@Sesheta I'm so sorry to hear about your 19 year old son. I cannot imagine what that must be like.

Having a child is actually really scary because it ups the stakes so, so high. To care so much about someone and at the same time know how this world can be--it's scary for a parent.

I have a 14 year old daughter. Freshman in High School (when did that happen?!?). Homecoming was last weekend. Game and then dance the next night. She had her first date ever! My God, the boy was 14, too. But he was like 6'2". It was awesome for her. Corsage and dinner. A great milestone.

It was hectic for me..I was flying around all weekend on my broom w/ hair pins flying out. In sweat pants and a t-shirt...ugh.

Mommy needs to go dancing------w/ Kaidan! ;)

Wow.. you cannot leave this topic for more than a day huh.

I don't know. The connection to Kaidan and the other women. However, it is a role playing and you can set up different stories. Just because it isn't cannon in Bioware's eyes.. doesn't mean it isn't in yours 8).

Umm, that jean picture is pretty hot. And I am a guy lol. Wish I could be that cut. Wonder if it was photo edited or drawn or what. Pretty damn good.

I am kind of shocked on the varying ages lol. I am glad that majority of the older generations are getting into gaming tho. It is good for game development too. Maybe they won't make it so teen oriented anymore... ala Women with big bust in catsuits.

I wouldn't see the difference in hating one game to a next? Even if you have to RTS's .. similar setup, gameplay and story could make me love or hate it.

Did I miss something else?

Oh, I support Kaidan and the people in this thread :)

Hii, I have a question. I saw a screenshot of Kaidan showing his new outfit/look, its not the one with Shepard and Liara on it. I cant seem to find it anymore, does anyone know where I can find that picture again and in good quality?

Any chance you're talking about this one?

Yes, thanks!
I like that outfit very much, oh I want ME3 now.

True in a way, but only if you don't enjoy playing devil's advocate to an extent. I used to only play white knight characters until I realized I was missing an entirely different game experience by not giving  the dark side/renegade characters a chance to tell me their stories. I never thought I would play a darker character, but I'm glad I gave it a go. Your mileage may vary, of course.

It's funny, but the renegade character I just finished up has become one of my favorites, and though she passed on many renegade choices, she still ended up with a full rene bar and over half para. I don't think she's evil at all, just pragmatic, plain-speaking, and focused on getting the job done. ^_^

Now that I think about which character to take through first, I guess maybe it should be my screwed up paragon. It's a soldier Shep and my very first ME character which I imported. She did everything right, essentially, but on the first run she lost two squad mates on the suicide mission, so I did a second playthrough with her....aaaaand lost the entire crew instead. I didn't realize that the reaper IFF quest triggers the abduction so kept finishing up loyalty missions and everyone but Dr. Chakwas got turned into goo. :pinched: By the time I played my second paragon (a sentinel) I had all the quests figured out.

For any BioWare game, I think multiple playthroughs are a necessity! :D

As for the subject of using strategy guides/walkthroughs I personally use them because I tend to miss a lot of stuff when I try doing it on my own. Funny thing is that the games are still exciting and enjoyable to me even with their use. Go figure. Posted Image

I'm generally a wuss when it comes to playing dark side, lol. I couldn't do it in KoToR, or JE, or any other game I play, and my full on renegade in ME is Sheploo, I couldn't play a full renegade femShep, although I have a couple that are renegon. All but one of my femSheps romanced Kaidan although I could only do that by going through the comic, and I couldn't bring myself to Virmire him even with the comic, lol. Hell, even my renegade Sheploo was an ass to everyone except for Kaidan. Lmao, I just couldn't bring myself to be mean to him.

I don't find it surprising.

I didn't find any satisfaction in either of my renegade toons. In fact, all my play through guys are all paragon with a little renegade. I don't know. It is hard to shake the White Knight character.

I, however, made my mshep/ Kaidan so that he would have a "flaw" (I am no way saying it is and not trying to start a flamewar here! Just to some people might object so it made him seem less perfect?)

*snip*

Thanks for that. I figured it all out myself through many, many playthroughs LOL. I buy game guides for most of my games....just not ME. When the first game came out I had a bit of snobby prejudice against it at the start since it was a shooter. *shrug* Though I quickly left that feeling in the dust when I started to play it, I never did buy any ME guides. I may for the 3rd game though.

The really strange thing is I spoiled myself completely on DA2, and was VERY glad I did, considering what happened with one of my favorite characters<_<...but I didn't spoil myself on any of the ME games, and I think I would like to keep it that way for the most part. Even though I am somewhat addicted to spoilers.

@sesheta, I actually never did a renegade character until recently. It was my first, unless you want to count my "red" Hawke warrior, which I did on my 4th DA2 character. I never did dark side on KoTOR or JE either. It was actually my 14 year-old son that made me curious to try a little darker Shepard. He plays EVERY type of character, even darker ones, or female gender just to see what happens. He made a fem Revan just so he could see what a Carth romance was all about. I'm so proud of his game skillz. *sniff* :P

@Preie, lots of people dislike renegades and never try them. I will always prefer paragon, as that is the type of morality I am most comfortable RPing. I wanted to see if I could find a red character sympathetic in any way...and I did, much to my surprise. From a storytelling point of view, I could completely write my red Shepard as believeable and probably even likeable. I won't though...I already have enough stuff I'm procrastinating over.

