Tumblr Kaidans...

It really bothers me when people are upset by Kaidan’s sexuality. Shepard is essentially the same person whether male or female, and yet Kaidan is one of only two characters in the series who will fall in love with them regardless of gender. It seems to me that Kaidan’s feelings for Shepard have little to do with physical attributes; they’re entirely based upon his/her personality. How many people can truly say their love could look past their gender and love them for who they are inside?

I shouldn't be surspised. He's never anything less than professional in my games. I've never understood the "He forces himself" on me argument . We had lunch on the Citadel and he said what a great friend my Shepard was. I don't see what the big deal is.

There are peopole upset that Sam & Steve are gay so why should it surprise you that some are mad that Kaidan was "turned bi"  Not so much people in this thread, but yes.  There was a firestorm when it was announced that Kaidan was going to be a romance option for male Shepard in ME3.  It also comes up every so often in some threads with occasional echos getting in here. 

Those that claim to be ninja-romanced aren't paying attention, no matter the LI.  Anyway, I do NOT want to start that fight here so dropping topic.

Well yeah. My Shepard's LI is Miranda. Kaidan is always professional.

I honestly have no idea why people insist these characters force themselves on Shepard. My Shepard can't talk to Kaidan about his mother or visit him when he's injured? He can't take him on missions?

I don't think it's quite fair to equate people who felt that Kaidan's character was being changed with people who just didn't want gay characters.  Even if you disagree with the former, they're still better than "NO GAIS IN MAY GAMEZ!!" people...

I don't see why I shouldn't. He's a great guy to talk to and says what's on his mind. He was real easy to talk down during the coup because he trusted my Shepard so much.

I didn't even have to make a Paragon or Renegade choice. He simply backed off and said something to the effect of "I hope I don't regret this."

And he has Reave which compliments my Vanguard very well.

Sexuality was never an issue.

This makes me actually glad. Obviously, i have no idea about how difficult it is to friendzone Kaidan.
I never understood why some players could end up downright hating characters, sexual issues aside. But i sense Kaidan has his amount of haters.
Plus i'll compliment you on your tastes in women

You're a great guy Taboo, I know you're a Miri lover and admit she was the only women my (human) Shepard ever dated.  Tali was the other.   But my Shepard(s) heart(s) belong to Kaidan, well one Shep is with Steve.

I mean, he's like the most laid-back squadmate ever.

Okay, I don't really know him cuz I never get to play with him, but I hate bioware for that.  Not Kaidan.
