Haha Gilsa, I've done pretty much the same thing. It's like I want everyone to know WE HAVEN'T BROKEN UP, IT'S JUST A RELATIONSHIP GLITCH!! Since I can't reply to his email, everyone else will have to put up with hearing how Femshep loves Kaidan.

Don't worry, I'm 99% you won't have to. Rahpael already confirmed to us they writing Kaidan's s/s romance, they've got more time and money this time than they've had with ME1 so they won't cut it and everybody will be able to get some Kaidan lovin'dunfall14 wrote...
The only problem with that is that some people (like me) don't want to use, cannot use or don't know how to use mods and because we are also using consoles.
I hope so, I really do hope so.
I do too, because not doing so in blatantly sexist. Oh it's okay if it's girl sex cuz guys like it! Oh no Liara's an alien it doesn't count! Man Shep can't be gay cuz he wasn't before! If you give him the option to be it will make me gay!
Stupid thoughts, but I think I've actually read similar. Gay is gay. My best friend since 8th grade had many relationships with men until her 30's, when she finally came out.
RPGs are supposed to be about making the character who you want him/her to be. I want my Alexander Shepard to be who he really is, dammit.

I had thought about it recently and oddly enough it wouldn bother me if the new f/m romance was pretty much the same as the m/m Kaidan romance if BioWare kills two birds with one stone:
it's convenient for them if they only have to worry about one 'new' romance regardless of Shepard's gender, but that's then exactly what I want to get
I don't want the m/m part to be a huge issue and you can exile me from this thread for saying it, but that's what I liked about the Anders romance
what I would want is to have the choice between "I've been meaning to tell you that I had feelings for you but didn't tell you for whatever reason" and "I never considered it before, but now I do" ... for both genders

quick someone tell BioWare that making Kaidan bi might increase the sales of Genesis, so people can virmire him to make sure they're not bothered by 'gay' Kaidan
Yeah, dressing up in asari commando armour and going to talk to guy who mentioned extranet fetish sites in connection with asari before is totally normalFireEye wrote...

Killing a character because of his or her sexuality has so many terrible implications...
That's pretty much what happened to Zevran once all the dudebros heard about his bisexuality. They just slit his throat so that they wouldn't have to deal with "TEH GAY."
Poor Kaidan. Getting nuked for a myriad of unfair reasons... He needs a hug.
LMAOOOOOO! That made me roll! Thanks for quoting that, I really needed the laugh.Caseshep wrote...
And to keep this on topic...
@Red
Well Shepard wouldn't take crap from anyone about her man. And we speak on behalf of Shepard.
You and Heleno and Dirae made us proud.
Part of Heleno's comment:Also, Kaidan doesn't cause Shep's vag to chafe/some major allergic reaction every time they f*ck, and you know, she needs to be at full mobility to stop the Reapers and all. I suppose that's an ok reason to stay with him.
Well said. I'm a big supporter of choice too. It's nice if everyone gets a lick of their favorite flavor.helenovision wrote...
All in all, I think that all romances have enjoyable aspects, and it's awesome that there are so many choices, for so many different types of players. But, even though it seems like I'm a little borderline anti-Garrus, all LIs deserve respect, even if you don't partcularly like them. I know that sounds ridiculously ideal, and it's the internet, and it's never going to happen, but it's how I feel about it. And yeah, I have my favorites, but I really try not to go out of my way to make anyone feel bad about their choices. I mean, that is what these games are built around, CHOICES. And that's why they are so enjoyable, imo, because you can customize the experience to your liking, and there is always something new, if you so choose to go for a different experience.

Just as long at the new romance has a different branch then the "rekindled" romance I won't care.
I just want my reward for being faithful, which is selfish I know.
It's a shame s/s people won't get the Ilos references etc.

I agree with you ZombieGeisha. I want the fact that my femshep and Kaidan developed a relationship throughout
the first game, made love the night before Ilos and lost everything when she died, to actually mean something in ME3. That moment when Kaidan and Shepard are finally reunited needs to be unique. What might have been is different than what we had, and should be handled differently.

It's not just Kaidan, though. How many threads pop up regularly about "Why would you romance Tali?", "How can you be attracted to Garrus?", "Can you forgive Ash?" and the like. People have taken Bioware's greatest achievement, compelling and emotionally engaging characters, and combined it with the John Gabriel Greater Internet F*ckwad Theory to turn it into something incredibly ugly.Bekkael wrote...

Also, why should Kaidan fans always have to justify why we love him? It feels like we are the awkward country cousins that nobody likes in the ME fandom.
Yes. History and a shared past relationship should be shown differently. After all, if Shepard hadn't been blown to hell, they would have been together all that time (not necessarily physically together, but relationship-wise).Chaos715 wrote...

I know it's too much to ask of the internet, but I don't understand why it must be a fight. To actively seek to demean a given character, and to turn people against them, is the height of adolescence. It's spreading rumors in junior high homeroom. We're all (presumably) adults, I don't understand why we don't seem to want to act like it.
That wasn't directed at anyone in particular. Just something I needed off my chest.
Hopefully your chest is much happier for it.ChaplainTappman wrote...
