that I couldn't really romance Garrus or Liara in ME2/ME3 is that they focus too much on Shepard. I admire their loyalty, but it gave me more of a friendship feel than a LI.

I think having some disagreement in a relationship can do the couple some good. (but the way Kaidan did it on Horizon was too much)

I think that it can be "too much" from players point of view. As I just said - it's where I started, thinking that it's "too much" and etc. But from in-game and character's point - it's just fine.

Probably DA2 was the reason I bothered to put it down in words, as it added some to my personal statistics. I mean - what's that so special and different in characters that I find attractive or nice. Yeah, I know, it may sound wierd - to like that someone dislikes part of your characters actions and does not worship your hero, doing all to please you and following no matter what. But that's what prevented me from loving Alistair's arc, to be honest. There was a huge "pet" feeling. Something that Kaidan never gave (and I'm greatful to all the writers for that).

While I don't regret playing Awakening, there are some things that I was not happy with. First off, you cannot romance any of the characters. Zip. Zero. Nada. Nicht. Second, it does tend to end quite abruptly. You finish the last boss fight, you walk away from the combat zone and then you get the slide show at the end. Third, if you don't have Awakening you get screwed out of Varric's last armor upgrade in Dragon Age 2 (you have to do the "Finding Nathaniel" quest and you can only get it if you played Awakening and thanks to a bug, you MUST have Nathaniel Howe in your party for the final mission). And lastly, as you've already seen, Awakening is notoriously buggy. The nastiest one is that you can lose your entire inventory in the Silverite Mines. (so do a game save before you enter!) This was the first time I got the feeling that a game was rushed to release before its proper completion but alas, it wasn't the last.
