what if you don't believe in souls? or view them in a different light. to me at least, what someone would call soul - is collective memories and personality, what makes you - you. Shepard, has all the memories, all the feelings, her personality more or less is intact. or if there are changes - for my shepards at least, they are brought on by experience, by circumstances, not by her not being her. so even if its just a shepard clone.. its still Shepard in my eyes. regardless of the changes to the body. I look at it from a perspective of "Ghost in a Shell"

So... hypothetically speaking, if Cerberus made more than one of these Shepards, each with Original!Shepard's memories...

And many of them were alive and well and escaped and all doing ... whatever Shepard clones would be doing.  And some were revived before Protag!Clone!Shep and some after... and Protag!Clone!Shep and/or Kaidan eventually ran into them...

...would there be fighting?  Would Kaidan choose to run off with one of them instead?  XD

Or would he simply be considered a very lucky man, up to the point he died of sexual exhaustion?  :innocent:

( Am now thinking of this Citadel Doctor in terms of Cloned-Shep-ness, btw.  XD )

NP :)

I want to know how they are going to explain what has happened within the 6-12 month gap. I can see why thats the estimated amount of time before the start of ME3 though. During SM, the Normandy got pretty banged up and those damn Occulus tore up the cargo bay *shakes fist*, so until the repairs were done, Shepard didn't have a ship to get back to the Citadel or Earth, but I wanna see an explanation about what was going on with Shepard between then and her arrival back on Earth before the trail.

Kaidan needs to have a personality again and not just be a male Ashley.

His personality was just fine~ he did have a right to be upset. :x

But if you mean by having the VSes basically being merged, yes, that is a problem.

Crimson_Rose07-- not a problem, just glad to help! :D

Me too!

Also, after thinking about it, the 6-12 mos. period would make more sense. I hadn't taken into consideration the condition of the Normandy. Also, after the events in Arrival it would really suck if the only time Shep was able to buy back was 2 or 3 mos., esp. considering the cost...300,000 lives!:?

I was watching a clip about ME3...it might of been the one w/ the link you posted 4 me earlier...hmmm...can't remember...Anyway towards the end one of of the members of the dev team is talking about Shep during the initial Earth invasion scene...and talks about how these are the events that take place after Shep's time being held on Earth for trial. The key word was *held*...I'm wondering if part of the 6-12 mos.  is the time being held on Earth before the trial...not sure though...<_<

At least if this were the case it could be used to explain things about Kaidan & Shep relationship...which could mean more time w/ Kaidan...hopefully on screen:wub: *fingers crossed hoping intently*

I thought they meant just for the trial but hey they could have called Shep back after 2 months and held them there until a proper trial could be put together. It would be a pretty huge case and would take some time no?

Otherwise I'm a little ticked at Admiral Hacket's dialgue saying do whatever else you need to but when we call you in be in your best blues (or something to that effect). Except that was the last DLC.....

That's what I was thinking too...trials take awhile to put together. Not only that but from what I've seen of trials don't they call up a bunch of other witnesses prior to the defendant? Isn't the defendant one of the last to be put on the stand? If so this would explain being held awhile& maybe we'll get to seesome news vids of how the trial is progressing & the publics take on it...would be very interesting.

Yeah, that's a big gap of time to go without any filler for us, so hopefully they explain that. Especially with Shepard being held on Earth for the trial.

I'm guessing that a part of that time gap was spent repairing the Normandy, then there must have been a call from the Alliance to have Shepard report to Earth so the events of what happened in the Arrival DLC could be discussed with the brass and the council before taking it to trial <_<.

What I hope they DON'T do, is within that time gap, make it so Shepard and Kaidan have already hashed out the details of Horizon, their relationship, and where they stand with one another. That'll irritate me to hell and I will rage, :pinched:lol.  I want to be able to play through that whole thing instead of just being brought into the game and have that already dealt with :bandit:.

Agreed...no matter how ugly it might get...I want my Shep to be able to play through the mess. I want the happy ending for Shep and Kaidan but I want the emotional rollercoaster that goes w/ getting there as well...I want to feel involved.

Late night randomness, but has anyone ever thought that the reason Kaidan wears Phoenix armor in the beginning of ME2 is perhaps a tribute to Ash? *overthinking this way too much* I mean, it's not like if she survives, she wears something like his default armor, but in my head canon...!

I still like the idea that his regular armor was stolen as a result of prank (or that he lost a bet)

...but I never considered the idea that it could be a tribute O.o

The whole pink Phoenix armor did bother me in ME2...I like the idea of his reg armor being stolen as a prank or losining a bet...adds a lot more depth for me...I can picture it now...losing @ Skyllian 5 poker.:P

Phoenix armor appears to be the default Alliance armor (everyone is wearing it in concept art). As such, it seems like it'd be on hand in an emergency, and it's possible that he was nowhere near his locker at the time.

Or someone simply didn't bring it up to the graphics team and they went with what was in the books.

Pink's just a color. Less ugly and eye-soaring than many other ones.

I SUPPORT THIS IDEA.

On a more serious note, call me oblivious, but I didn't even notice at first that it was Phoenix armor. I just saw a lot of white on him with a smidgen of red. Color perception fail? xD

My "head canon" is based on the fact that manufacturer of armour is human company (with own quest. Hehe), they have noble goals (curing genetic diseases, producing antibiotic, amps and omni-tools - but no weapon), so Shepard might decide to help them. Plus, if my memory serves well, this armour isn't the exact copy of ME1 Light Phoenix, so maybe it's some kind of prototype. Seeing that it's Kaidan who wears it, maybe this was prototype armour for field medics (VI monitoring squad health, more slots for medi-gel, more mobility in hands and fingers)?
