Incredibly awesome. My only criticism would be that Shepard's blade needs to be twice as long and half again as wide (this is Dragon Age we're talking about!).

Have you picked an inspiration for Wrex (or Grunt) yet? I'd very much like to request Shale. :-)

They'll see it eventually, not that I really care if they do or not, I doubt they'd see it and suddenly be inspired to do a Mass Effect/Dragon Age game (though that would be awesome).  When I finish them all I'm going to submit it to Kotaku and hopefully they'll feature it like they did my reaper art.  Plus I've gotten a lot better since then.

@devsin  I know it's dragon age but I'm trying to tone down the size thing a bit, seriously some of the armors/weapons in that game are just ridiculous proportion-wise.  I'll be talking to Allistair and thinking how the hell are you wearing that ginourmous armor

How many Microsoft points is the DLC going to be again? I bought some a few weeks ago but I maaaaay have used a few to buy the damn Mabari in DA2 for my Insanity playthrough. Totally worth it.

Yeah, they get carried away sometimes. :-)

It just seemed like the hilt is so disproportionate to the blade (the hilt looks Dragon Age-extreme, but the blade is far more conservative)—I don't think it would have really stood out to me otherwise. (I don't remember DA-style concept art, but it's possible that the butt of Kaidan's staff should also be visible somewhere, given the angle it's hanging at.)

Minor details only, though. The bodies are perfect, and Kaidan's face came out great again.

I love when everybody comes to your house to visit with the dog. Still not as good as Dog in Origins, but it was fun to see Aveline and Fenris and Merrill and the crew all coming around to spend time with it (not to mention the interactions with Carver, Gamlen, and mom).

With perspective, I can't tell if that's 75% the length of the blade or 50% (I don't think it's 100%, which is what yours almost looks like)? I think it's more deceptive than it might appear—if that blade were held with the crosspiece at his waist, I think the blade would extend roughly above his head the same length as it is in yours (maybe slightly shorter), but with Shepard, the crosspiece is a fair bit above the waste (meaning the blade is shorter).

I do believe a slight lengthening of the blade might make it appear more fitting (making up the distance currently occupied by Shepard's hands). (With the way that sword would have to be swung, the enemy would have to be so close to you for you to actually hit them that they could just about stab you to death with a knife first.)

(Nice work on the blood dragon BTW. It's funny how instantly recognizable it is.)

Yeah? Well good for you! I'm just pointing this out cause this is what i read most often.

And a small detail critics - where has lower part of the staff gone? Those are long, usually - same height as mage or slightly taller. It should be visible either betweeen legs or (more likely according to the angle) from behind his left hip\\knee area. Unless it's sniper rifle-style foldable staff (which was probably the idea).

And now as I'm thinking about it...apostate biotic...I like how it sounds.. 8E

And don't make me compare those two. I can't say that one is better than another. Each fits his own legend.
