@Pax of Doom I think maybe you could upgrade Kaidan's inplant through research like you did Jack's . But I don't think it would really change his character because even in the original Mass Effect he told someone in the elevator at the Citadal that he was having less migraines so, I don't think it would deminish his character at all. Of course that is just my opinion and I am slightly drunk so hmmm who knows lol. Please excuse all the grammar and spelling errors I am sure to have made.
That's because he's in LOVE. Love can make you not feel things as badly. etc.

I think that was everyone's reaction at the time. Since then, I've decided TIM committeed mounds of psychological warfare against the Kaidan/VS to prevent him from helping you in anyway, shape, or form.
I don't think TIM expected the apology letter. (Possibly he didn't know you were lovers, but very close as fellow service "men"). Of course, my Shep still isn't sure it was from Kaidan. Maybe PsyOps, and Kaidan so better not be the one helping PsyOps if this is the case.

I only remember him saying it once.My only real criticism of him is that ending every conversation with "I don't want to sound like a whiner" is a surefire way to sound like a whiner.
And I actually felt that he was "less" of a whiner (not that he was in the first place) by saying that. It demonstrates that he cares about not shoving his problems on Shepard.

Kaidan himself doesn't mention the migranes that often:
- Chakwas mentions them if you talk to her prior to landing on the Citadel the first time I think (when she's outside of her office)
- it's brought up during elevator conversation, though it's the respective other squaddie who brings it up, not Kaidan
- I think at some time when Kaidan wants to talk to you, it's actually Shepard who asks if it's about his headaches (again)
so doesn't that leave Kaidan to mention it as part of exploring his backstory and then when again on how he got a better grip on things now that he's getting used to the strain?
I need to replay that game and not rush through even if it's just a level-up PT ... *sigh*

Don't ever tell your parents that. My little guy has had a "machine gun" laugh since he figured out how to. I am sooo a horrible parent.
Edit. I've got to go Ladies and Gents. Its 4am and I need a little sleep. Which I won't get now, cause the baby's banging the bottle on the crib. The boy's a bottomless pit.

You're right; Kaidan only says it once. It is mentioned one more time, but it is Shepard who brings it up.

Kaidan didn't want to upgrade his implants: it is brought up at some point when Shepard asks about retrofitting the L2 to L3 and apparently it's a very complicated and risky proceedure. Kaidan answered with something along the lines of "one slip and you won't even remember your name". Keep in mind that migranes are some of the lesser effects of the L2 and biotics. He mentions some of the kids having brain tumors.
Kaidan himself doesn't mention the migranes that often:

He only mentions it in an elevator converstion when the other squaddie brings it up. Chakwas will tell you about his headaches if you ask about him and the L2 stuff. He does mention other kids and brain cancer, but I don't remember the conversation about upgrading. Another sentiel wouldn't ask that question. They know the risks.
Really I have to go. Bai

Well, my mum is dead (but she would have laughed, she was pretty cool and played some games, not like Mass Effect, only like Tetris) she died nearly two years ago.... And my father plays games (he is 74) like Sims and NFS and so on
Not to mention at 45 people tend not to question you as much

He only says it once, but if I remember correctly he says something in the same vein a couple of times. But I could be wrong; it was just a slightly offputting trait from a character I otherwise respect a good deal.Collider wrote...

Considering TIM's manipulations, this scenario is very possible. It's definitely much better VS motivation than some sort of Collector/Reaper 'Manchurian Candidate' thing.
Really looking forward to see how Shepard and Kaidan reunite and the ways in which it plays out.
