I'm doing all of the sidequests, go to do the one for the Consort, and Shai'ira's all "It's my job to know when important people arrive on the Citadel, many of them become clients", and Kaidan got this look on his face and was all "Yeah, well, you wanted to speak to the Commander?", and I was all O_O. What I'm trying to get at here is that I think Kaidan spent some time with the Consort. At least I feel like the game is strongly implying that. :I

Then she looks over her shoulder...at what I thought...was Shepard. (narcissitic -sp?- perhaps). Anywhooo. Then Kaidan jumps in w/ that line.

I thought Shaira was hitting on Shepard---like most Asari's---and Kaidan was a lil jealous.

However, Kaidan partaking of her...erm, services...is very interesting as well.  hahaha.

WHAT!? Really!? I've played ME1 over a dozen times and I don't think I've had that. But now I can't remember if I always take Kaidan around the Citadel with me after I pick up Wrex and Garrus. Oh god, now I'm going to have to boot up yet another ME1 run.

I agree, it looks more like updated graphics than a total redesign. His blue armor is pretty sweet looking, though.

I only get the Citadel observation flirtation scene when I bring Ash and Kaidan w/ me after the Council mtg. in Very beginning. And b4 I leave to do anything else.

It's a sweet lil surprise. And do the right dialogue options to get it. I think it's where Shep says "what's not to love" about humanity....it's cute.

But the Consort thing. Idk wat that is abt. I only got that one time even tho i tried to repeat it.

"How is everyone suddenly a fan of Kaidan?" - I don't know, honestly. Maybe because there are only die hard fans left on boards, and after several years of waiting nothing can force VS fans away. Maybe I'm wrong.

They're slow, too - Kaidan's been winning or runner up in multiple polls for at least a year and a half. 


To get Kaidan snippy at the Consort, you need to have had at least one flirt talk with him.  Pretty sure that even the "I'll need some time to process that" talk will do it.  I think the thing is, most people do the Consort on their first visit to the Citadel since it's available from the start, rather than after one plot world (or the adequate number of miniquests to get Kaidan talking).

But that was usually a tie between Kaidan, Ashley, Tali, Garrus, Miranda and Liara. Now Kaidan and Ashley win without anyone even close (except Q&A where "will we see Tali's face?" will likely end only with ME3 release). Maybe that will give a hint? Maybe?

About pic: I wonder who will be random asari touching Shepard in ME3? In first it was Sha'ira, in second Shiala...

I thought it was cute when Kaidan got jealous of the consort. As for him having already used her services, I don't know. If he did, he acted like he didn't know where the hell the chambers were, since Shepard had to ask several other people for directions.

@Kyakan lmao! Bioware sure does like to throw Asaris at Shepard. I'm not keen on my Shep getting raped by another one. :/

the major reason why I don't think Kaidan used consort's "services" unless by services you mean conversation about biotics or something - he himself said that he takes relationships, especially sexual relationships seriously. I just cannot imagine Kaidan just casually going to boink a courtesan.

they gave him better textures (so his hair looks more obviously curly instead of styled) and hot looking armor with a spectre logo, and they posed him with shepard on advertising. suddenly he's all "badass" looking.

its the same model, but people's perceptions may have changed based on superficial - like girl putting on a little bit of makeup and letting her hair loose is suddenly pretty, when she's exactly the same person with exactly the same looks :/

I did the Consort quest before romancing Kaidan once and he doesn't react the same way. Then I did it while romancing him. He does get jealous. I think he is sick of all the Asari trying to moleste Shep. He is also kind of short with Liara on one debriefing after she joins with Shep. I could be wrong! I would love to go one ME game without one trying to moleste me. I'm not going to be your babby daddy go away:whistle:

I do also remember that convo about him not being the kind of guy who sleeps around. I think he says it when you make a comment about getting physical in brain camp with your down time.

I always do the Consort quest during the first trip to the Citadel, but I swear this one time I got Kaidan's reaction when talking to her. I thought it was so cute, I've been trying to get it ever since and haven't been able to do so. Perhaps for some reason that time I did the quest on a repeat visit....
