Ugh, I seen a thread from another forum saying how horribly boring Kaidan is.
Maybe it's just me, but I usually end up despising most of the female characters and loving most of the males in almost any medium. I don't know what it is... maybe because I think the way a lot of female characters are portrayed makes me want to beat my head against the wall. Or maybe it's because I'd rather have a "bro" character because most of my friends are male?
Kaidan is not borinnnnng. Sigh.
Same for me. But I attribute it to the fact that in real life, I generally get along with males better than females. Girls can be really superficial, and I just feel more comfortable around guys. That being said, I have really great girl-friends too. It's just difficult to find fellow geek girls. Except on the internet of course!
ME Female Characters GO:I didn't like
Miranda at first because I thought she seemed shallow and stuck up (even though I know she's genetically perfect, blah blah blah), but I've read things that have changed my mind, especially after LotSB. And I started watching Chuck and I really like Yvonne Strahovski.
Once you get past
Jack's temper, she's pretty cool. I like her bluntness and "take no sh*t" attitude.
I think
Ashley is a good character, but something about her didn't really click with me.
I liked
Liara alright in ME1, and didn't like her in ME2 at all.
I think
Kelly is nice, but annoying..
Tali and Kasumi are my favorite female squadmates though because they're so easy-going. Favorite non-squadmate is
Gianna Parasini though. I f*cking love her.
But my favorite characters overall are all males. Kaidan, Garrus, Thane, Legion, Joker and Mordin. Kasumi is next on the list, but I wish she had more dialogue depth.

It just makes my brain hurt, I feel like a reverse sexist or something, and I don't mean to be.
Same.
