Sbarge, what are you doing? :'D
This has reminded me that I'm bummed I can't go geek out at D*Con this weekend. *pouts*
Time to download Leviathan. Worth it, I assume? I'm just skimming to avoid spoilers, but reviews seem mostly positive.

I did that scene right after Leviathan too, I think it's especially appropriate since Kaidan now has the new line where he says to Shep "Let's not waste the time we have left" in reflection of the miners losing a decade of their lifetime.

So is there any confirmed romance-specific dialogue from Kaidan?Commodore Q wrote...
So who did everyone take with them? Kaidan seemed to get a substantial amount of dialogue... I took EDI with me on every 'mission' it seems like that's what the game wanted me to do. I felt like if I hadn't taken her, in the Shuttle she would have spoken on speaker anyway. What did everyone else do?
In terms on Kaidan, it's cute, I think he takes priority, not sure.
Also a little autodialogue line after the mission which is awesome
The DLC as a whole though, it took be a bout 3 hours 30mins. I was taking my time though searching for all the clues ect. It's good for backstory, few funny parts... for me it's worth the 800 ms points for the extra Kaidan stuff.
Since I had to start a new game, I didn't even play all the way to getting Kaidan back. I just took random people—it looks like everybody gets a lot of dialogue in this one (you done good, Mike!). EDI does come up over comms if she's not sitting in the shuttle (same as always, when you have to contact EDI or Liara in the pre-mission scene but they're not in the squad).
The "bobble-head" that you can steal for your quarters (thanks, James!) is awesome. I kept clicking on that thing every time we went back there. :-)
I don't regret the purchase (thanks to the squad content), but the second mission wasn't all that fun for me, and the story is essentially filler (since the knowledge isn't going to have any effect outside of one line of questioning at the very end). At least it wasn't overbearingly pro-synthesis.

I wonder if that husk head was watching whilst Kaidan and Shep had sexy time? Hm, maybe they just threw a towel over it?
I was looking to see if they added it to the romance cutscene before cerberus base but the head wasn't on the table.
@devsin: top of this page I posted my experience with the new romance-specific dialogue so I can confirm that there is at least some.

Wait we can take that head?
First, it bites James, and then he wants to take it home.
Just keep talking to him, and you get him to smuggle it back to your quarters. :-)

Sadly most Mass Effect DLCs don't effect endgame anyway. I don't think any of them did. This one kinda felt like it should have though. It has that kind of feel to it.
All I'm hoping for from ME3 DLC is more time with my squad. In that respect I agree, it did well. Lot's of squad banter. If Bioware wants to do well in ME3 with DLC they need to add lots of squad stuff. I loved LotSB but it was sad that the squad didn't talk.
And as soon as I saw "the head thing" I knew I had to have it for my ship

Sounds good, thanks!
Another thing I noted with the DLC—I'm really tired of fighting Reapers. Husks and marauders and brutes, all the time. I liked the content (except for the map for the second mission), but when the fighting starts, it just more of the same. Hopefully the next DLC has some new enemies.

At least with Lair of the Shadow Broker we got the data banks so we could learn a lot more about our characters interests and the scene with Liara which was very touching. they could have easily added a scene like that to this DLC, something like Kaidan coming up to the cabin to talk about how worried he was when Shepard was underwater or maybe let you finally use that poker table in the Normandy with some of the crew members. Just something fun for the fans to do after finishing the missions.
Action and character development is the perfect formula but they never seem to realize this.

Also James is the ONLY squadmate you talk to after the mission who Shepard replies to. Even if it is only to agree with him.

Hopefully Omega really does come with a new hub, and the whole squad (and Steve and Sam and Joker, if not even more of the crew) will hang out there and have some good dialogue and maybe some fun content.AndreasShepard wrote...

Playing this game after not touching it for months, the fighting gets really old, really fast. Every time combat would start in the DLC, it just felt like "this again?", not anything exciting. I need more character moments.
And I wish Kaidan could have been there underwater. Even though the story is ridiculous, it's still a wonder to behold. But no, as usual, we're the only ones who get to experience the awe-inspiring, life-changing moment of meeting something beyond timeless.
In ME, Kaidan got to see the thorian and the rachni queen right beside us. In ME3, nobody matters but Shepard. Everybody else just has to hear about it later.
I'm very much afraid that all DLC is going to focus mostly on the new characters. James and EDI are available to everybody, so they're the ones who'll get most of the content (that certainly seems to be the case with this one).Commodore Q wrote...
James seemed to get more content than most in the DLC, but I think that's partly they didn't want a LI in that role... I'm a paragon, but I couldn't help just pressing the renegade interrupts, just something about James that makes me turn renegade haha If that was Kaidan there's no way I'd press a renegade interrupt haha.
Well, at least it wasn't Liara, I guess.
(I didn't take those renegade interrupts BTW. And I still found the right planet on the first try.)
