Alistair, Zevran, Anders, and Fenris are great characters, but I don't hold out much hope for happy endings for their romances, at least canonically.

Kaidan will always be my number one video game waifu (at least until the emotionally engaging point in ME3 where he dies/betrays Shepard/is revealed to be indoctrinated), because he's the one character out of all of them whose personality traits and actions in game are mostly desirable in real life.  When I play out the romances for Fenris or Anders, I am very aware that there is no way in heck that I would want anyone like them outside of fiction, for the most part.  Alistair and Zev, not to the same extent, but there are still major red flags, even beyond, you know, the mythical fantasy race, and make believe order of rapidly aging monster warriors things.  Great when I know that fan fiction can soothe any emotional pain the game can inflict, not so great if I were to go through that stuff IRL.

Sorry!  I can't help it, I'm from the "expecting the worst means that if you get anything better, it's great" school of thought.  I will be thrilled if no bad scripted events happen to the Virmire Survivor, but I'm trying to brace myself...

Yeah, Kaidan being indoctinated will be another reason for me not to buy ME3, lol. I'm just hoping for the nice, stable, level headed biotic that I know to have my Shepard's back without any (or too much) drama or angst. The VS has been through enough already.

Kaidan and Alistair alternate for me as my favourite, with Carth definitely in 3rd place. I never really took to Sky even though I romanced him in JE.. Fenris is ok, and Anders just makes me want to stab him from the minute he opens his mouth, lol. I really loved the fun Awakenings Anders, but he was ruined for me in DA2. I was excited about Sebastian, mainly because of his accent but his constant god (maker) bothering gets irritating. Zev is always my wardens best friend but he doesn't interest me as a LI. I tried but I really can't resist Alistair in DAO, same as I can't resist Kaidan in ME, lol.

That picture of him injured makes me wish I could get my Shepard and shield him ha. Is that bad. It actually reminds me of the DOOM Guy. I always thought him rugged and hurt made him more attractive. From a man to man standpoint? I don't know how to explain it

Teen, I am with your negativity. But I really hope Bioware learns from that event that the fans will not be happy. I would personally demand they allow a refund for my game ha. It is an RPG.. I want strong storyline too. Not some haphazard never ending twist of romance to the VS....

Legion won my heart as soon as I heard "Shepard-Commander" for the first time and considering I hate Tali, siding with Geth is such a no brainer for by Renegade/Renegon Sheps
I just hope Kai will like Legion too because my Shep's keeping him forever

I understand the need to protect yourself from disappointment, I'm really the same in expecting bad stuff. I'm just trying to turn over a new leaf this time and wait to see if it all turns out well. *fingers crossed*  I sincerely hope it isn't a case of more fool, I. Not sure I could stand that level of crushing all positive Kaidan expectations.

I doubt BW would indoctrinate the VS. How would that be the promised reward if your loyal to him then turn around and do that to the VS. Ha Ha screw you Kaidan fans!!! I'm holding out for some hope! I must!! If they do that I'm gonna be so pissed off. If they do that VS lovers are gonna be pissed off. I think they have big plans for the VS. Also I don't want to spend half the game trying to convince Kaidan I'm a good person. That will really get annoying fast. I don't want to spend half the game explaining why stopping the collectors was a good thing or why it was necessary to slam a astroid into a mass relay. Love triangles I'm expecting drama with Kaidan but I'm prepared for that.

I want to have more than one love scene as well. More like ME1 and not just at the end of the game. We should have some snuggle time since BW put us through the forbidden H word. I would love to just be able to lie there next to him and have a convo. I just want to get past the whole Horizion fight with Kaidan and move to falling in love all over again. I hope we get some quality time with him. We deserve that much!

I felt bad for my treatment of legion.

If it was in real-life. I am pretty sure I would treat him like a pet because he was amazing and cute like a kitten.

Definitely since he was present in the Rannoch mission (one of the E3 demos). Let's just hope he's also available to recruit as again as a perma-squaddie after Geth/Quarian conflict in ME3 ends!

I can't compare the Alistair romance to Kaidan romance because I haven't played DA yet.

I liked Anders enough, although not nearly as much as I love Kaidan and Alistair. I'm not far enough in to KotOR to have met Carth yet, although I'm assuming I'll like him

You guys don't really think Bioware is evil enough to kill off/indoctrinate Kaidan, do you? I really want our beloved biotic back, just the way he was. ME3 is supposed to have more humor, they can't do that if one of the favorite characters is emo...

about those demo's. according to people who actually played it during European expo few days ago - you still can only play as a Sheploo and only as soldier, and I think it was sentinel and engineer. no femshep demo, trailer, and squadmates other then Liara and Garrus were seen in demo's so far. just wanted to clarify that.

I could see Kaidan being cautiously open to Legion, seeing as he tries to give all being individual chance, but I don't see him trusting Legion right off the bat. probably be repeat of Major Kyle paragon solution "I just hope you know what you are doing, commander"

I'm sure everybody has the opportunity to die in the game, but I think most will be circumstantial. Depending on who you have with you at x point and what you do at y point will dictate who could/might die then and there, I think.  Sorta like the suicide mission I guess.
Even if Ash and Kaidan have a specific "death" scene I don't think it would be an inevitable death.
