Rahna. I highly doubt we'll see/hear from her again. She was just mentioned for the story Kaidan told Shep about BaAT

Rahna was just teenage crush, relevant only because of the BAaT story. We won't hear about that biotch again :police:

I like Rahna, the way Kaidan tells her.  However, I don't think she'd add anything to the story at this point and I certainly wouldn't want to see her thrown in as a Love Complication or a villainous witch or anything in an attempt at deepening Kaidan's story.

...why is there no Kaidan on this page?

He he he. That's how I feel about Rahna, the way Kaidan described her she's the exact opposite of my Shep and guaranteed to get on her/my nerves pretty fast. ^_^

wat is this rank issue? from wat i've heard kaidan becomes a spectre right?

Well, technically it couldn't matter in ME1 too as Shepard was a Spectre, but they decided to keep ranks for squad integrity. Basically, Shepard wanted to keep military doctrine, and Kaidan didn't wanted to complicate that for the sake of the mission.

No matter why VS becomes a Spectre now, was is a necessity or just political, I don't think ranks will matter. Everyone will be like "Shepard must save us!" and crap.

So speaking of the rank issue. Do you think Kaidan is going to be miffed at Shepard about the Batarian system she blew up? Between that and the whole Cerberus thing, I can't imagine Kaidan being too happy about seeing Shepard.

I also think that Shepard will be even more alienated from the council and with the VS as a Spectre too that is bound to cause some problems. Kaidan is going to have to report back from time to time right?

I feel like the relationship is going to have to get worse or at least more tense before it gets better, despite the Reapers invading. Not that thats a bad thing, I'd hate it if it was too easy. When is anything easy for Shepard? ;D

K: you blew up a whole system?
S: yes, but ...
K: there were 300.000 people living there!
S: yes, but the Reapers were coming!!
K: it's always Reapers with you ... *mimics Shep* I have to work with Cerberus to stop the Reapers' pawns. Let's blow up a Mass Relay to stop the Reapers. I can't bring out the trash, there's Reapers coming. You wash the dishes I take care of the Reapers ...
S: now, that's unfair!
K: Shepard ...
S: I should go
K: Let me guess: Reapers?
S: *trolls off*

ooooh, how I want Kaidan to say 'Shepard' in a scolding way now :D

I never really liked the sound of Rahna, she sounded like one of those really *wet* women with no backbone :P I can't get my head around simpering females, lol.

Ugh, no, I'm not looking forward to any sort of, "I don't know who you are anymore, Shepard!" because of what happened on Aratoht, or because Shepard was "working for" Cerberus. Like... I seriously do not want. That would particularly bother me because neither "joining" Cerberus nor the destruction of the Alpha Relay were my choice, so if either of those things have ramifications on my relationship with Kaidan, it will feel like a "punishment" for playing the game, or worse, for romancing the "wrong" character.

Those of us who stayed true to Kaidan and Ashley are the only ones who have to worry about our love-interest being "miffed" about Aratoht or Cerberus. We already know that Liara and the ME2 love-interests are comfortable with the latter, and it's safe to assume they all know Shepard's side of Aratoht story. Ash and Kaidan, however, are Alliance loyalists and have been separated from Shepard for a long time, so if any of the love-interests are going to be upset about Shepard's actions, it's them. Yes, it makes sense, but I don't want it. I want Kaidan and Ash to accept my side of the story and move on. If I have to suffer through multiple Horizon-style conversations ("You betrayed the Aliance!" -- "No, I didn't." -- "You killed thousands of people on purpose!" -- "I promise you, I REALLY DIDN'T.") while the Garrusmancers and Liaramancers get hugs and kisses, I will *HEADDESK* so hard my keyboard will never recover.

Additionally, I do want my reconciliation with Kaidan to be easy. I really, really do. You know why? Because I stayed loyal to him, and I want my reward, damn it! Seriously. If your Shepard has multiple love-interests, then yeah, you're entitled to some drama and some relationship struggles, because that's probably what you want. But me? No. I'm ready to be back together with Kaidan. Hold the drama, and substitute my serving of angst with a side-order of hugs. Please.

I don't think that Aratoht/working for Cerberus should be the big issue for relationships with Ashley/Kaidan - what would they are supposed to do in same situation? If Kaidan would name one believeable way it may be solved without sacrifices or dealing with devil, my Shepards would gladly declare themselves war criminals. But since there weren't another way, someone just had to take hard decisions.
Neither I think that events of ME2 should be completely forgotten in "OMG Shepard is back! Hug! Kiss!" style because it will prove only that VS were complete douches on Horizon who completely lost control on what they're saying. They have reasons to question Shepard's actions, after all, and as opposite to all bad things Horizon has done, it proved that VS have brains on their own and not just stare in Shepard's mouth.
So what I think will be the best? One serious discussion to put points above i in questions of loyalty to Cerberus/Alliance and maybe decide the fate of relationships - and to close the question of "OMG Shepard what you've done in ME2?" forever.

I was just looking at another thread which is about starting new romances with VS/Liara. It got me thinking.

With ME3 being 6+months after Arrival. My knowledge and math isn't great but that be 2 1/2-3 years after the "romance" with Kaidan. Even though it has already been said that those who stayed loyal would be rewarded (again I'm sure I read that from casey's twitter if anyone can back me up that would be great, cos I am beginning to think I may have imagined it!)

The state of the relationship may be non-existant. I am just worried that you basically might have to start over or those who begin a new relationship in ME3 will share most of the same dialogue. (which i understand money etc)

If they are to seperate the choices, what do you think they will do for those you have waited over the course of the games? Perhaps an extra scene or choice? I really hope there is even if it's just small just to say thanks for being patience. But then at least we will always have Ilos

I really think that Liara/VSs would have to be almost like new romances because ME2 almost gave us every indication that things were pretty much broken off between them and Shepard.  One might be able to get special dialogue about the night before Ilos and patching things up and etc., but I wonder that if they'll be subject to a new romance altogether.

Those just hopping into the Mass Effect series might get them as "new" romance options, for example.

When Shepard retires the galaxy it so doomed.

2 1/2 - 3 years is a long time. Besides sex, how official was their romance to begin with? I don't doubt at all that they really do care about each other, but Ilos was kind of 'I really hope we don't die tomorrow but in case we do' sex. Weeks later Shepard was dead. It wasn't like they were together for years and years. They have been apart a lot longer then they were together.  Add the years between the then and now and I'm sure any romance will have to be renewed.

I'm positive what they had before will not be completely forgotten and I don't doubt that we will get extra dialogue because of it. The attraction and feelings will probably still be there but I have no delusions that we will have to re-woe Kaidan. I just wonder if this time it will be harder or easier. As hesitant as Kaidan was the first time around I'm sure he will be even more so this time. His heart has been broken by her not once but twice, first with her death and again with her resurrection and working for Cerberus. Regardless if it was her fault of not, being in a relationship with Shepard can't be easy. Shepard should have to convince him that she is worth it.
