for the Kaidan romance at least it sounded like you do want to continue the romance, not end it, but right at this moment when you flew to Ilos didn't want to 'get physical' and Kaidan's reaction confirms as much. He will still say "I swear though if anything happens to you" etc. and doesn't storm off to calibrate the console again because of hurt feelings

I think the reasoning behind the Kaidan LI hate is due to him being "stable"


The Garrus romance never worked for me, too awkward, was like being a teenager losing their virginity. Even the Thane romance worked abit more smoothly in the inter-races argument.

ROFL, I can imagine and your name is beautiful (as is your sister's)  With mine it is that they assume I have accidentally placed that *e* on the end..... oops, yeah, silly me............ 
Maybe we empathise with Kaidan over the mispelling, though and (I have said this before) I sometimes have to consciously put the *a* in Kaidan because it feels when you are spelling it, like it would be *en more than *an.

I think he is hated for a being a regular guy, he's not *considered* dangerous or edgy... there's a hint to that with Kelly when talking about Thane and Shepard can state that dangerous guys aren't really her thing (Honestly, I've had that conversation so many times, no idea why i can't recall it exactly)

I'm pretty sure everyone thinks the same. Even the people that like her don't think she's really the brightest bulb in the drawer. For example...

Anyway, regarding an mShep/Kaidan option, I think it's a lot more likely to happen than people think. Tons of people are calling for S/S romance, and Bioware listens to their fans. It might be a long and slow process for some things, but it always happens eventually. I mean, just look at the long-awaited attention to Femshep that has gone on the rise recently. Besides, didn't Sbarge already confirm that S/S dialogue was being recorded? So even if they take it out at the last minute, it'll still be pretty easy to mod the game to make it possible - and this time, you won't have to put up with Kaidan calling mShep a woman.

Over 1321 people and growing support s/s romance where as only 141 people openly support Kaidan for s/s romance and we all know BioWare love's using statistics, also not all of us as I said before are open and vocal about it , though that didn't stop the FemShep fans get what they wanted but to be honest they were more vocal about it and it was not fair on the FemShep fans that they were not being full recognized by BioWare before.

Tali has a lot of support. Miranda has a lot of support. If BioWare would put two and two, your bet is on Miri in enviro suit or Tali in catsuit?

On serious note, I honestly don't know what to expect from BioWare in question of romances. The latest "now that was unexpected" was "all LI are bi".

Stupid thoughts, but I think I've actually read similar. Gay is gay. My best friend since 8th grade had many relationships with men until her 30's, when she finally came out.

RPGs are supposed to be about making the character who you want him/her to be. I want my Alexander Shepard to be who he really is, dammit.

Going a wee bit off topic, but that conversation reminded me of my renegade game. I didn't care for Chambers from the get-go and told her not to psychoanalyze (for all I knew, she could have been spying for TIM). Was on last name basis the whole game and the conversations were boring, but when she asked about Kaidan, I caved in to reaffirm Shepard's feelings for Kaidan. I didn't want to take the chance of the game recording my response to her as indication of breaking up with Kaidan or moving on or anything. I'm sure it didn't, but every single time that conversation comes up in new playthroughs, my renegade gets weak and weepy just to be safe! =p
