If you like Mshenko fan fictions, I recently finished to read Jungle World. It is pretty nice. Andrew Ryan draw a wonderful picture for this novel.
THAT IS HOW ME3 SHOULD HAVE ENDED!

Anyone know who Kaidan's writer was in 1 and 3?
Anyone know who Kaidan's writer was in 1 and 3?
It was apparently Luke Kristjanson in ME1 and Cathleen Rootsaert in ME3.
@Street Magic
Sure.
Lukas Kristjanson wrote Kaidan in Mass Effect 1.
Cathleen Rootsaert wrote Kaidan in Mass Effect 3.
They both did a great job, especially Cathleen with his romance with MaleShep ![]()
EDIT: ninja'd ![]()
I want to share this Mshenko fan fiction that I read today: Dream Of A Normal Death

It is very nice and touching. Hope you like it.
And scruffy Kaidan is back in my playthrough... Kaidan's gif overload!
sigh... ME3 is one non-stop Kaidanmance playthrough. Maybe I should delete some of the older gifs.
sigh, I never get tired of watching this happen to them.... I always love to watch how their relationship grew and strengthen overtime.
And I didn't realize that this scene is about Kaidan talking about what happened in ME2.
very specifically this scene.
oh the feels... poor Kaidan.

I will probably not see these scenes with my current FemShep for roleplay reasons. Or maybe I will to a certain extent, but I don't know how some things are changing.
I'm sick of being sick so I did something really cruel today.

Dang, this game is good at making me feel guilty when I tear these two apart...

Haaa, the future for my current Shep! I will be sad when I end these 2...
but somehow it feels more realistic. Like this is the proper response Shepard should have and then Kaidan would argue the sh*t out of her. I could imagine a lot of creative branch of dialogues that lead up to "F- professional, the world is ending. I know you love me..." and big dramatic explosion in the middle of public space. Ah, spanish telenovela.
and that funny thing in SWTOR when Bastila Shan's descendent, Satele Shan (Jennifer Hale) in the same room with Master Jaric Kaeden. Ah, Bioware and my OTPs.
So, random, frivolous question. Does anyone have a favorite class for a Shepard paired with Kaidan?
I've paired him with a fellow Sentinel and an Engineer. That's mostly because those are my favorite classes, but I really do like the concept of them being able to talk shop about either biotics or tech.
Did anyone choose a class to contrast or compliment his?

That Andrew Ryan piece is just beautifully done. Of course they all are, but I really love the use of light and shadow there. It creates such an intimate feeling.

Unfortunately I have not yet played all classes, so far Soldier (but that was on Casual the first time I ever played and I barely even used Powers/paid attention to the combat system in general), Engineer and now an Adept.
I loved Engineer together with Kaidan, especially Cryo Blast/Incinerate, which of course I could've also done by myself the whole time (and did to a big extent), but it was great ordering him to freeze something and I would detonate it
Also we reaved together a lot (that was my bonus power). And I can dream of him throwing himself in front of me to protect me with an active Barrier instead of being able to create one on my own ![]()
Next time I'll either try Vanguard or Sentinel and maybe, if I remember, I will post again on this topic to update my findings/likings ![]()

I keep him alive on my biotic characters... good combat synergy and a fun way to roleplay opposing worldviews/attitudes.
If I recall correctly, you even get a class sensitive comment during Samara's quest... where he or both of you confess they can't fly like she does.
Depending on your style and difficulties. For me, it happens to be Vanguard and Infiltrator and as Sentinel, he balance these two classes really well. I like to play on Insanity and I find that he's least effective with weapon/power-only class (Soldier/Adept/Engineer). In ME1, being Sentinel Shepard made Kaidan redundant but squad combination didn't really matter much in ME3 especially if you spec it right.
In ME1, I like to use Kaidan + Wrex combo. They're both brutal against enemies and can withstand a lot of damage and enemy swarms. I like to put them in the line of fire while I snipe. Kaidan+Liara is okay too.
In ME3, much like SentinelShep, Sentinels squadmates like Kaidan, Miranda and Nyreen are effective against everything in the game. They strip barriers and shields, weaken armor and make all kind of explosions. With VanguardShep, his Reave + Biotic Charge + Nova made everything go nuclear. With InfiltratorShep, I hardly use his Cryo Blast since I have Cryo Squad Ammo. He would cryo-prime enemies with his assault rifle and then detonate with overload. Since he have barrier and reave which took away some damage off him, he can handle himself well surrounded by Banshees and Brutes while I snipe from afar.
He rarely talk shop about Shepard's class. just a small dialogue in ME1 and ME3. Irrelevant really.. but storywise, I like having my well-adjusted antipsychotic sentinel with my tech-ninja infiltrator. They balance each other in and out of combat. Ying and Yang.
In ME1, I like to use Kaidan + Wrex combo.
I did that too, with my MaleShep soldier. While the two of them fight very well together, they do not banter a lot and Wrex does not seem to like/be fond of Kaidan.
Next time I will try Liara ![]()
In Mass Effect 3, I used Kaidan and Vega. I think they rock.
Also, the sight of these two handsome guys made me horny every time I played ![]()
I find its poetic to bring Kaidan and Vega along during the final push. They were there at Vancouver when Normandy came for Shepard and they're the last to see Shepard at London. Combat-wise, they're both brutal together during the final swarm. Besides its an Alliance operation and they're fighting to free Earth.
Still one of my favourite scene in ME3.
and I love that he scolded Shepard later. "You scare the hell out of me with those risky stunt, Shepard. But I guess its also a part of what I love about you. You know, whenever we discover something amazing like that. I wonder what else might be out there. Or even right under our noses."Argh... these two adorables...

Yup, Leviathan. He's not big about letting her alone underwater. Which is kinda cute considering this is a rehash of his ME1 line when he accidentally said he love her by the weapon locker.

Cool. I like all of the scenes where Shep shows just how insane he/she is.
