I have served a few americans and I love the accent, not sure why they come to my little town on the seafront when there's Brighton a few miles down the road. I really want to visit New York or Boston in the future.

Wonder if we get to visit London in ME3 due to the trailer...

Brighton is too busy, it is Nottingham-by-the-sea :P
We get lots of tourists in Eastbourne, many are European... :D Don't think the Reapers are coming here though...

I think I like the idea of tall Kaidan because I am a shrimp (5 foot 1). Towering Kaidan just seems smexy.

I'm 5ft2, or 5ft3 if I round up. That's why I made my Shepard a little taller. Then, I give Kaidan a 3-5 inch difference. Sometimes too much towering seems like too much neck bending and tippy-toeing. My boyfriend is 3-4 inches taller than me and I still have to stand on my tip-toes.  =] So, it's difficult for me to imagine an 8+ inch difference.. But I wouldn't be so shallow as to turn Kaidan/anyone away just because they were too tall...Just saying in terms of my "ideal Kaidan." :D

Yes, all hail the shorties! *highfives* ... or is it *lowfives*? I'm 5'2, and my husband is 6'1, so when he hugs me he'll hug my head. :P He's so funny.

I see Kaidan as 5'10 or 5'11. Tall enough but not towering. (Although I've heard a few people say that if a guy is under 6 feet they're too short... I don't get that. ) It's not really that big a factor though, I like tall guys (like Jared Padelecki at 6'4) and shorter guys (like Jonathan Togo at 5'10). They're usually going to be taller than me anyway.

That's me and my husband, same height and everything :P
And I also said I thought Kaidan was around 5'10-11'' :o

This is only an idea, but what if we made a petition for more kaidan and got lots of people to sign it.... so bioware knows how much we love and want to see more of him. Then pass around this petition like a $5 hooker and make their jaws drop at our kaidan love. You know.... for the kaidan love.

.... I'd sign it if it got me one more picture of kaidan from ME3...

I think they'd just pat our heads and say "That's cute."
<_<
But I think we should be a little more patient. Don't hit me! I know we've been patient enough, but to be fair they haven't released much of anybody else besides Liara and a little bit of Garrus. And if Ashley was in the manShep trailer, Kaidan should be in the femShep trailer.
But I would sign it nevertheless....

For my Shenko artwork... well, it's hard to explain-- I've been using the height difference between me and my boyfriend as a scale of sorts. x_x 5'8" (me) vs 6'1.5" (him) ... which I guess is kind of keeping in line with the games.

For the poster who was looking for good M-rated femShep/Kaidan:

I have two words for you. Fortunesque's Parallax. Go search for it on FF.net (or if you want the full glory, AFF.net) now, assuming you haven't already read it! Sadly, she never finished it, as she ended up abandoning the project for the Fallout: New Vegas fandom, but what is there is jam packed with sheer hawtness

(Realized I've been a horrible fangirl and haven't posted here in a while)

Wow Isaac! Exactly how do you do that? Export the models somehow? Photomanips of screenshots? Whatever you do it makes him look even better than the actually ingame model. Excellent use of lighting.

And for no particular reason, Kaidan ninja move!!

THAT'S TOO BEAUTIFUL FOR WORDS!

<3<3<3

I need manShep/Kaidan in ME3. I'm sure that any other bisexual male option would do a wonderful job romancing my manShep, but I really do have my heart set on Kaidan. He's perfect!

Thank you sweetie (and Katie too <3). I'm posing the models & render them, but this time I played hella long in Photoshop fixing everything, enhancing lighting and manipulating colors etc, I'm happy with the results

Anyway, been away for a few days, any Kai news? I think I already know the answer :(

mmmm a model of Kaidan.... *Slap self* NO! You know you will only do terrible things with him!

Nope no new news on anything, masseffect.com has new screenshots but they are all of Sheploo and the squadmates they have already shown.

Honestly though, I really glad they are keeping so tight lipped. I was pissed off at myself for finding out that Archangel was Garrus before ME2 was released. We have seen were Ashley appears on the Normandy when rescuing Shep and Anderson and its assumed that Kaidan will be in her place if he is alive and she is not. But I highly doubt that is the first time we see him ingame.

I know Kaidan will be a squadmate and there will be 'a big pay off for romance loyalist' but that is all I want to know right now. I'm looking forward to be wowed and surprised by the things Kaidan does in ME3. Zody will be my first play through and I can't wait to ball my eyes out at them two and whatever happy/sad/bittersweet gauntlet of a conclusion Bioware sends them through.

For the most part, I agree with this, because I don't want to know HUGE spoilers about Kaidan in ME3... but I would like to know little things, like what kind of powers he'll have, if he's a "permanent" squadmate, where is he staying on the Normandy... things like that.

Plus, I'll never say no to more Kaidan in the ME3 advertisements and trailers.

Your patience will be rewarded..."We have dismissed this claim".  So, Mac tweeting "Why would you want to kill Liara?"  Because she's turned into a scary psycho stalker who handed your body over to Cerberus and can't really be trusted any more.  Conrad Vernon level of fixation.  Seriously, Bioware I don't want Liara...EVER.  Stop, just stop. She's your wet dream, not ours.  We are redblooded females that demand our Biotic Sex God.  You will produce him.  Now. :wizard:

Waits.  Yeah, I didn't think that would work.

