What Sapphy said. And yeah, we used it in Persephone Rising! I'm flattered you recognized it!

Not a PR Pic.

I always considered Kaidan as very tidy person, so the first ideas for smell would be soap and whatever Alliance uses in laundry. Strongly doubt about aromatized perfume - when in migraine, any strong scent is approaching to hit in the head. Maybe not people who are having migraines are that sensitive to smell, though.

Arrgh, was away for a week and what is the first thing I'm discussing? What my favourite char smells like. I'm a lost case :-P BTW any worthy news from PAX?

I also got going on KOTOR just a few nights ago. I'm still on taris though (mutters angrily: five hours later) I forgot how long it takes to get off the darned planet. And I had my first real conversation with Carth last night *swoon* his lines are amazing...and I'm beautiful and gorgeous to him! Teasing flirting ftw!

p.s. does bastilla remind anyone else of Miranda or is it just me? "you didn't rescue me, I had it under control, blah blah blah *superiority complex*"

Ugh you're right! I never really liked Bastilla, and never really liked Miranda either until some people pointed out nice things about her. It's hard for me to get over the arrogance.

I would have never attributed biotics to having a smell. hmmmm. Maybe because I figure they're like static electricity sometimes which doesn't have a smell.....
I'm not very good at describing smells, all I can say is that Kaidan has a natural musk smell.  Like the woods on a fall day.

Pheromones! :wizard:

Some of the post's on the last few pages have made me nearly wet myself!

I can imagine Kaidan only putting on cologne for special occasions. I just like "guy" smell. Nothing special just manly. Yum Yum.

I think I'm the loud one in my relationship, although my other half doesn't lack confidence haha.

When linking from deviantart, I copy the direct image url to put in the IMG tags, and then as credit to the artist, I put the link to the art's page in the link to the artist's name. That way, people can go back and favorite the piece easily. Like so: L2 by Jhourney

Which would look like this with spaces (of course, take the spaces out when posting):

[ url = http:// jhourney.deviantart.com/art/L2-168845820 ]L2 by Jhourney[ / url ]

As someone who loooooves getting comments and favorites and pageviews, I think it's a nice way of giving artists exposure.

And I need to attempt to draw Kaidan again one of these days. I have plenty of good reference material for his new armor, I just have to get off my behind.

Thanks for the tip :)

hearing Joker watch porn in ME2 actually made me wonder if he and Kaidan ever swapped recommendations

Now that is a scene that should be written!

One scenario: Joker would probably give him the freakiest, craziest stuff as a joke, and Kaidan's offering would be met with "man, you are  one sick b*****d".  Of course Shepard would stumble into the discussion.  Hilarity ensues.

Oh yes! This would be a great humorous moment in the frantic race to stop the Reapers of ME3. Even if it doesn't happen in game, it totally happened in my canon just now, because ... Awesome. :D

Well now, this will be off topic (I've stalked enough of the fanfiction links in you guys' signatures to asssociate Kaidan with the smell of ozone or specifically the smell near the woods after a lightning storm) but I just spent my morning classes pondering what I thought Kaidan's ideal skill set would be in ME3.

My canon Shepard is a vanguard so I favor squaddies that can strip defenses for her, so I was thinking:
Overload
Warp
Singularity
Neural Shock (I always gave Kaidan the First Aid/ Medicine points in ME1)

Any other opinions?

And for those who don't care what his skills are so long as he can be your Shep's personal bedwarmer (and because I want to see if I can do this):

I like Overload and Warp for Kaidan, most definitely. I found Neural Shock handy in ME1 as well. I need Kaidan to have Throw in ME3, though. So he can scatter baddies that are about to overwhelm my Vanguard, which inevitably happens when I get extra enthusiastic about Charge. Just please don't waste one of his skill slots on Barrier, BioWare! I found it indispensable in ME1 and completely useless in ME2.

Am I the only one who wants squaddies to have omni-blades, too? I would swoon to see Kaidan pull of the Sentinel Shep's double-bladed melee kill.

don't bring back memories of ME1 biotics or I'll cry sad, sad tears :crying:
I remember the good old times when my LV 60 Adept would walk into a room, the purple flow of the barrier swirling around his body, while he lifted then threw one group of enemies, and incapacitated the other with a singularity and watch amused as his squaddies picked off the floating enemies ...

and then ME2 happened ...
I like ME2, I love it ... but ... Biotics just don't feel the same way ... but then ... did Biotics in ME1 when they were only at LV 30?
can LV60 biotics be as awesome in ME3 as they were in ME1, plz?

