Edit: Googled him. Too bad he is a douchebag. Even though being passionate about one's beliefs is admirable, demonizing homosexuality is not cool.

He grew up in a religious country, it's to be expected. I admire him for the strength of his beliefs, but I just wish they weren't so extreme. Nobody has to agree or approve of homosexuality (I personally don't), but tolerance of all people and their various life choices is also a religious teaching, one of the most important.

That said, Bella (which he produced and starred in) was a very touching movie. He's certainly got the acting chops to play Kaidan, but his accent may be a bit too strong for him to sound anything like the character.

Personally, I think whoever plays Kaidan needs to have their voice dubbed over by Sbarge. That would make up for the fact the movie will most certainly be from a male Shepard's POV. It's still a man's world, and especially in gaming. Not hating on men, just stating a fact.

I saw that on wikipedia but that whole event wasn't based on demonizing homosexuality. At its heart it was just a day dedicated to prayer and fasting. I think it was one talking point, but you can disagree with that and still want to call on God for guidance and help in other areas. Unless, there are specific quotes from him calling homosexuality the work of demons, then that would be different. But just the prayer day thing, I don't think that's a big deal.
