I’ve got it.... Kaidan can go live in the cabin and Thane can go live in engineering, opposite ends of the ship faaaaaar apart.

I think definitely food fight... you know with desert, if desert was some kind of chocolate thing that they can get covered in. Thennaturally Shep would have to take them upstairs and get them clean.....  sorry my mind sometimes likes to live in the gutter.

Thanks!  I do have that one playthrough where I romanced Thane, and that look will almost certainly apply when THAT one plays out. 

But I prefer to think of this as the look he gets whenever Shepard exhibits a total disregard for her own life –
charging into the middle of a cluster of bad guys, head-butting a Krogan, walking straight up to a beacon on Virmire…

Oh, and I think the "unfaithful" Shenko storyline may be different depending on who you romanced. Like, Garrus or Jacob and whooooaaa tension. Romance Thane and whooaaaa tension, but hey, he might be dead pretty soon.

Bioware certainly didn't lessen the hate with Horizon.

That said, people act as if Kaidan and Ashley did something so grave in refusing to give up their careers (and after having risen through the ranks) to work alongside Cerberus.

Since forever? When you get people in an anonymous social setting whether they can't cause you physical pain, they will b*tch about everything, insult everyone, and troll anyone. Especially when people jump on the bandwagon for the sole purpose of being able to complain.

when I started chatting in about 1999/2000 it seemed differently ... it was a Star Trek chat and while we may have preferred different series it was mostly friendly and roleplay-ish ...
it changed over time to the point where you practically were booo-ed at for liking the 'wrong' series or not thinking ST XI was the worst movie EVER etc. but it started out all right

Poor young, naive Criz.... nah, just kidding. 

I started out around 99/00 as well, on a gaming forum, and people were still mean to each other for liking/hating certain games, but it's nothing compared to how it is now. In fact... it seems almost tame when I see some of the stuff that goes on in forums anymore. Back then we didn't have to "hide" in certain threads because we'd get bashed/trolled if we posted anywhere else.

Humanity is going to destroy itself... through the internet...

Try to focus on the nice things =) I have meet so many nice people on the different places that I post that they easily outweigh the negative ones. Oki. the complainers are often quite loud. But that doesn't mean that one should give them too much attention. And if that is how they want to play the game, it just fine. It doesn't affect my FemSheps.

I just started my first Kaidan-unfaithful FemShep in ME2. Jupp, I'm hoping for a bit of drama for her. Feel silly for it but I'm a bit of a sucker for those kinds of things. Not too much, but a little. Got two faithful ones who can go through the game first =)

that's actualy pretty typical  (strained my limited knowledge of german too :/)  you hang around the fans long enough and you start to forget that far from everyone is a fan (putting it mildly).  my only hope is that bioware sticks to his original characterisation, evolving it believable, instead of rewriting it outright to make the character more "appealing to the general masses"  on good days, that hope is semi strong.

Bah, it seems that I've got immunity to trolls. After some number one more or one less doesn't really matter, you start checking strange things like "VS bingo" in process, or how many lore errors one person might make in post :-P

One thing - why when I'm trying to report on BSN and forget to pick a category, it suggests "child solicitation"? Where's child engine cares about, I wonder.

That photo and your comment inspired me, so have a drabble!  Never written any Kaidan before so apologies if it's off...


Assumptions

The silence following the introduction stretched on, becoming even more apparent when Shepard quietly cleared her throat.

Thane bowed slightly, sensing the tension simmering between the two humans and wisely chose to remove himself from the immediate area. It was obvious from the way Shepard was ravaging her bottom lip between her teeth, that she was caught off-guard by the awkward moment between herself and her newly reunited comrade.

"I will speak with you later, Siha," he murmured, and turned to walk back toward Life Support, where he spent the majority of his idle time. There was a bit more of it to be had since they had managed to safely return from destroying the Collector Base.

Shepard turned back toward Kaidan, sighing inwardly when he didn't relax his posture at all, not even the barest hint of a smile on his face. What was he thinking, and why was she suddenly feeling like a raw recruit under the strength of his glare? It wasn't like the Kaidan she knew, to be rude, but really, how well could she claim to know him anymore? He had been acting just a little off since coming aboard and it was clearly time to get to the bottom of it; the rest of the tour could wait.

A muscle in his jaw twitched irritably as he kept his gaze locked on hers, a challenge there she didn't entirely understand...yet. Tilting her head, she studied him, noting the slight flare of his nostrils when he inhaled and feeling the noticeable increase in the thrum of his biotics. Shepard crossed her arms, mimicking his posture and raising an inquisitive brow.

"I'm gonna take a wild guess here- you have a problem with Thane?"

He laughed quietly without mirth, turning his head to look down the hallway where the drell had disappeared. "What, you don't have a pet name for your new lover too? And what the hell does Siha mean, anyway?"

Her eyes widened and her breath left her in a surprised whoosh. With his angrily spat comment, the whole picture was instantly complete, and incredibly funny. It was also a tremendous relief to have proof of how much he still cared.

