I don't remember what happened the first time I did that mission but I know I had him act annoyed afterwards.

I usually wait till I've done the first conversation with him then go back to the Citadel to do the consort quest. I find it amusing that he gets jealous, lol. I usually leave getting Liara till last as well, that way Shepard & Kaidan's relationship is established and she doesn't try to hit on you, and you only have to get mind raped once. Plus it's funny to watch her go a bit crazy.

I found it amusing in LotSB when Shepard asked if her and Feron were an item and she said something to the effect that he feels grateful to her for saving him and she can't take advantage of that.

I waited to recruit her after Virmire on my Renegade Male Shep, and oh did I laugh. Especially when you get back on the ship and she's like "All these Prothean secrets that I've been trying to discover for years and then you come along and it falls into your lap! It's not fair, wahhhhhh!" QQ moar Liara. 

I'm going to have to play ME1 again to see Kaidan be jealous of the Consort. Jealous Kaidan is kinda sexy.

All the talk of ME3 Kaidan and Spectre-ism and how he'll reunite with Shepard got my muse going again! I'm still working on the second (based when she's on her way to the trial at the beginning of 3), but the first one is done. It's my personal head-canon take on how I'd like Kaidan to be Spectre-ized and how I'd like him to really realize the truth about Shepard's resurrection.

Obviously many spoilers abound as it takes place right at the end of ME2, so be warned! But here is a new offering on the Kaidan alter. (That doesn't sound creepy, right?)

Edit: also, I must now play through ME and talk to the Consort after flirting with Kaidan a bunch. Jealous-Kaidan would be so hot.

Awesome. That is one thing I loved doing in ME1, making Kaidan just a hair jealous.
Oh that reminds me, someone asked me a while ago about Kaidan saying to Shepard, "no problems when you are here." Sorry I can't remember who had asked when he said that.

You know, I was playing LotSB again recently, and I couldn't help but feel a bit sad that Ashley and Kaidan (and also Wrex, but to a lesser extent) never got their own dossier entries. I would have loved to see what they've been up to in Shep's absence. Maybe have some transcribed conversations? Alas, nothing.

I still very much enjoy the dossiers mind you, they add more depth to many of the characters. And I hope we keep in contact with the base in ME3 (with Feron or Liara sending out information to us and providing us with resources to help repel the reapers).

And that's exactly that I think was the main reason Kaidan included "drinks with doctor" in letter - he understood that Horizon situation was a setup and gave all the possibly compromising information to Shepard asap.

Yup, I am. I would have used another name for DA, one that has been my moniker for years but wasn't available. And I'm glad you liked Abandon. I had a lot of fun with it. Sad to have it end.

I have a fic too for Shep/Kaidan but ugh, only have the first 7 chapters up on DA. Too lazy to the twenty others pulled from FF.net and pasted to DA.
