Now, I can explain why I think even Shepard's lines are perfectly IC as well, but they work for my character - mostly in the context of the romance. Most of it has to do with the fact that she honestly felt that Kaidan had been abducted when the Collectors took off. I, the player, might know better, but her honest reaction is to be completely flummoxed when she sees him because she thought he was gone and was desperately trying to keep from losing control. So all those "derpy" lines worked for me. I understand that it doesn't work for everyone, but I do my best to work with the tools that BW gives to me. I've played through Horizon enough to know how to make the dialogue flow best for each of my Shepards, regardless of romance status.

That's a really good way of looking at it.

I agree that he probably thru himself into work. Also the council sees Shepard working for a terrorist group. Given his commendations and loyalty the council needs someone to trust. They have no idea if Shepard has gone rouge. Who better to investigate? Obviously someone who served with her/him. I don't mind him being a higher rank. I think his SpecTre status and new rank was acheived investigating what Shep's been up to. Yea that could be a possibility that Anderson wants to clear Shepards name. Maybe Kaidan found evedience we weren't lying?? Who knows? God bless Anderson though!! I swear he is the only one who believes in you no matter what you do and stays true to you and by your side:) Plus I love when he sasses Udina Udina go to your room and think about that for a while LOL!

I remember when they announced Thane. He looked like a fish and I assumed he'd be all dishonorable/without morals due to his profession. *facepalm* (Was so impressed with his writing that he was my first ME2 romance after I finished my canon + Kaidan game.)

Haha I've already decided one of my Sheps will go for the Vega boy, can't help it xD But I will role-play that Shep to be Kaidan's cousin and give him Kaidan face texture so it will be all good, Kai won't feel jealous xD

Failed yet again in attempted to do a ME1 without romancing Kaidan, I just cant do it, let alone leave on Virmire, why can't I have a PC and just a save from someone.

I cant bear using the Genesis comic at all either. I must go on and create a non-romance Shepard. Damn you Kaidan Alenko.

Honestly, I don't think they need anyone to GIVE them ideas. They always seem to keep a few cruel tricks in their pocket. Hopefully, what they inflicted on Kaidan fans in ME2 will satisfy their sadistic quota.

But secretly, I have one Shep moves on in ME2 play through. She's my renegade and may go for Jacob. But only because she cannot have a one night stand with Zaeed. Her parents were murdered on Mindoir. Of course she has daddy issues.
