Each player just loves who he wants his/her Shepard and himself/herself to love, end of story.
Why is it that to proove that Kaidan is awesome, would anywone need to make other LIs as sterile and lame creatures???

It was time for a change. 

As for LIs. People pick and choose based upon things in real life.

Miranda has fertility issues. Not a problem for me at all. She warms up quite a bit and she really loves Shepard. In the end that's all that matters canon-wise.

Steve is Gay. Not an issue either. In fact he's one of the only Gay men I've seen in a game that didn't make me facepalm because the presentation was so awful.

Kaidain is Bisexual. Again, not an issue. There is no perceived "gay threat" when I have him around in the playthrough. He's never been anything but a friend. I've never had any inclination of him being anything less than professional.

Now I obviously can't understand things from an LGBT perspective in certain areas but I can certainly appreciate the relationships themselves.

The guys in the Steve thread has said they'd help Miranda if she got DLC. The interest for their Shepard obviously isn't there but they respect her more than some people in the Miranda thread itself.

No one can really be better because each individual Shepard is different. My Shepard is straight just like me and Miranda is the only person crazy enough for him.

But under no circumstances does that mean he can't be friends with Kaidan, Steve and Traynor.

As for me, I'm very much happy to discuss anything as long as it's not hurting people's feelings unecessarily. We all know these are only virtual characters, but we also know that people can get very emotionally involved with them through their Shepard, so let's just be thoughtful around each other, that's all.

As a woman, I know that fertility problems are not something you can talk lightly about, too, so saying that Miranda is a less "worthy" LI for lack of better words just because she can't have children is plain stupid.

As for Steve, Beep knows my opinion about it already, I think