"Oh my God!" Shepard guffawed. "Kaidan, are you....jealous?"

The worried tension drained from her muscles as she leaned against the bulkhead, laughing uncontollably at the absurdity of his assumption. It was an almost foreign feeling to laugh with such abandon. How long had it been since she had something to even laugh about. It was such a needed release, she didn't even notice how Kaidan's face darkened further, a dangerous glint in his eyes.

She found herself pushed flush against the wall, caged between it and an angry biotic, her body immediately and enthusiastically reminding her of how long it had been since she had felt his welcome weight pressing against her.

"Is that all I am to you now, Shepard? Something to laugh at?"

He said the words quietly against her ear, his breath hot on her skin, electric currents making her bones feel oddly achy at the tightly controlled power he continued to hold in check. He drew back enough to meet her gaze and her heart melted at the underlying hurt and disappointment she read there. He was obviously trying to cover it with anger but she saw it clearly and it sent a jolt of pain to her heart.

Wiggling enough to move her arms up from where they were caught between them, she wrapped them around his neck, indulging her need to touch him. "Kaidan," she said, with quiet earnestness. "I don't know who's been feeding you misinformation, but you've got it all wrong. There hasn't been anyone else since you."

She waited patiently while the anger on his face was replaced by confusion, then soon after, embarrassment. Just as he drew a breath to speak, (she assumed to apologize) she pressed her mouth to his to silence him. After the briefest hesitation he responded, his kiss tasting of relief and more than a hint of desperation. 

He pulled back with a shaky sigh, resting his forehead against hers. "Shepard, I'm sorry. I don't know what just happened; that's not me, not really. I guess I just saw red when the first thing I heard when I came aboard was how close you and Thane were, and how much time you spent alone together. It made me angry to think how easily you could move on when I've been struggling to.."

She placed a finger to his mouth to stop him. "I'm going to take another wild guess and say it was Joker that told you his version of the current gossip?" He nodded silently and she gave him a crooked smile, moving her hand to stroke his stubbled cheek. "Even though I kinda love the angry, jealous thing you had going, you really have nothing to worry about. Besides, I may have experienced a bit of that myself when you mentioned going out with a certain lady doctor."

He smirked, secretly happy that he had managed to evoke a little jealousy by including that tidbit in his email after the Horizon debacle, even if that hadn't been his original intent. Maybe that was why she had taken so long to respond. It was a comforting thought, but he didn't want her to get the wrong idea.

His expression sobered, his brown eyes raw with unguarded emotion. He traced a thumb across the very faint scar on her brow. "It was just drinks, Shepard. There will never be anyone else for me but you. I've finally come to terms with that."

Shepard glanced left and right to confirm they were still alone before leaning in for another kiss. "I think we're finally on the same page. How would you like to come up to my quarters, Kaidan?" she murmured. "I can show you my fish tank."

He tilted his head, uncertain if that was a euphemism for something or not, but game to find out, and more than eager to finally spend some time alone with her. She laced their fingers together and led him toward the elevator. She glanced back over her shoulder and grinned when he smiled and gave her a warmly familiar answer.

"I'd like that."

For the time being, nothing further needed to be said.

Alright... After looking over the first ten pages of this thread.I feel sort of dirty...And i all have to say is:




When one comes to a devoted to one character in particular thread.There are a few things that one should be able to reasonably expect to see within.Namely discussion and talk about the CHARACTERIZATION of who
the thread is about.Talk about what you like or dislike about him or her.And talk about what sort of story arc will BioWare  give him in Mass Effect 3.It's seems like the only thing that people in this thread care about:

What the hell's the matter with you people? Kaidan is a good guy.He's a descent bloke.The way many of you are carrying on about him in this thread and with the fan art your showing of him.If someone happened upon
this place and did not know who Kaidan Alenko was.They might think that he was a very popular

No. I find it "highly' disturbing... I find it highly disturbing when (so-thought of) real people behave in a manner that not even fictitious characters do... Some of you hear make FemShep "lecherous voice" (while trying to get with Jacob) look tame in comparison. There is a fine line between admiring how someone looks and creeping them the f*ck out... If Kaidan were real.I think that he would avoid most of you with a ten foot poll, the way you've been carrying on here!

Sigh... Rant Over.

For my part... One of my favorite moments betwixt Shepard and Kaidan is this:

Kaidan: Anything you need Commander?

Shepard: Just trying to get a sense of where the crew is at - thoughts?

Kaidan: Were all in for the duration.You can count on everyone to do their duty.

Shepard: What's your opinion of the last mission?

Kaidan: Input? Hell. I don't know. We're fighting giant machines from outside the galaxy.Should I be
afraid of them? Or in awe of them? Anything so old, so intelligent...

Shepard: We may be "ants" to them, but humans have never managed to exterminate ants.

Kaidan: Makes you wonder.Are ants any more aware than we were? Of the giants that walk over their heads?

That's the guy I want on my team in Mass Effect 3...
