Well this is how I did it. Shepard and Kaidan wanted children (in the future) so through the miracle of modern (mass effect time) science they prepared the way. Doctor Michele was able to hook them up! I'm not sure that if I had a female Shepard that I would have planned it enough in advance, but because I was playing as a male Shepard romancing Kaidan and since I was playing that particular Shepard (Abelard) I knew it was something that would have come up in conversations between him and Kaidan, since both have surviving parents that might think continuing their line is important..

I don't know if this is spoiler or not for a romance thing but if you have talked to Miranda she tells you a few things about how she was created in ME2, if you don't know what it is you'll have to look it up or something because I don't want to spoil it for anybody who hasn't given her the time of day yet. LOL!

So essentially test-tub babies that are developed within incubators and become tank-born.

*shrugs* I suppose a female Shepard could do the same thing but without the foreknowledge of dying I just can't see why she would feel it is necessary to begin taking steps to carry on her line.

Yes, Karin can help as well but she doesn't have the facilities to make it happen because she belongs on the Normandy with me!.

Nah, jokes. But seriously. A lot of the tissue in Shepard is cloned, maybe those organs were restored too...?

Besides, it's about 200 years into the future. I'm sure there are many alternatives...  What's the old saying? 'Where there's a will, there's a way.'

Also - Funny story, My Fem!Shep was infertile before Lazarus project. Those organs were actually removed rather graphically as part of a cruel torture years before the Eden Prime assignment. Lazarus actually gave her back the ability to bare children again. She doesn't sleep with Kaidan in ME1 because of that, thinks that Kaidan'll believe she's some kind of freak or deformed deviant (let's just handwave the fact that they're both biotics for the moment and thus are considered 'freaks' but most civi-humans anyway).

Came as an bit of a shock for her when her womanly body functions started again (rather comically thought she was bleeding internally.), and an anoyance because she had to start taking anti-pregnancy meds again...

You're not the first to ask for the thread to stick to topic - last time there was a bit of an explosion, some fragments made one new forum, some stayed, and some long-time Kaidanites have not been seen here since *sniff* - while I agree that this thread veers off topic very often I don't think there's much chance it'll change...

I thought about leaving a few times because it's taking up so much of my day and I feel guilty spending so much time on this but then I don't know how I'd get Kaidan news / announces of new fanfic, etc., so I stick with it as best I can. And it's not that I don't enjoy being here, it's just really hard when I only have fragments of time in the day that I can spend here. (there goes my lunch break!)

I'm only on here so much lately because I'm converting video files to make Shepard/Kaidan video's and I need something to do while waiting "forever" for the conversion. haha! But I stopped coming to this thread long ago because of the chatter about other stuff and the torid love affairs between posters.

Have a Kaidan comment and picture with a side of default male Shep and Liara!

Do u mean like you read EVERY post? I don't do that...usually I just skim, and if I am happy I reply to posts, if not, I just assume self-assigned troll patrol duties

Hehe - yeah, children are a whole different dimension of fun. I would just want them to be happy - if they felt ready to settle down and have kids then that would definitely be possible by whatever means available in their time period, though I have to say that anyone who has had kids will know that it is by far the furthest thing from settling down possible. Turning worlds upside down to a whole new level of chaos, more like!

Putting it that way, maybe Shep would enjoy it...

Shep: "I destroyed the Reapers, I WILL get this baby to sleep!" 
Kaidan: "Ok, maybe it's MY turn to do bedtime tonight!"

I remember i was like, "why do i have critical mission failure for the 5thh time? i didnt' fall into some random abyss". Only when i looked up YT vids did i know the lava was missing

About Shenko babies, my canon paragon, main renegade, paragrade Sheploo would want to have them only if Kaidan consents. But my douche renegade wouldn't want them and would rather take over the galaxy with Kaidan...or Garrus :'D

I think not having children with Shepard makes Kaidan wear this expression a-lot! Just my opinion you don't have to agree!
