I'm gonna be pre-ordering CE when the boxed version finally becomes available for pre-orders in Poland. I can't even imagine buying digital CE, like, what's the point of having the digital artwork album or litoghraphs? So boxed for me. But I want that CE, I need alternate outfit for Kaidan and that robo dog, not to mention Prothy if he's only available in CE.
Major Kaidan Alenko in ME3: We're going to need a bigger boot.

It is cheaper and I don't see any point playing ME with polish dub... Come one! VA's are so awesome (english ones). And I love Raphael Sbarge as Kaidan and Carth, ok I just love that voice
Ow I forgot that PC players have option to change damn language... Console players don't....
@IsaacShep You are from Poland? I would never guessed! (So if you want buy CE in box try ebay or GamesWorld - those little game shops from next year will specialize in Collectors Editions

I have 5 complete ME1/ME2 playthroughs so far, all femShep, and in 4 of them I stay loyal to Kaidan. For one, I had to romance Thane, simply because I find him a very intriguing character and was interested to see where the conversation went when you took the relationship further. And I have to say, the "payoff" scene was....sweet. Very sweet. But that's it. And once the picture frame got turned down on the desk, it was all I could do not to rewind to an earlier save and undo it! That one is also my Renegade playthrough, so it's kind of my "alternate universe where everything is different" scenario, that I will probably get to after half a dozen ME3 plays.
I keep telling myself I will do a playthrough as himShep (as we refer to him in our household), because I actually like Ashley as a character and will eventually want to see her in ME3. And playing as femShep, there's no way I'm EVER killing Kaidan on Virmire. No way.
Here, have some Kaidan! My favorite creation (and by "creation" I mean taking screenshots and editing them in Photoshop, I wish I could be a real artist): [EDIT: Got the picture working!]

Never noticed this one by Jho before. I love the idea of Kaidan saving Shepard on a mission gone awry. Why can't that have been a bloody DLC?
*pic snip*
Where has Jho been anyway? Haven't seen her in the forum in a long time.
And my husband had better have ordered the CE for me already. He will jeopardize our marriage if he did not! (I'd like to give him a chance to get me something I really want for my birthday, but I usually end up buying it for myself first. This time, I'm really going to give him a chance.)
But half-kidding aside, honestly, BioWare hasn't let me down yet. I (mostly) have faith that ME3 will be exactly what they've been hinting at. And by that I mean Awesome. I was sad that I didn't get more Kaidan for ME2, but it was not a dealbreaker for me.

You're not on XBL? I can only log into this site and post under my XBL gamertag. Otherwise I would be EmbersOfAmber like I am everywhere else. For people on Live, I think it would be easy for BW to get stats and stuff through the Cerberus network. It also logs me in everytime I play DA2. I would thing it easy for them to gather our info....Sialater wrote...
Actually, neither I nor my husband use the ID we use to download the extras. There are no games they can get access to. But then we're on the 360.
So, they don't know who's lived or died from our data. Unless they datamine all accounts on the machine. Which has got to be wrong.
Hmm... I was able to link my existing BioWare account to my Xbox gamertag even though the names are totally different. But it may be because I was already using the same email address for both.
We have a family account. So until Microsoft fixes their bug <_<, I will always appear to be a child account playing M-rated games to anyone looking at our info.
I was okay with this until it wouldn't let me download the demo for Dragon Age 2. And then I raged!

It does not matter if your BioWare account and Xbox gamertag use different names as long as the email address is the same as thats what they use to link them together.

I made a MaleShep the other day (after playing FemShep like twenty times), and Ashley still got nuked on Virmire.

Definitely outnumbered, but I expect more male fans to show up the closer ME3 approaches. I don't think the news of s/s romances in ME3 is widespread yet because I find myself mentioning it on other boards (outside of BSN) and getting various "oh about time" responses. Welcome!Pockles wrote...

Just curious.
Heh. I had to go through this myself on a femshep and what made this easier to watch was that he was the first to volunteer for the job, knowing exactly what it meant. He has the personality where he steps up to defend someone else at a personal cost and this scenario was one of them. That's actually why it's harder to deal with the scene on the ship where he's reeling in shock that Ashley died in his place. You know he's thinking that should have been him instead. But in any case, I think I read somewhere that ME3 should have a genesis comic style of choices where we can predetermine the decisions we want (i.e. FemShep with Ashley surviving) without actually having to replay ME1/ME2.Graceyn wrote...

I really do feel that Ashley has a great story ahead of her, like some kind of phoenix rising from the ashes of her grandfather's legacy. I love the idea of a strong woman kicking ass out there. I love that the VS (both of them) climbed the ranks on their own merits without riding on Shepard's coattails so I really look forward to their personal missions the most with James following close behind.

Yes they have completey changed it as 4 years ago I tried and failed to get XBL then last month I tried again and everything was different, I think it was when they changed the dashboard and updated everything.

Yep. Definite change. My gamertag/account is from when I set it up on the original xbox (which were built amazingly well, btw. We still have two that work). Bekkael was the name of one of my dark elf PC's from Morrowind. Which was.....a really long time ago.dunfall14 wrote...

I've been reading Manipulations on FFN all morning. It's very good and wonderfully written, but...do you ever just want to take two characters and smash their skulls together in the hope of knocking sense into them? That's how I feel right now about this author's Shep and Kaidan; I'm right around chapter 40. A testament to the skill of the writer, to be sure. I don't know how to sustain that level of emotional tension between romantic characters. I just bloody want them to make up already, but I guess that's just me.

Edit: I swear I was TOP when I posted this and now suddenly I'm...not. Weird. Frankly, I'm thinking firefox sucks balls at the moment.

Wonderful piece of writing, best fanfic I've ever read by far (though I haven't read that many). But you are completely right; the dramatic tension created is virtually unbearable. I've almost quit reading a few times because it was so...frustrating....
Quick tip though: Chapter 59 (the most recent one) is a fairly large payoff (not complete payoff, but rather a lot), so make it there. But don't skip to there!
