I have no interest in the CE.  Has some to do with Kaidan, I guess.

Anyway.

I don't remember that shot in ME.  That is exactly what I'm saying.  Don't the marketing team know the wives/girlfriends control the husbands/boyfriends purchases??? Or are they all single???

From my perspective, it seems that marketing may be under the delusion that the only people playing M rated video games are boys age 8-17?

I'm gonna be pre-ordering CE when the boxed version finally becomes available for pre-orders in Poland. I can't even imagine buying digital CE, like, what's the point of having the digital artwork album or litoghraphs? So boxed for me. But I want that CE, I need alternate outfit for Kaidan and that robo dog, not to mention Prothy if he's only available in CE.

A man was hit by a cab in the street. He was brought to the hospital. His wife who was standing up by his bed, said to the doctor: "I think that he is very ill." "I am afraid that he is dead."said the doctor,Hearing this, the man moved his head and said: "I'm not dead. I'm still alive." "Be quiet, "said the wife. "the doctor knows better than you!"
Just then a voice called from outside the door, "If you do, I won't go."

I know.  Yet, my household is 25 to 35. ME3 is the last game I intend to purchase from them, because I just can't take this.  Its wrong.  1. You can only register one email/BSN account per game purchased (dlc included), which means I play under my hubby's id.  2.  They think that they have accurate numbers because of these registrations.  3.  They won't give us any glimpses of Kaidan at all.  I have a suspicion that means that if you cheated on your ME LI; you will be shooting them to stop a jealous rampage where your ME2 LI also gets it. ( Which would be an Ashley reaction.  Kaidan would accept he screwed up royally and move on). There are words for people like Bioware, but I'm too much a Lady.<_<

Actually, neither I nor my husband use the ID we use to download the extras. There are no games they can get access to. But then we're on the 360.

So, they don't know who's lived or died from our data. Unless they datamine all accounts on the machine. Which has got to be wrong. ;)

I'm not buying anything without seeing it first....I want the CE...with all my heart (because of the book and all that) but I'm trying to be objetive...I don't want to buy a game just because I might like the extra content...I buy games because I like the content that the CD has.

I'm always that way, and till I see that this game worths my money I'll buy it, if not...I'll probably get it later (when it costs the same that ME2 costs today LOL), because the same thing happened me before (with DA2...a totally deception for me...and I have to work hard to get money, you all know that I'm a digital artist, so sometimes I have food to eat and most of the time I have to go to my mom's house to eat something (I'm pretty sure that my mom hates me now XD!) LOL) so yeah...that's why I'm very reluctant to buy the CE without seeing at least a gameplay or a good spoiler.

I earn the bread in my house while my hubby's going to school.  So, yes.  Until I'm certain they actually respect me as a fan, I'm reluctant to commit to a purchase.

However, I'm a sucker for his puppy dog eyes.:crying: Okay, last one.  He was somewhat disapointed with DA2 as well.  So, Bioware better do a really good job or it is over for my household.<_<

I'm sorry to everyone who is displeased. :(

Obviously, there are things that bug me in DA2 and ME2, but I guess I've just decided to roll with the punches as long as I can. Clearly, there is no way everyone is going to be happy with ME3. There are too many passionate fans for that, and too many differing opinions. Some of the fans are likely going to be screwed with choices/non-choices in ME3, and selfishly, I just really hope it isn't the Kaidan/Ash fans getting dumped on because the "numbers" say it's the least devisive path for the company to take.

The next few months are going to be tough for us as Kaidan fans, I think. Especially if BW keep playing everything close to the chest and don't throw us a few crumbs to bolster optimism. :?

I think I will just admit to having a dysfunctional relationship with BioWare. Even if they screw up one of my favorite characters, beat me and abuse my trust, I will still come crawling back. BECAUSE. I. CAN'T. STOP.

This describes me perfectly.

You're not on XBL? I can only log into this site and post under my XBL gamertag. Otherwise I would be EmbersOfAmber like I am everywhere else. For people on Live, I think it would be easy for BW to get stats and stuff through the Cerberus network. It also logs me in everytime I play DA2. I would thing it easy for them to gather our info....

I am oddly optimistic about ME3, and have preordered the CE already.  Despite how grumpy I was about Kaidan and Ashley's role in ME2, and my dislike of the main plot and how little roleplaying I was allowed...it's a fun game.  It's well made, has high production value, and while I would not classify it as an RPG, it is my favorite third person shooter ever (I don't usually play shooters, so this was easy).

I feel kind of the opposite about DA2...I adore the characters, liked the story up until the end...but the rest...flames, FLAMES ON THE SIDE OF MY FACE

Ahem.  So I'm fairly sure that I will enjoy ME3, based how I felt about ME2.  Kaidan being back on my team is just a great big bonus.

I enjoyed ME2 as well. After I got over my extreme hatred for most of it and the DLC. I've said it before, but the ME games are the only shooters I will ever play, especially since we can use magic biotics. I think I will continue to swing back and forth between rabid optimism and crushing pessimism in the months to come. Skyrim in November should (hopefully) make the wait a little more tolerable. Can't wait for March though. B)

This is exactly how I feel. ME2 was so pretty, and it's not really an RPG but I'm a huge sci-fi geek so I love the ongoing saga. Plus I was a late-comer to the series so I played ME2 right after ME1 and I didn't have that time in between to get my hopes up only to be let down. Plus I really fell in love with my Shepard in ME2.
So, poor marketing isn't going to make me not buy it or wait to buy it....then I sort of feel as if they're winning, because then12-17 year old males end up buying it and they don't get my 20 year old female statistic.

I haven't played any DA games so I can't comment on that. From non-fans I've heard DA2 "sucks," but I'm assuming I'll still buy it after playing Origins. I'm waiting to buy them until I get a 360, so my computer doesn't fry from having any more games. :(

I'm enough of a fan to want the lithograph and the art book that comes with CE. even if I don't like the game, those alone are still worth the purchase. I'm very pessimistic about the game right now. oh its going to be fun to play, its going to have epic cutscenes and epic music, its going to be visually spectacular - I have no doubts about that, but right now - I'm expecting "transformers, dark side of the moon" I enjoyed watching that movie, but I won't be watching it again or adding it to my collection.

with ME3, I have extremely low expectations when it comes to how they will handle returning characters. I'm expecting copy paste romances and reset of the relationships, generalized direction from an attitude they expect majority would have taken.

I enjoyed DA2 for the most part. I enjoyed it more when I simply thought of it as a reboot and when I downloaded mods that allowed me to juggle friendship/rivalry more efficiently. it was easier since you got to play a different protagonist. its going to be harder with Shepard. I'm currently prepared to never take my favorite shepards through ME3. I might end up playing freshly rolled ones only. I don't know yet.

I'm not canceling my pre-order unless Origin is required to play. I'm enough of a fan of the game to want to play it at least once. but each day I lose a little bit more of my hope for the best.

How many people in this thread are ladies? Most? Are male fans of the Kaidan romance (like me) unusual?

Just curious.

I've already posted my opinion on ME2, but I have to say, I really liked DA2. And I have yet to decide if I'm going to preorder ME3 or wait for reviews. I keep waffling back-and-forth.

Male and I like the romance.
There's definitely less than for Garrus and possibly Thane's romance, but they exist.