I completely respect and understand most folks preference for a morally "good" character. Renegade play isn't everyone's cup of tea. :)

Funny thing is, a couple years ago I ran into a man and wife. The man was 75 years old. And a Gamer! I was like What?! And his wife just nodded her head.

He was ticked, tho cuz his son in law had come by the house, and took his xbox home! The old man said, "when I get my hands on him.." Lol

Kaidan's cut pic. yeah, it's hot. But he's not too cut. Which is nice. Just enough. And pretty much everybody can get just enough cut. Don't even need a gym membership. Some good old fashioned sit ups and push ups go a long way

I love that <3 So sad... Jho has to be one of my favorite Kaidan artists!

I was surprised at the varying ages, too! Although I already knew I'd be the youngest around (so far, at least). It's nice to have such a range, though ^_^

As for Paragon vs. Renegade, I can't ever bring myself to play on the dark side. I always end up going for the Knight in Shining Armor type gameplay, although I do admit to pushing that guard out of the window in ME2

And whoever said Bioware games are secretly personality tests, I agree with that as well. It's fun to see how my playthrough differ from how my friends play based on our personalities. I always play as a pure Paragon/Good guy and romance the shy guys, one friend plays as a somewhat Renegade/Evil guy and romances the wild guys, and one friend tries to be good, but in doing so, messes everything up. Which really translates to our normal personalities B)

Edit: Batteries... You have a character named Bubbles? Who, on top of the name, is evil? I think you've just won my respect :wizard:

Well, she's kinda blonde too.

I sterotyped so hard on her.
I thought I'd dislike playing her, but realized I like playing a ****y Shep and especially her. I think she'd be more classified as a Renegon though. Still got the renegade ending and scarring.

She is also, I believe, also a faithful Kaidaner. That works, right? Kai-dun-err?

But beside her, I have 2 other female Shepards and one Sheploo who I all heart dearly.

You have a Shepard named Bubbles??  I'm not sure if that is disturbing or admirable. There does seem to be something oddly appealing about someone named Bubbles saving the universe..... Is Bubbles Shepard blonde by any chance?

EDIT: Ahahahaha! I was right, she is blonde! :P

Kaidaner, I like it! Deserves a spot in Webster's right next to Virmire'd.
Not implying that Kaidan should be blown up, just saying it's another ME created word...

How do you guys manage to juggle so many different characters? I end up falling in love with my one character, and I can never bring myself to make another and play the game differently. It just doesn't feel right...
The only time I've ever changed my PC was my second playthrough of DA:O. First one ended up horribly when I found out elves can't become Queen, so I made a human noble and haven't looked back.

Edit: Am I missing some reference with Bubbles being blond?

No, nothing behind the name. Just wanted to make a renegade Shepard and decided to make a stripper looking Shep with blonde hair and heavy makeup because I sterotype everything(No, I don't really think all blondes are strippers Posted Image)

She did turn out to be quite kickbutt in the end. I'm trying really hard to remember if she renegaded Kaidan though. I think she did but I'd have to search if I have any saves left to know for sure.
I'm not really even sure if that'll even make much a difference in ME3. Posted Image
Definitely one think I want to watch out for when it's finally Bubbles' turn to be hurtled into it.

I have a stack of Shepards, or wardens, or Hawkes, lol. Probably only about 3 of my Shepards actually have backstories in my head, the rest are just mindless playthroughs generally. I did have around 24 Shepards in ME1, 23 romanced Kaidan, and one was Sheploo, but I culled half of them and I haven't imported all the ones left into ME2, just a few special ones, lol. They all make slightly different choices at various times just to see what difference it makes to the game.

@batteries, well my renegade was named Rene Shepard. Yep, it's short for renegade since I couldn't think of anything good. :D I renegaded both Garrus and Kaidan with her. I guess she's Renegon too, since she has more than half of the paragon meter full.

Yeah, i play paragade i guess. a lill heavier on the para, tho. there are just some things i can't do. like being unnecessarily mean spirited. Harkin, i let garrus shoot him. and yeah i woulda done worse. he just sent a bunch of mechs after me.

the guy being pushed out the window: first time i pushed him, but for some reason after that i didn't want to. i kept thinking---who is this guy? idk who he really is. with the helmet and all.

then this awful thought occurred to me. what if i ran into kaidan during my exploits and didn't know ho he was. wat if he was on some covert infiltration mission....and i pushed him out the window?

silly cuz i know he's gonna be in me3, but i couldn't help thinking about it. and he wasn't directly threatening me w/ a gun or anything. and i figured if he tried to kill me later, i'd just gun him down then.

it wasn't nearly as satisfying as pushing him out the window. lolo. but i couldn't help wondering who he was. and wat if kaidan were in a similar situation?