Pitchforks and torches; pitchforks and torches.<_<

Edit.

So, random question.  Do you think the any of the devs are actually married/partnered successfully?  Because they don't really come off as actually knowing how real relationships work or is this my overactive imagination? Again.

Yeah, I get worried about the Virmire Survivor actually having a role in ME3, because (in theory) Bioware woul dhave to make twice as much content for what amounts to only one character... So I'm afraid that Bioware will just split the difference and only give us a little bit of Kaidan in ME3. I also have this really huge fear that when Bioware says, "If you stayed loyal to your ME1 love-interest, you'll be rewarded!" that they really just meant those who stayed loyal to Liara. :?

Yes. Many of them, in fact, are married with children. Real life relationships rarely equate to fictional relationships, and I don't think it's fair for any of us to judge the Bioware devs' personal relationships.

Back on the subject of Kaidan... My femShep had friendly drinks with Liara, and I hope that Kaidan doesn't hold that against her. Nothing happened, of course, but you never know with Liara... she tends to take any friendly gesture as a flirtation... Maybe I should go back and turn down Liara's offer for drinks? I was just trying to be nice to her, but if it's between that and Kaidan, I choose Kaidan. :crying:

I don't think Kaidan will have issue with Liara and friendly drinks. he might have issue with her giving Shepards body to Cerberus and not telling anyone, especially him.

as for real life vs fictional relationships... if all of bioware's writers subscribe to DA team's view on how romances in video games should work - they are pretty deliberately adding drama to it, because apparently normal relationships are just not that interesting >_> Considering Horizon, initial meeting with Liara and dis-functionality of half the ME2 LI's? I have this bad feeling that they are leaning in that direction. I can only hope that they think Horizon and getting over it is drama enough for VS at least..

Oh, yes, this! I really, really hope that I can convince Kaidan to be mad at Liara instead of Shepard. It really is all Liara's fault. Hopefully, one of the first things we can do with the Virmire Survivor (besides rip his clothes off, of course) is really dig in to everything that happened after the Normandy exploded and explain what really happened, for both Shepard and Kaidan. I think both parties have some explaining to do, and with luck, Kaidan can be convinced to be grumpy at Liara instead.

Considering my canon Shepard's reaction on "I gave your body to Cerberus because I couldn't let you go" - turned her back and left, never coming back - I won't be surprised to see majority of old team enraged by this fact. And maybe Hackett too.

The strange thing is that DA team can make believeable, strong and lasting relationships. Aveline/Donnic, anyone? This two give me the strongest deja vu possible, though:wub:

Oh, and nice to see you posting again, Isaac! This artwork rocks;)

Sorry.  Grumpy again due to Toddler not wanting to sleep.:(

@Katie That's exactly what I fear.  "We meant Liara people.  Who'd romance Kaidan/Ashley?"  :pinched:
@Leah.  Let's hope, ehh.  Forget that, let's pray fervently we get this.:wizard:

@mineralica.  Really.  LothSB lets you talk it out a little w/o screaming.  I really wanted to scream at her at the end still, but Bioware won't let their golden squid-smurf be yelled at. <_<

Bioware stop with the Liara.  Please!

@ Mineralica, Aveline and Donnic don't count cause they are npc's (and there's still a bit of a hardship in the beginning, adorable one, but they don't start off smoothly). Notice how the most well adjusted and least dramatic characters are the ones players cannot romance? I'd have to dig for that quote, but Gaider outright said that he was inspired by twilight when it came to romantic relationships between player character and npc's. and then there was Mary Kirby saying that real life relationships don't translate well into interesting video game romances, and that there need to be issues of some sort that players must overcome. some sort of personal drama.

bioware writers can spin tales exceptionally well, when they put their minds to it, but sometimes, I feel like they might be listening to only some of the fans, and not taking all the variety of opinions into consideration, only a certain majority. heck I've even seen Kaidan fans here, talking about how nice it would be if Kaidan would do something dramatic, jealous, Anders-like. all that talk about which LI will kick whose butt... desire to have someone normal, someone who doesn't need fixing - seems to get lost. or taken to the extreme of Jacob (and I like Jacob, but that man REALLY doesn't want to talk about himself, cause god forbid he talks about himself - oh no, he's whiny! >_>)

There's another option to find this out - after second Liara's quest, my memory is a bit dizzy about what to do later but "investigate", then renegade option and Liara will tell you she kept body, then something like "Why keep it in secret?" (upper left?), then there'll be renegade and neutral responses.

But enough about Liara. She gives me emotions right contrary to what I expect from this thread.

'hugs' did I say I love you? I'm 5'10"... walking stereotype of russian girl, so to say. It was so confusing to read several previous pages.

I imagine my Shepards to be from 5'5" (Alyson, built Vanguard who looks slightly short compared to turians and salarians) to 6'3" (Ingrid. Who said something about "towering" here? She loves to suppress the person she talks with, and constant looking from above helps a lot). So yes, Kaidan is about 6' in my head canon.

Edit: inspired by Twilight? Seriously? This was the closest case to "broke keyboaqrd with forehead" in my life.
