Even if it's true, ANY character other than f... Blue Babe or Allers is fine by me.
Of course i'd love it to be Kaidan, but if it was Kaidan centered, i would totally expect the same kind of reaction from other people. I don't think this has anything to do with Cortez being the only gay LI. It has to do with Cortez not being Liara as OP said. That says it all.

If it features Kaidan - it means Ashley camp is also has some loving. Which makes two of fancamps happy (with huge part of tolerant people who did not kill him or her on coup, even with no romance). And there would be no sex\\orientation aspect. I mean, such DLC could never be considered "pro-gay" or something like that.

But you are right, whichever character is involved more - haters gonna hate. EDI or Javic (or Adams or random NPC) look like more...neutral choice for the "main speaker" in DLC to me.

I don't see how people can say anything on the subject of any LI having too much screen time. It's not even out yet. For all we know that's all Steve has. Sheesh. Steve's cool. He can have all the lines he wants. Traynor is too in my book :innocent:

I think I need to appologize first, after I posted my comment I realised that I just trolled in a thread of the only character that I have ever romanced

I guess I am just very sensitive to these kinda stuff, given the amount of time I spent in the spoilers forum

I have not seen any promotional material regarding the DLC, but I am not willing to believe that Steve features so heavily to the point where people become very very uncomfortable, any comment of such made at this point in time is perceived, at least by me, as an exaggeration

I've got that line during my previous playthroughs... let's see... April - May was the time I had 3 or 4 Kaidan playthroughs. Haven't started the new one yet. I should do that before Leviathan though.

And I must add, THAT SHEP IS NOT EYE CANDY.

Well, Steve is a lovely guy, dispite what some weird people out there think, i'm sure he'll find someone good.  I've watched the vid with romanced Steve, this just feels weird because it's so obvious that the dialogue stops at "Who says i'm not looking right now?" and then there's this Kaidan line insert that changes the course of the scene. If really feels like a video game here.

I know for sure the first part of the conversation is the same... as for the Kaidan part, I haven't heard it myself.

I doubt it. I know that as femShep i jump around everytime any other character mentions Kaidan & Shep's relationship (yes, that Joker convo when Moreau shameless rejected Shepard), so i think i'd remember.

Plus Steve says that because he's flirting with Shepard.
BUT you do meet Steve at the Purgatory.
I'll look for a vid, i think there's the eye candy line nevertheless.

As for that Joker Shenko line, doesn't happen with M!Shep because nothing has happened between them in ME1 (at least the game seems to think so ). New-mancing Kaidan Sheps don't get that line either.

Oh that's just a rhetorical question, I was just really displeased with the anti-Steve sentiment especially after seeing that stupid thread over in the spoilers forum, I had to vent, and took it out on the character I loved, by accident:(

I'm not mad or upset with your question (and I was peeved by the Steve-thing too), but you should think about the anti-Steve thing the same way: Don't care, more Steve for us (less grievances on those that love Steve). They can live with it, just like the way we had to live with Liara (FOR THE ENTIRE FREAKING GAME AND A DLC!!!). So, don't feel bad; I've learned not to expect much from these sort of people haha (especially after reading that Alistair fiasco yeesh).
