Blue is his color, so I don't mind him wearing the same outfit. It's a bit strange for him to keep the same outfit for several years or maybe it's just me. I usually buy new set of clothes for every years.krukow wrote...
Hey, so, honest question.
Are you guys okay with Kaidan just having a default alliance outfit in the game? I mean, I didn't even notice till someone pointed it out in a thread I was in.
Are you all annoyed he didn't get his own outfit, or okay because it's more realistic (alliance uniform)?

Nope. I really think that NPC should stay, well... NPC. But I'd totally appreciate old crew involvement, as long as they keep their writing good. He could be just a questgiver or temporary squad member. Same as any other old squad. With some Shepard references (of course). But I do not want to see him as player- guided character, with deciding what he has to think and what he has to say.A game taking place in the 2 years Shepard was dead. Specifically, with Kaidan as the protaganist. Would be interesting to be in his shoes for once.
An Alliance officer wearing alliance uniform - oh yeah, so gamebreaking and so hard to believe! They should've made a bunny suit for him, I guess..Are you all annoyed he didn't get his own outfit, or okay because it's more realistic (alliance uniform)?

Eh, there will probably come a day when this thread will die, the thought of it makes me a bit sad, because I'll miss the fun and emotions I had here around Kaidan and people who love him - and also because it would mean leaving Kaidan alone. I don't know why you said something about this thread being owned, it doesn't belong to anybody but Kaidan, so as I told you before, please come here more often and contribute!

I'm not OK with it, I'm thankful for it!
It makes sense, makes him look good, is more realistic!
Plus it's a reminder of his ME1 self, so I'm happy about it all the way!

Excuse me, but what's the big deal of small amounts of off-topic every now and then? Every thread has it's own off-topic banter. If the off-topic would be such a problem like you make it sound, the mods would've locked this thread a long time ago.

On the cigarette question > actually i don't see cigarettes still existing in ME time, or maybe "enhanced" cigarettes that would only have "positive" effects (such as doing something with your hands on social occasions
I can't see Kaidan as a smoker either - but who knows? maybe biotics can handle chemical substances differently?

true..... i wouldn't want to see Kaidan agonizing over Shep. It's too painful to watch:(
I doubt BW would make any DLCs on this, it will just be headcanons for us ( probably best leave it at that since i am don't like disappointments)

I do fear what EA will do/force out of Bioware now with the Doctors gone.
I guess the real question is, "Will it still feel like a Mass Effect game without the characters I love?"
It was partly time but the endings would have been pretty much what we saw in the leaks.
Like I said, I'll be hopeful but will be more cautious of future BW games. Gone are the days when I'd squeel about the next BW game and pre-order with glee.
Kunari801 wrote...
My faith in BW has been shaken, no not by DA2 or SWTOR, but by ME3. I have issues with most of the plot holes of ME3 (from the start of the game) but I can forgive most of them for the enjoyable ride that was my first PT, well, up to the final 10min at least. Unlike you, I did NOT enjoy the endings and that's a wound that will not ever fully heal. It's also a woud that no amount of DLC (the EC) could have fixed.
I hope they can pull off a great new Mass Effect game. I can "forgive" them for ME3 endings, and the EC helps with that, but I can't forget. BW was the last game company I had blind trust in, but now that's gone, I will judge each new game as it comes and hold my purchase now until it's released. It's the same policy I have with other game companies now.
I know it's late, but I have the same feeling. ME3 as a whole has left me with a sense of...bitterness and nihilism, which is an experience I never felt from all my years of video gaming and I'd never want to experience that again
(yep, still bitter after more than 6 months). I'm always left "speculating" on what could have been instead of that "wow, that was a great finish and an ending Shep deserved" feeling I expected. What makes the experience even more saddening is the fact that I considered Bioware the gaming company I loved the most. Because of ME3, I've become more ambivalent and judging of whatever ME stuff they plan to do; it's a right to be suspicious about new games, but it is still an uncomfortable feeling, especially given my former enthusiasm for BW games. Leviathan, as much as I loved the character interactions, certainly didn't help for me plot-wise...left me frustrated with the endings even more actually. Still, I'm uncharacteristically saddened that the two doctors retired (nostalgia and gratefulness for them? I dunno); hope the best for them.
About the new ME game, I'm not particularly excited about it either. If they manage to connect it to Shepard flawlessly (post-ME3?), then maybe. But a prequel...err
About Omega...I wasn't that excited because of the people's accurate speculations about it, but more SP news is welcome. I'm craving something in SP that will erase some of my bitterness for the plot. More character interactions is a plus though.
Still, I'm actually more excited and optimistic about DA3's confirmation. Now that I think about it, I'm actually more fond of the DA team than ME's. We'll see, we'll see~

I'm actually more annoyed that Ash wasn't in the default alliance uniform. I think she looks better in it, aside from the realism that entails. I'm also annoyed at the attempt to make Ash more "marketable" than Kaidan by giving her a different uniform. Although Kaidan in the standard uniform was a plus for him (at least for me), it seemed like BW gave Ash some sort of a special treatment than Kaidan in the uniform aspect (not that it ended well IMO). It would have been best for them both to be in the standard uniform. If there's a need for a different uniform though, make it for the both of them--uniforms that will fit realistically and not merely just for fan service.
