to celebrate the commencement of the weekend:

this one is sad

see that pic.. it reminds me of that ad in ME2 where the asari was saying how Shep came back from the dead and whether he/she needed a coffin...

Because I thought it was from Mars, and on Mars, you get some variable scenes with an imported romance (I assumed you'd get some other dialogue there than this one line).Nrieh wrote...
Why only new? It is romance-specific for import as well. And it's Cronos, as was already mentioned. I forgot about it, yeah - second romance-specific line. through the game.
Not sure. The points for that one are not the same as his relationship points, and the conversation is more complex. It looks like >= 4 is where he automatically trusts you ("I better not regret this."), but there are checks for everything from 0-4 for other reactions from the VS (I think you always have the chance to charm or intimidate your way through it, even when they don't really trust you). It all depends how you weave your way through the dialogue. (There's also a condition for <= args, but I didn't look at the responses those lead to.)Nrieh wrote...
Interesting. What is pass check for Coup? I think I've seen score list somewhere, but I can't remember. I thought it's impossible to pass Coup check AND stay out of high score. Unless there is some way to loose score after passing check (I wonder where - you have only Normandy talk).

Not same?? You mean "coup trust" counts separately from "affection"?? Wow, that means extra variables...And Coding God forbids to make extra variables unless really necessary! 8PNot sure. oh my... are those pancakes...?
(is Kaidan inviting shepard to eat them off him?)

I'm charmed by BW logic. Throw out and cut off all sorts of things for sake of simplifying and resource economy, but write multilayered logic for killing (or keeping alive) Kaidan Alenko...

I did find the response when killing Kaidan who doesn't like you, though:
Shepard: "Kaidan. What the hell were you thinking?"
Kaidan: "I was doing my duty."
Shepard: "You stood up for the wrong man."
Kaidan: "Better... better than killing the wrong man."
Shepard got burned!

uhm...I never thought I'd say it - but hey, it's a videogame. Computers do not read minds so far, they need to operate with variables and constants in order to process things. How else would game know whom to bring to your cabin before Cerberus?! 8PYeah yeah.
I'm actually annoyed by that "romance lock" variable.
How silly can that be? I mean what a lame way to code what love is.

And though coding is a meta-meta-gaming part - it's interesting to know how they modeled this or that. The more variables and operators - the more complex logic of events we have. Much same as with RL, actually.

Oh, I feel like the new guy who just met a group of who all already know each other. Uhhhhh, Kaidan/MaleShep was probably my second favorite ME3 romance. I think Kaidan is an awesome character and was really glad he was available as a squadmate in ME3. I was sad when I couldn't recruit him in ME2. I wish he would've gotten more screen time in ME3.
