I discovered yesterday that if tali died in me2 i got kaidan doing the save instead (had him and james on the squad) for the geth lift, which made a nice change tbh

Why did not I remember it, I wonder? I had Tali dead on my first metagame-free run...

So people would rather kill off a character.... for 1 scene?

You may think about it other way. People would rather replay and make her alive....for many extra scenes... 8P which was my case. And it's not that I dislike her, it's just she's dead in my canon, sad thing to happen, yeah. But no one is perfect.

BUT, i've been questioning that particular aspect of my canon PT, the Geth and Quarian problem.

You either play as you play, or start metagaming here. There is no way for your Shep you to know that Tali is vital for peace, they did not put masseffect.wikia.com on extranet, I guess.

As for myShep - she likes the idea of peace, but she had no options to make it. Also she did not much like how quarians acted during their missions (like shooting geth ship with them aboard) -she picked geth first, but could not just let all quarians extinct because she thought of Tali, and stopped Legion uploading at 60 (or 75? don't remember numbers for final choice)%.

From metagaming point of veiw saving geth and pick destroy is even worse than making peace and pick destroy, by the way 8P

Well I had some hints that Tali's loyalty could impact Geth & Quarian peace, and although we've discussed that here already, i don't want to do the maths.

The whole Quarian + Geth thing is actually one of those moments when I felt I was "forced" to do the right thing. Very probably because of Tali. I still don't know if my Shep would be OK to let her friendship with Tali take priority over other people's faith. And I'm really talking about hiding her father's experiments, not the peace thing.

I think this is one of the few choices I kind of regret actually, independently of the consequences after that.
The discussion on the Normandy from Chakwas, discussing whether Geth are alive or not, that was also very interesting. I'm still unsure about what Shep would answer.

Oh yes, Destroy! I totally sleep well at night on this, as I still have no idea whatsoever what is really happening from all 3 endings. Synthesis is probably the actual moral ending, but i fail to buy it no matter what. I mean creators melting with creatures? What is that supposed to mean actually? The end of all things created? It is so metaphysically ugly, my brain just refuses to take any of those endings seriously - apart from shooting StarBrat in the head that is.

Kaidan IS the reason I picked Destroy, because I wanted to see Shepard breath and Kaidan hope.
The rest didn't happen. I'm totally fine with EDI and the Geth still being there, hell, even my boy Legion is still alive
