Finishing up my first playthrough with Kaidan alive in ME3. Gotta say he is better than Ash by leaps and bounds. He's actually becoming a favorite of mine now. Plus he's such a bro! Not nearly as much of a bro as Garrus or Wrex but a bro for sure

Thanks for giving him a chance when most people don't  I really appreciate it  While I do like Ash, most of her supposed dialogue that matches Kaidan's are cut, which adds to her OOC-ness in ME3  And Kaidan is really the quiet, loyal, grounded, calm, reflective sort of bro a Shep in stress needs~

Are there any references to the colonist life in ME3? Or Earthborn for that matter? I used to have a colonist Shep but I lost her when I formatted my computer. Now I think I only have spacer + sole survivor Sheps

Oh and a quick update on my Kaidan banter guides. I added a little bit in the Usually Missed Banters and after that update, I won't touch these guides anymore. In short, they're complete (yey). Only additions will come from possible upcoming DLC

Stay tuned for my ME1 playthrough if you guys are still interested. I might transcribe banter from there as well (notable banters and Normandy banters for paragon romanced F!Shep, probably) )))

As for sharing stuff, 4 of my Sheps are soldiers and 3 of them are vanguards (vanguards and soldiers have a special place in my heart despite what other people make of them )

If I remember correctly being a colonist is not having any parents and the alliance picking you up and taking you in. I can't remember though i think so in ME1 don't think there are loads though, or if there are I can't remember them

Hmm, I'm not entirely sure, but Hackett mentions your background when Shep starts doubting themselves ("Why pick me?"). Joker also mentions Shep's background after Thessia. 
Also, if you pick the paragon option when Liara shows you the time capsule, Shep's background is mentioned. But the only thing I'm sure of it being mentioned (not psyche profile) is after landing in Eden Prime. 

Actual Transcription:
After Landing on Eden Prime
Kaidan: It's deserted.
Liara: Come on. Let's see if we can find the dig site.
Shepard: This was a beautiful colony once.
Kaidan. Colonists come back after Saren and the geth attacked. They'll come back again.
(if Shepard is a Spacer)
Shepard: I grew up on ships. Lose one, you can always move to another. 
Liara: But you'd still remember.
(if Shepard is a Colonist)
Shepard: They rebuilt Mindoir. It wasn't the same.

You should see Kaidan. He's even hotter ;P

My canon femShep is Spacer / Ruthless / Renegade at heart but ends up 60% Paragon 40% Renegade, although throughout the games it gets tougher and tougher to be Renegade... I like the idea that Kaidan made her grow soft
Sentinel > Vanguard > Infiltrator, she's good at everything

My canon paragon F!Shep is about 95% paragon 5% renegade (soldier, spacer-sole survivor)
My main renegade F!Shep is about 95% renegade 5% paragon (soldier, spacer-ruthless)
My main paragrade Sheploo is about 60% paragon 40% renegade (soldier, spacer-war hero)
My douche renegade F!Shep is about 99% renegade 1% paragon (vanguard, earthborn-ruthless)

My other remaining F!Sheps are vanguards. Forgot background and morality though (fail).

Kaidan: No matter how many Sheps, they're all mine :devil:

Yup, some really creepy stuff too like this for me 

No I mean really. It's obvious but i'll point this out nonetheless. Flycam will bring you behind the scenes.
It will break the illusion, especially during dialogue cutscenes, and will make you see Kaidan as the 3D puppet that he partly is. It's so easy to be a ME tourist, that's why i tend to flycam only when i want to capture something really specific. Plus, i think it's not good to play and watch those romantic scenes over and over again. It wears them off for you.

Well, mSheps say they really enjoyed unmodded EC. That it makes the unmodded game totally worthwhile. So there you go > Leviathan + EC > Kaidan goodiness to come  - that guy from some thread even said it gave the gay Kaidan romance the chemistry straight Kaidan romance lacked , charming...
