As for that Joker Shenko line, doesn't happen with M!Shep because nothing has happened between them in ME1 (at least the game seems to think so :P ). New-mancing Kaidan Sheps don't get that line either.

Actually, mShep can't even hit on Joker so there's no way there would be that Shenko line even if something happened in ME1 ;)

None of the games show any flirting between two men, except for Kaidan/Steve romance. But I mean flirting like with Joker, Shiala, Vega, Parasini and so on. Everyone else got something but us. Bummer. :pinched:

Oh yeah he is!

People will find a reason to whine about the DLC, Steve gives them a reason to gay bash.

I'm not mad or upset with your question (and I was peeved by the Steve-thing too), but you should think about the anti-Steve thing the same way: Don't care, more Steve for us (less grievances on those that love Steve). They can live with it, just like the way we had to live with Liara (FOR THE ENTIRE FREAKING GAME AND A DLC!!!). So, don't feel bad; I've learned not to expect much from these sort of people haha :P (especially after reading that Alistair fiasco yeesh).

 I was going to argue for every character should get approximately equal parts in the DLC...but okay, well I guess we are lucky then...

I think if the DLC features Kaidan heavily and somebody dares to say the same s**t about him like they did to Steve then I would not hesitate to troll them

But you are right "I want to put a bullet though his head, but we are all making sacrifices today", I need to calm down

My Shep didn't flirt with Joker. She was drunk. (Yeah first sentence she was sober and then next one she was drunk, don't ask.) She was figure of speech-ing Posted Image
What about Shiala? What about Parasini? They had a drink at the Citadel, that's all. I don't remember anything flirtatious.
About James > yes, there was flirting indeed.

I don't feel like femShep was particularly talented at same-sex flirting? And no. Blue Moon doesn't count.

What Alistair fiasco?

As for me I don't mind if Steve has a major role in the new DLC. I mean he kind of drives us everywhere so of course he's going to show up. I like Steve but even if I didn't I'd be cool with it because it had to focus on someone.

As for relationship mentions, yeah I flirted with Joker just to get that line. It made me feel a little guilty but it always makes me happy to hear someone mention Shenko.

Umm... Doesn't Shiala touch FemShep when you help her in ME2 and the colony was saved? She says something that they could be together some day. At least she does that for BroShep.
Parasini kisses BroShep in ME2 if you help her in both Noveria and in Illium. Don't remember if she did that to my FemShep.

I do take this stance, but I'm in a trolly-foul mood today apparently :P...and yes, tired of all the baseless bashing of characters that have lots of heart in them (and I admit, maybe even Liara and some extent Allers--ugh can't believe to admitting to the Allers part), you just need to see between-the-lines to actually see their "humanity" (or just simply understand them for who they are), which stupid people don't give the effort to do, so why bother?

Edit: @Beep Yup, Shiala touches F!Shep (was awkward for my F!Sheps--forever Kaidan-sexual lol). Parasini kissed my M!Shep though (was surprised haha, but didn't mind much except was blushing furiously).

@catgirl I linked a Gaider comment takedown from years ago a few pages back, virtually b**ch-slapping comments about how "whiny" Alistair is. Figured it was very applicable to Kaidan, and other less liked characters who don't deserve the "whiny" label for being just who they are--human beings.

@Mimi doing Parasini's quest in ME2 properly (and ME1 too I guess) "earns" M!Sheps a kiss to the cheek

Mmmmmh. I don't remember anything ambiguous from Shiala towards femShep.
Parasini certainly did not kiss my Shep, i would have remembered Posted Image (you mean on the cheek, or on the lips?).
On the contrary, i felt there was a sense of very genuine friendship between the two of them, you know, as two women doing their job respecting each other. But then maybe that's just me picking those lines.

Oh right, I meant on the cheek. Forgot to state that.
But even if those "suggestions" are false, FemShep can still have "fun" with Sha'ira. *Shudder* :?

First thing that comes to my mind is not "all characters should be treated equally", it's actually "there should have been a lot less characters in the first place". Those ME2 characters were quite simply betrayed. Ash & Kaidan almost didn't make it.

I don't have any problem making jokes on Allers or Blue Moon, even if they're different.
I don't even know Allers. I hardly spoke to her 2 seconds before telling her to vaporize in some other dimension. She's just the symbol of ultimate game development waste (+ the Chobot / IGN thing, that's something i can't get over with).

Liara is just the symbol of obvious BW canon, no matter what kind of marketing assertions they did. Her character came to annoy me to some large amount, but that's a side effect.

New councilor still does this... :bandit: (very intruiging)

@Mimi Allers does care if you can stand her long enough until Priority: Earth. For me, she's wasted potential really. My gripe about her is not her "character" per se, but the "point" of her creation=fanservice (plus that horrendous voice acting for a series that prides itself in voice acting talent...just too much)
As for Liara, my main gripe is her Bioware-mascot-ness, not her characterization as well...If there were indeed characters I "hate", these two are close (but yeah, I don't actually hate any ME character). Annoying yeah, hate not that much~

Yeah, resources are stretched pretty thin, it is better to create fewer and fuller characters...I am new to the forums but I imagined once upon a time there was a storm here about Kaidan not being in ME2

Kidding aside, you may have something going with that idea there (or maybe Shep is intended to be asari-sexual NO SIREE)

As much as I love most of the characters from ME2 I totally agree. There were way too many characters for Bioware to worry about. They should have stuck with the ME1 guys and maybe add three or four. It would have allowed for better characterization and less of a chance that anyone was left behind. Bioware just bit off more than they could chew. I'd rather have more fleshed out characters over more characters in a game that spans several games.

But... mShep can too!
Anyway, my point, if any, is not to count those out for everybody's sexual orientation Posted Image
I mean it's obvious that the video game industry focuses on straight guys as a target audience.
Speaking for myself, I don't feel straight women are better off in general than gay guys.
Let's just say you get more often to play your own gender (which is a great plus for me) and we get to see straight romances more often.
As for ME, you'd have to ask a lesbian player, cause i don't care about any flirting interaction that is not towards a human male character. And you now have "officially" Kaidan and Steve. And i "only" have Kaidan, which is great, dont get me wrong Posted Image In that aspect, Vega's flirting was refreshing indeed.

Ugh, headaches, insanity gives me those

BTW, does Shepard ever ask Kaidan "How's the headache?", sometimes when I bring him to missions I see that he is unwell but Shepard does not say anything
