New chapter is up: If It Meant Living-71: Checkmate / DA Link / AO3 Link.

Yeah, so where were we?  Oh that's right, confrontation with the Catalyst, with a lot of surprises turning up .

What can I say, except this is what can happen.  In my opinion, this, or something like it, is what should happen.  Everyone you've come to know and love over 3 games, performing above and beyond the call of duty, doing what they were born to do, trained to do.  Not just Shepard, but all of them (by this point, it's less about what Shepard does, and more about the pieces she put in place, then trusting them to perform as she knew they could).

Kaidan gets a turn as Captain of the Normandy, in the most intense of circumstances imaginable.  And lots of other stuff happens, at this point pretty much none of which was in the game .

I hope you enjoy, and that it is a worthwhile conclusion to this story...except, of course, that it's not the last chapter .

Posting this pic, even though there's no way it bears any resemblance whatsoever to the end of the chapter...I mean, it's not even raining in the chapter, right?

The Primes are easy. Just make sure Tali spams Sabotage.

And the Reaper is always the same. No matter the difficulty, it's always bad. A reaper that isn't able to kill one human is just ridiculous. :happy:

I always figured it was Shepard who was exceptionally good, but you're right, that reaper is actually lame.

What I meant is that sometimes I feel like he's way too handsome to be an Alliance soldier.
EVEN if this is Commander Awesome Shepard.
But it's true that his unique and perfect looks contribute to Shepard's charisma.
