Me too. My Sentinel is more of a biotic with Reave + Throw than techie. And sometimes I mix both Tech Armor and Barrier, shame that one cannot see Barrier when TA is in effect.

In ME1 my first PT was a soldier and I seemed fine, had to switch weapons alot to avoid overheats for different damage types. In ME2 I switched to Vanguard then an Adept on my second PT.   Oh man did I love Adept in ME2, then in ME3 I did Adept first and really loved it. 

For my second PT in ME3, Doodle talked me into Sentinel. Now I play it like Beep, as as semi-adept with Reave and Throw and pop-TA when needed. 

For MP, I'm really liking the N7 Pally Sent class.  I'm trying to find a good weapon mix for it though.  I did a few private rounds on bronze last night, only could get 3 or 4 rounds before dying but I was playing with weapon mixes. Seemed to do best playing it like a mini-Vanguard: get in close freeze then melee while carrying the Geth SMG and Mattock Assault.  

I got an Eagle II in my pack. I really wanted an upgrade the Mattock AR.  I keep getting stupid upgrades to snipers, shotguns or SMGs.

If you didn't know, Kunari, you can use Paladin's Snap Freeze through walls. Very handy.

Being a soldier Shep was okay for the normal difficulty playthrough, but it's a real pain having to rely only on the weapons to beat the ridiculously protected insanity enemies

Oh! Just opened the commendation pack and got an N7 Valiant II upgrade. Aw, I don't often use sniper rifles on MP.
