If the demo is actually at the NYC ComicCon, I will be there, and since I was easily able to take pics of the DA:O demo like three years ago, I'm hoping they won't mind if I do the same sort of thing this time.  I also have a cute kid to run interference (nothing can go wrong with this plan).

If it's just Mac Walters signing copies of his comic books, however, I doubt I'll go.

I always thought that's because I don't exactly fall into target audience for games. Well, at least guys from local games store don't suggest new addons for Sims anymore, that's something!

Oh, and all my gamer friends now can without any doubt tell Kaidan from Sheploo. Even those who haven't played ME. Persistent fangirl is persistent:P

All my favorite characters in books/movies/video games die too.
It's like a have a sixth sense...Feeling a fondness for the character who is doomed to die a tragic death. Then it makes it all the more tragic in the end.
I hope this isn't foreshadowing for Kaidan.

I'm friends with all the guys at the GameStop here, so they KNOW that my Collectors Edition Mass Effect 3 is mine, and that I am taking 3 days off of work to play it first. In my house if you buy it you beat if first. My husband will be lucky if he's even allowed to look at the disk, or touch the controler.

Huh, I never get that. The guys at GameStop are usually glad to see me or my husband, doubly glad if we buy/pre-order something.  Usually I get the girls working in a video game store/section who doesn't know anything about video games, it's obviously just a job for them.

As for characters I like, they usually end up getting Character Derailed, Dead, or RUINED FOREVER. Possibly even a combination of the three. *crosses fingers that it doesn't happen to Kaidan*

Yeah, but if you play as other Origins, it totally blows for him.

its not perfect, but you could still stay together with him, even if you make him king (thoguh my prefered ending is warden Alistair with Anora as sole queen)  with king, you just need to harden him during his personal quest and then warden canconvince him to stay with her as his lover.  having to do dark ritual sucks.  but it could be worse.  he could be Anders o_O (and by that I mean that there's a certain something that Anders does no matter what, and puts Hawke into a very difficult situation, much more dire then chosing between Alistair or Logain IMO)

You don't have to make him King, you can keep him as a Grey Warden and let Anora stay in her position as Queen.

Honestly, Alistair/Warden is the only happy ending for DAO, as shown by DA2. Leliana works for the Divine and Zevran still propositions Hawke. Morrigan is all up to head canon if you went through the mirror with her at the end of Witch Hunt.
