yep.  and our family has not a drop of african american blood to us - Ashkenasi jews on both sides.  her hair is STILL like that, she just crops it shorter   couple it with gray eyes and you have some very interesting looking lady  

me I got most of mom's facial features, but ended up with hair and eye color and physical build from my father's side of the family.  still, having grown up around curly hair - I felt right at home around Kaidan.  he actualy kinda sorta looks like a very distant cousin I used to have a crush on as a girl   which would explain... quite a few things O_O

Kaidan looks normal there. Not a final version of hairstyle, maybe, and his eyes were bigger in previous games, but normal in a sense of facial expression, shadows and armor. He obviously got a lucky ticket there. The rest three participants... not so much.

I don't doubt that references are majorly accidental, but for which names and which languages this works? Maybe "Garrus" is a commonly used term somewhere?

I thought the excel thing was for planet descriptions etc.
as for names, I had the impression they have several that have the same ring to them and sound similar and then pick which fits best *shrug*

Perhaps Bioware originally planned on allowing m!Shep to be a pre-op transexual but it was cut from the game at last minute.

I'm a very new ME fan, and INSTANTLY loved it, in no small part thanks to Kaidan's adorableness and puppydog eyes. I just finished a perfect playthrough, setting myself up good for Kaidan to come crawling back to me in 3 >:3
Loving his new design, he's a little older but still UTTERLY gorgeous. Is his hair actually gray, or is that just the lighting and reflection?

Hey, if you're a voice actor being paid by the hour, are you going argue when they ask you to do all the FemShep specific parts???

They probably do it to make sure they have every possible permutation of dialogue recorded, even if they know they won't use all of it.

I hear ya mate, i never said it was a bad thing  he's a totally hot 30 something.  He's a spectre now, do you guys think that had to do with Jane? Like maybe, he wants to catch up to her? That's probably not the only reason he became one, but his love might have some part in it?

There's no bad thing when it comes to Kaidan Alenko.

With him accepting the position of Spectre, I think he knows what's threatening the galaxy after travelling with Shepard and want's to make sure someone else is helping or trying to find proof?

I would pretty much disregard those renderings, though as far as what to expect in the final game product.

I don't even know when he became a Spectre. Was it before or after Horizon? How did we find out about that again...BW told us he'd be a Spectre in ME3?

I wish Anderson had told us in game, but even he's being tight lipped lately.

Kaidan is a Japenese name and Alenko is Ukrainian last name. His parents are Canadians though I think, since they retired there, probably with Japanese & Ukrainian background though. And Mac Walters said Kaidan was "made" in Canada so

I always assumed he was at last part Asian, considering his name and the Singapore thing. I figured he was a mix of ethnicities, like most people seemed to be in ME1. That game did a great job of making most people ambiguously brown. ME2, not so much.

I did the Consort quest before romancing Kaidan once and he doesn't react the same way. Then I did it while romancing him. He does get jealous. I think he is sick of all the Asari trying to moleste Shep. He is also kind of short with Liara on one debriefing after she joins with Shep. I could be wrong! I would love to go one ME game without one trying to moleste me. I'm not going to be your babby daddy go away:whistle:

I do also remember that convo about him not being the kind of guy who sleeps around. I think he says it when you make a comment about getting physical in brain camp with your down time.

Well, I needed to do another ME1 run for fic research. Looks like I'll be romancing Kaidan a little before doing the Consort quest.

Yeah, I liked that. Anderson, Kaidan, Ash (though Ash looked more latino than 'every-race-mixed'). I love a hint of Asian heritage in Kai's eyes

Maybe his dad is a Canadian of Ukranian descent, and his mum is either Japanese born or the daughter of Japanese immigrants.
