Ah. I've learned so much today! Now my goal is to make this information relevant to my daily life.

Off Topic: I love the pic above by Jho because I would like Shep vulnerable sometimes as well. She/he is always saving everyone else. In ME1 we saved Kaidan 2 x. I would loooove it if Kaidan saved us out of some really tough situations. I want my shep to be bad ass but I also want to show how hard the last 3 yrs has been. What are your thoughts on this?

Me too, I would love for a situation where the chosen LI saves Shepard in one way or another.

Would be totally HOT.

Absolutely. Just once. That would be incredible! Posted Image

I, too, would love this  I love the little moments where we see a bit of Shep's weakness, like talking with Liara after LotSB and after being grounded in ME1 (the scene in front of the lockers). My Shep needs, just once, to be swooped up by her Kaidan in Shining Armor.
Although, swooping is bad...

This is a really dumb question, but has anyone asked the devs what Kaidan's powers are?

its not a dumb question, its a very relevant question, and I don't think they showed them yet.  we've done some speculating though.

Just adding my thoughts to this. Agree completely with what everyone else wants! Although I love how strong, independent and downright cool my Shep's are, I'd love to see someone else get them out of a bad situation occasionally. Add a little more humanity to the character because damn, no one can save everyone and get it right all the time. It's great being the hero but sometimes I'd like to be saved too, y'know?

Also can report the demo of Mass Effect 3 at the Eurogamer Expo yesterday was just the same 'save the Krogan female' demo and there was no Kaidan, as I suspected would be the case :( However, IT IS SO FUN AND SMOOTH AND SHINY OMGOSH <3 Will be so great seeing Kaidan flash his biotics with how good it's looking.

After I got over the initial shock of the Horizon fight, I was all "WTF!? I asked Anderson about you! Why couldn't I at least tell you that I asked Anderson about you and he wouldn't give me any information!?"

I still wish we had that option in the Horizon dialogue. To deal with it, I usually pick the Renegade response, because it sounds the best. The initial Paragon response is just awful. (The Paragon response is the one I picked the very first time I got to Horizon, if you can't tell.)

On the topic of Hawt Shenko reunions... I really hope becoming a Spectre has made Kaidan a little more sure of himself around Shepard. I also dream of the slamming Shep up against a wall all hawt-like somewhere toward the beginning of ME3.

The Illusive Man stated he didn't know where Garrus is. He dropped off the map. Do you think he would actually let Shep have Garrus if he knew he was Archangel? Garrus is pretty much Shep right hand man most the time. He had a hard time with Tali as well.

Yes, I know that. Still, like I said, TIM gives you Archangel's dossier and he turned out to be Garrus. Only after Shepard mentions meeting her on Freedom's Progress will TIM look into having Shepard recruit Tali. Shepard still didn't make any active attempts to seek them out and recruit them, she only recruited people on TIM's "approved dossiers" list, which is bunk. <_< If I were Shepard, I would have told TIM where to stick it after he said "All your old crew is unavailable" and then tried to recruit them myself. Once Shepard found out most of her old team couldn't/wouldn't come with her, then she would use TIM's dossiers.

I consider Garrus and Tali as a bait - "see, Shepard? We're good doggie, and even let you have old friends with you". That friends which won't complain much in working for Cerberus - Garrus being cornered on Omega doesn't have many options and always was ready to fight for good reason even when common knowledge and authorities tell him to stop, Tali trusts Shepard enough to overlook Cerberus connection. At least while she trusts Shepard.

The same bait as naming the new ship "Normandy", returning Joker and Chakwas - "see? It's your friends, the place you belong, the ideas you're fighting for".

I bet you 10 credits that they wouldn't answer the question about Kaidan's powers
or twist it in a "can't talk about Kaidan, but guess what Vega gets carnage and is awesome"
I don't care about how badass Vega is going to be, for Vega I'm fine finding out while playing ... *hmpf*

You know how much of a dolt I am? I just realized that Shenko means Shepard/Alenko. I always thought Shenko was some artist and writer you all worshipped, and wondered why they never came around here.

If it makes you feel any better, I had to Google it because I had no frickin' clue what it was. :?

If it makes you feel better I didn't know was VS was until I thought about it for an hour questioning its existance.

Haha! Patrick Weekes (I think it was) just tweeted yesterday that Vega gets carnage. Haha! Or did you see that already?

Edit:. I guess I don't really care what powers Kaidan gets as long as he still has Lift and Throw. I can't help but think a Lift Field heavy power would be fantastic! But I never liked Pull.  And, oh-yeah, it was Preston Watamaniuk, not Patrick.

Nice to see you, Criz!

The closest things about powers I've heard was (not precise quote) "Does presense of Kaidan make Miranda unavailable for squad?" - "The availability of characters has nothing to do with their classes or talents, Ashley and Garrus both have concussive shot but <...>" and other statements that they can't let any info about Kaidan slip away. So I think I'm not gonna bet against you;)

This is how I saw it, intentionwise.  Alas, it is rather jarring if you play a Shep who isn't actually friendly with any of those characters or finds the SR2 to be a cheap knockoff.  (Although at least you can say the latter.)

And I'm pretty sure tIM knew who Archangel was, since I figured it out (played the game spoiler blind) well before the reveal and I don't have his super information network of information.  ... come to think of it, I wouldn't be surprised if it was supposed to be implied that set up Garrus the same as he set up Kaidan on Horizon.

Ah well!

Well, it does certainly help that you hardly have the chance to RP your Shepard like that.

"You don't love the SR-2? Too bad. You're not BFFs with Tali and Garrus? Meh."

But anyway, back to Kaidan:

yeah, I saw that, it's why I used it ;)
and because they like talking about Vega (mainly in the 'he's so awesome, but we won't talk about it yet' kind of way - in their defense there are tweets about Kaidan and/or VS not being let out etcetc. let's see if we get ANY news prior to release)

on a personal side note: I never really used the powers like marksman and carnage, because I'm prefer the biotic (and to a minor degree tech) skills, but in my current Vanguard PT I set carnage where I usually have lift on the quick-bar ... I begin to warm up to that power real fast :o

Once upon a time we were talking about songs for Shenko. Or maybe that was another thread that was about LI songs... Oh well. Just realized my perfect Shenko song (other than M4, pt. 2).
Normally I don't get to participate, since YouTube is blocked through my office firewall, so here's a link to just the song:

Mmm... Perfect.

In fact, if we get a good reunion in ME3, I may even make a Shenko music video to this song.

Actually, this one is really good for them, too.

''aseyDHudson Casey Hudson “@[/s]Honor16[/b]@[/s]CaseyDHudson[/b] Will we have anymore PERMANENT squad members?" In the galactic war of #[/s]ME3[/b], nothing can be assumed permanent.''

I replied
''Jenova65 Jenova @ @[/s]gtez[/b] @[/s]CaseyDHudson[/b] That sounds a bit... game breaking tbh... there has to be some rock to cling to :(''

Jesse
''gtez Jesse 'GTez' Houston @ @[/s]Jenova65[/b] @[/s]CaseyDHudson[/b] I wouldn't worry too much bud :)''

I have pointed out that here in the UK woman are not normally referred to as ''bud'' ;)

Bud is typically used for a younger male, isn't it? I know I'll call my puppy "Bud" on occasion.

At least in pop culture, it seems to be the equivalent of "Chap" in England.

And they're not taking Kaidan away from me. Permanent Squad Member or bust! :pinched:

Edit: Ack! Top! Not sure how to post a pictue, or what to post... Help?
