Ho hum, EA servers seem to have blown up, booted out of MP along with everyone else on PC, seems xbox also affected... and also BF3 servers. Someone pulled out the plug!

So browsing around the Internets reveals the following quote:
future DLC plans of any kind depend upon success of Leviathan. If we see that people want SP DLC, can always make more.
So, er, I bought it, I want more! I guess I hope others buy it and it is (in the eyes of BW) successful... because there has to be more Kaidan out there, right? It's not over yet...

I really hope so. Honestly, I think this SP DLC is awesome. Got me playing again and really... it had been awhile.
Got me interested in playing all the games again.
I don't have anything bad to say about the DLC.
You know,,, Lev gave me the creepy, chilled, awed feeling I havent had since Sov at Virmire.
After playing it a couple of times I actually think i'll try and continue my insanity run.
But.... I dunno.... how many people do you think are still playing... as in the ones that were too dissapointed in the endings and just gave up.
That's ME1 Ash+Kaidan squad banter during Citadel C-sec mission (given by an officer, something about making a simple deal with a man to get some evidence, but violence is also an optional outcome).Where's that from? Cut dialogue?

Hm, nobody died.
KAIDAN ALENKO
I could shoot someone if it'd make you feel better.
ASHLEY WILLIAMS
Nah, I'm good.

Heh - with me it's turning out just the opposite. I held off on my playthrough just before Thessia to play Leviathan. Now that I played it, I completed my playthrough Wednesday evening and just don't feel like starting up another one.
As much as I enjoyed Leviathan & will probably purchase any DLC's that will be made, I can't help but feel I'm spinning my wheels here since any new content still won't effect the outcome of the game.
Sorta makes me wonder if EA/BW sees me as nothing more than a patsy since the endings are far from perfect but here I am still shelling out $$ to buy BW points for more ME content.

They're a business, they're here to make money. As much as we'd like it to be true, they're not doing this out of the love of the characters or the story. They're in it for money. If it's not making them money they're not gonna do it.
I really liked Leviathan and I played through it many times already. I thought it was fun and that's all I look for in a DLC. I'm more in the camp of "please don't touch the endings, you'll probably just make it worse". As long as they give me more Kaidan and a fun story with some action, I'm happy. They better keep them coming. This is all we get. When they're done with these DLCs it's over. I'm not ready to say goodbye forever yet.![]()

I wouldn't boil them down to some kind of cold-caculating machine like that. Certinally they're not doing this as a Hobby, but to suggest that's the only reason would be going too far. Normally people get into this industry because they love their jobs. They love to play games and interact with these characters as much as we do. Whether their love of video games outweighs the financial aspect is unclear(there are plenty of non-money making examples of content they've put time into), but I doubt very many people at bioware make sixfigures. They're a business, they're here to make money. I've heared this from an interview. There is part of truth in it, to be honest. He has a point here. Though he got lucky - not all fans know how he looks. He said that this is the closest he'll ever come to knowing what it was like to be a Beatle.
