Do you guys think Kaidan and Jane would get married if they could, or would they prefer just staying lovers?
I think my Shep would like it, eventually. It would have to come after the galaxy-saving and whatnot, of course. I doubt that it would happen in-game, though. Opinions will probably differ a lot on this, and I imagine they'd rather not address it. And it would be hard to do without a spectacular amount of cheese.
My headcanon definitely includes it, though. Assuming they come through ME3 alive.
This. My Cannon Shep would get married after things had settled down as well. She's probably not going to take Kaidan's last name though....
But yeah. I hope they don't do much with the marriage idea either, because it depends on how you roleplay your Shepard. I'm sure a lot of Shep's aren't the marrying type. And I'm sure a lot of Shepards want to become Alenkos or Shepard-Alenkos.
And I wouldn't say that getting married is anti-feminist.

You're not alone. Kaidan usually survives in my game anyway. And I really want to know more about Nihlus. He totally deserved better.

Marriage isn't anti feminist, i just couldn't think of a better way to describe it XD some people might look at a strong independant girl like Jane and and kick up a fuss if she got married because it would seem like she was conforming to the stereotype that all women must marry to be happy. Some of my friends think Shepard shouldn't marry Kaidan because of that, and it's totally silly. If she got married, she wouldn't become a housewife, she wouldn't do the laundry or cook dinner every night and get Kaidan his dressing gown, pipe and slippers when he got home from a long day of Spectre-ing, oh no. She's be the same badass as before, just with an extra piece of jewellery.

*Mako goes hurr, hurr, hurr*
Kaidan:" Uh, Shepard, I don't think we can go this way."
Shepard: "Sure we can!" *hurr, hurr, hurr*
Kaidan: "No, Shepard, we're going to have to find another way..."
Shepard: "I got this, Alenko!" *hurr, hurr, hurr*
Kaidan: "No, Shepard..we're not gonna be able to.."
Tali: "Oh, here we go again."
*you hear collective scream as Mako flips off the side of mountain, and down, down, down---"AAAAHHHHH!"*
Shepard: "Okay, I think we're gonna have to find another way."
Kaidan: "You think.....?"

it seems though that on these forums, as well as outside of these forums, for some reason marriage is associated with major lifestyle changes, conformity and loss of identity - white picket fence, 2 kids, a dog and say good bye to your career. /shrug. marriage is just a commitment you make in front of witnesses, complete with some extra paperwork. what your relationship inside marriage is - is completely up to you.
P.S. I also don't thinkbeing a stay at home mother is in any way anti feminist - I thought feminism was all about freedom to chose, not some choices being more right then others.
and that's veering deeply into off topic territory, so
matching Tattoos for Shepard and Kaidan. yay or nay?

Hehe, my only complaint about the characters in ME is that there weren't enough options to give Shepard a sense of humour.

or even without the extra piece of jewelry - this is something that was discussed in Ash thread and since both Shepard and Kaidan (Ash) have dangerous jobs, they probably wouldn't wear rings. Ring Tattoos were suggested though and I think its a pretty cool idea.

On the same chain as their id tags. That's where I'd wear it, anyway.

DA party banter really is the best. ME1 had great party banter, too, just not enough of it. It's supposed to return in a big way for ME3. I cannot wait for more Kaidan gems.
Edit: Well, look at me, spamming this page. I really do have other things to do, but I just cannot tear myself away...

Definitely. BW says they've stepped the party banter up quite a bit. Happy to hear that because I think it also helps you to get closer w/ your squaddies.
I haven't played DA..yet. I have an Xbox so I'm thinking if I do, I'll get DA2 because the graphics w/ DAO on my console is so...primitive.
I heard DA2 has some good banter

My canon FemShep, was earthborn, she's Paragon but does have a little renegade, such as pushing bad guys out of windows. I mean who couldn't resist that, anyway, the whole marriage thing. Ramona never had any family so she would marry but not nothing fancy she loves Kaidan and wants to be with him. She's a paragde cos of her troubled life back on earth, her attempted to make amends and prove that anyone can be a hero.
If psyduck was dressed like that I would use him more often.

I for one would not mind seeing Kaidan showing one off on his bicep. In the sunlight. Glistening from sweat and all tanned. Flexing slightly from his workout. Toweling his brow to keep the sweat out of his milk chocolate brown eyes. oh goodness it's hot.