EDIT:
in all fairness I do like the around the corner action of some of the powers, but ... when I saw the new sigularity the first time I didn't know if I should laugh or cry ... casting it in the air above a group of enemies who hid behind crates was so much fun in ME1 ...

I think it was the lvl 60 bit. I changed my Adept from ME1 into a Sentinel for ME2, so I'm not familiar with the difference for a pure biotic (go mixed class, go!), but having Vanguarded through both several times, biotic powers do get better by the end of ME2. It sucks so hard to go from lvl 60 to lvl 5. I am happy we will be able to start ME3 at our ME2 levels. As long as nothing changes anyway...

As an aside, I LOVE the way the biotic powers sound so far in the demos. Punchy. Yeah!

I dunno... Avery The Adept was pretty powerful at level 30.

Meghan the Vanguard wiped the floor with everything she encountered. I got The Last Stand Achievement in Arrival with her.

However, I can't wait to see what skills our favorite Sentinel gets.

As a huge fan of Heavy-Charging Vanguard with Claymore I doubt in usefulness of squadmates as defence strippers - you charged and enemy was tossed away, all that mess with chasing them and finishing off isn't really for me. I prefer to charge and then see the outcome: if headshot was performed clean, I run to nearest enemy and strip the defence in melee - and then either make Mordin use Incinerate Wave to keep the mobs busy or make Jack area pull them while Miri will complete Warp Bomb. If I missed a bit, Miri will finish target with Warp or Overload. If I missed completely (or charged with empty Claymore...), start with melee part from point 1.

So my wishlist for Sentinel:

- Warp for organics, barriers/armour and performing Warp Bombs

- something for syntetics. Maybe Overload, maybe something new.

- crowd control ability - Incinerate or Cryo Blast or Neural Shock. Speaking of Kaidan which always associated with calmness I tend to Cryo Blast.

- second ability necessary for Warp Bomb - analogue of Miri's Slam. Since Slam belongs to other character, Singularity tends to have huge cooldown and Kaidan hadn't got it at first time, Lift turned into grenade and I couldn't perform Warp Bomb with a Shockwave at all, my vote at this position goes for Pull.

And now we got to part which made me madly fall in love with Miranda and carry her everywhere around. Passive power. Don't you find it logical to character whose description is about "covers the rest of the squad" to give everyone  bonus? Don't you find it cute for a person to physically boost a beloved one just by mere presense? If not, remember that squad AI isn't brilliant, but even is it failed and squadmate is on the ground (or on the crate), passive bonus remains :) Squad bonus should return, and since Miranda might also return, I'd like to see her giving bonus to pure combat attributes - health and weapons damage - while Kaidan would give bonus to powers - maybe to cooldown and powers damage? Ahh, wishful thinking :)

they could dish out towards the higher levels, but I miss firing up the barrier and then just walz into a room and not having to worry that anyone might hurt me.
from what they say so far combat will be more challenging in ME3, so let's wait and see how that goes, if it's more challenging but still fun, I'm game though

@Aurin Shepard
the info I heard so far is that you can keep your level if you keep your class, but if you change class you have to start from scratch

I ALWAYS describe what a character smells/tastes like in my stories (Cullen/lyrium is minty!). It's for SCIENCE, and it's really important. I'm not sure about Kaidan, but I can imagine he smells very mildly of spice or musk. The smell of ozone makes me think of Anders and lightning spells.

Ah yes, my vanguard never even used her shotgun in ME1.  Kaidan would lift everybody, distributing throws and warp as needed, and she'd throw up her barrier and run in pistol blazing using throw or singularity if the enemy got to close.  The carnage we'd wreak. She misses her warp as well, but reave has to suffice.

Throw seems to have disappeared and I guess pull is the new lift.  I never use pull with my vanguard because by the time the defenses come down I'm ready to charge and just shoot them all in the face.  That's why I like squaddies that strip defenses, my heavy charge just stumbles them a bit and by the time I get past their shields and/or armour another enemy or three, all also protected, is after me.

That's why I chose singularity as the last.  I never could aim the darn thing with my one adept playthrough in ME2 so it was useless to me but I figured if an NPC used it it could work as crowd control.  I should test that with Liara in LotSB, never bothered before since I couldn't aim it myself. That's really what I was going for, I just want him to have a biotic skill for crowd control.

Yikes! skill related TOP:
