See this is what happens when I go to work, the thread jumps ahead 3 pages. Siiiiigh...

Anyways, regarding the trial, I'm willing to bet good money that Kaidan will be called up as a character witness. He knew Shepard but was no involved with her during her so called 'betrayal' while working for Cerberus and what happen with Bakak and the Alpha Relay. He would have an objective viewpoint that people like Joker, Chakwas, Garrus, etc won't have.

Depending on things like cheating/loyal/friendship and maybe even if you paragoned or renegaded him he might support and speak for Sheaprd, or condemn and speak against Shepard. I see it as if Shepard is loyal to Kaidan (loyal being romantically or friendship) then he will support Shepard and back up her/his decisions. They have already said the cheating thing will come up at a very bad time, during a trial would be a very bad time indeed. Of course this is just a theory.

Oh and btw, I agree with Sia. Though I hate the idea of cheating on Kaidan and so far have not done it and probably won't, I support those who role play their Shepards and find a reason to cheat on Kaidan. For all intents and purposes, Horizon was a break up. Yes, we got the letter later, but it was a 'maybe.' They are not together but then they are not really completely broken up either. It depends on how you (the player) or your Shepard sees it. Hell, Kaidan might be giving himself and Shepard a way out of their relationship. It doesn't make you a bad Kaidan fan, it just means you are exploring all options the game provides.

For example, I have a Shepard they left Kaidan at the bomb site. Not because I wanted him to die but I wanted to see what differences there will be with Ashley. I try to have every Shepard I make do something different so I can experience all there is to see and do in these games. It doesn't make one a bad Kaidan fan, it makes them a good gamer.

I would really like for the game to acknowledge in ME3 whether or not you renegaded Kaidan. Of course, since ME2, I'd just like for them to acknowledge that he and Ashley aren't the same character.

Put very bluntly, I got sick of how people continually snipe and say catty things to each other on here or about other's thoughts. I'm not enough of a fan of Kaidan or the franchise anymore to wish to willingly sift through continual posts of an uncivilized and caustic nature.

I'm not going to point fingers directly at anyone, but yeah. I stopped by because I saw some old friendly faces and figured I'd have a quick chat

I think my eyes are bleeding! Damn that nefarious evil twin and all his mischief-making. I bet he really had Kaidan locked in a dungeon somewhere and that was HIM on Horizon. It all makes perfect sense now.

Damn. That's too bad. Of course, Fort, it's your fault entirely that I renegaded Kaidan in the first place and grew to love him as much or more as paragon Kaidan.

That does suck. Though I'm not a fan of a xeno Kaidan, I do like how a bit more cynically he is as a renegade. Perhaps they are going to make Kaidan act a little harder and say that if he was paragon that Shepard's death renegaded him a bit and vise versa for renegaded Kaidan.

That's what I like about him renegaded. Never actually saw him as more xeno, just less trusting.
