Quick question ... wasn't there a tweet not long ago about Horizon and the VS being explained like Liara's coldness on Illium?
I would rather expect an appology from Bioware for that scene ha

I'm fully expecting both Kaidan and Shep to apologize for that incident, then forget it ever happened.
Hm, thread's moving slow today... So, off topic, looking for opinions, should I buy KotOR? I have Win7, so not sure if that causes issues, and I don't really like or dislike Star Wars, but I love all the Bioware games i've played so far. Or should I just buy TOR and call it good?

Hmh, it looks like I'm the only guy on BSN that wants some Kaidan-Shepard bromance.
if I said in RL many people think I'm a guy, would it count?
*high five*
do you have short hair too?
I swear some guys are double checking if I indeed do have boobies ; P
Edited for clarification. I type the way I talk : way too fast = <
yupp, I wish I could shave it off again (was okey while working at a Gothic magazine I guess, not so much when working for a company that makes cuddly toys
but I did get a haircut recently and one of my co-workers even commented that people might think I'm a guy, not just because it's short, but also because of the way it's cut ... the hair style etc.
being mistaken for a guy is the running gag of my life and started when I was a toddler, continued through my teens* and is still happening these days**
*while I was completely oblivious to it because I'm not socially compatible, my mom swears that there were girls looking after me (you know ... like in *that* way) and unless they were lesbians or bi-curious or something they probably mistook me for a guy)
**short hair aside I also have a distaste for revealing clothes meaning the tightest I wear are M-sized tees and I stay away from the girl-cut stuff *shrug*, and to top it off I don't wear make-up
I hope I can squeeze in a bit of ME1 play tomorrow, I have Kaidan withdrawal and don't just want to look through youtube, but this laptop keeps crashing so often, it's not funny anymore <_<

I would say get KOTOR, because if you're not interested in committing to a monthly fee for a online game like TOR, you won't be losing much if you don't enjoy it. I think that if you like Bioware RPGs, you will enjoy KOTOR, though. You don't have to *love* Star Wars to get into it, especially since it's set so far in the past compared to the movies.
Plus, you may be interested in Carth Onasi. Here's a mod that adds a lot to his romance, I think it helped with my enjoyment of his character a bunch when I finally tried it: http://www.cjt0202.n...rth_romance.php
And for running KOTOR on Windows 7, this thread should be helpful: http://www.lucasforu...ad.php?t=194324
I'll admit, I liked KOTOR2 better, but mostly for the story. The characters of KOTOR1 are great, and the game is more polished in general than the sequel. So, yeah, go for it, especially if you see it on sale on Steam or another site.

I agree with everything TZ said. Except, I preferred KOTOR for the storyline, and KOTOR 2 for the gameplay. I love KOTOR so much. My first BioWare game. <3 But I don't plan on buying TOR.
I have Win7 and bought KOTOR on Steam. I didn't have to do any modding or anything. The videos of it were buggy. The game would minimize even on fullscreen and I'd have to open it back up, which isn't too bad. Just midly annoying. I think maybe only once or twice it crashed completely. But I think there is a way to disable the videos..
Also, I had trouble with the graphics on Dantooine. I have a standard graphics card, nothing great, and it freaked out, so I had to change all the graphics settings to low.

I'm not sure if I share the same feelings as Caseshep but it really isn't a sequel. It isn't KOTOR 3. Revan and Exile are dead as are all the characters we've come to really love in the first two games. I still say scrap OR and make a proper KOTOR 3. But thats not happening now, is it? <_<LadyofRivendell wrote...
Thanks, guys! I have a nvidia geforce graphics card, I hope that'll be okay... It's only $110 on Steam, I'll probably download it within the week. Why aren't you getting TOR, Caseshep? Isn't it a sequel?

Ah. See, I know nothing about the universe. I've never even seen a Star Wars movie! I won't need to know all about Star Wars to get a good understanding of the game, will I?

No, KOTOR takes place 4,000 years before the events of the movies, so you can jump right in without knowledge of the SW universe. I'd say if you enjoy Mass Effect, you most likely will enjoy KOTOR.

And $110 is pretty standard for a new game here, lol. ME2 CE cost me $110 and I think ME3 CE is the same price with the console versions usually being $10 more. I think I paid $88 for DA2. Of course that was on release day and not an old game, lol
@MACharlie1- I was so excited when I heard that there was new Star Wars game being made by Bioware, until I found it it wasn't KoToR3 - damn it, I need closure, lol.

Kaidan doesn't get drunk! He's too self-controlled. He'd probably have allow himself to have a drink or two, but he would be aware of his limits and stop well before he became inebriated.
This is probably true. But if he ever did, for some reason, get drunk, I feel like he would be the type who finds everything funny.

I still see him as a military man. And a man too. Every once in awhile, he would love to have a good time with his buddies. I personally don't like to be drunk either. People make too many dumb mistakes during intoxication. Plus I feel like I waste the next day away, when I could do other things... but... sometimes being drunk is fine 8)

Out-of-control drunk, no, I don't see Kaidan doing that. But very nicely buzzed, yes, I can see that. How would he be? Hmm...I can see it loosening his tongue, making him talk a lot more, and bringing out more sarcastic humor. (However, I do think he got completely trashed after Shep's funeral, but alone in his apartment/room).
