Or doing it very right. 

Sniper rifle is pure smexiness in 2.  Serious squeeing the first time I used it.  Tend to get motion sick with it, but oh so much fun!!!  Think I had the most fun using one on my Adept, of all classes.  Then add in the Cain for maximum naughtiness.  Cain also makes the end boss fight a lot easier - very good since that thing creeps me right the hell out.  I have to turn off the sound for that fight.

Least favorite was shotgun + Vanguard charge.  That usually ended with poor Vyan a disoriented splatter of goo.  Overzealously rushing into a crowd is not smart.

Speaking of fanfics, I should just go finish the Shenko-based ones I have in progress. ._. Though, they tend to focus more on Shepard at first, I just need to come up with something that's a Kaidan focus (still Shenko-based) like Missing You. *ponders this*

Glad you like them.  They are the result of a very warped sense of humour and a diseased mind, stupid things just pop in to my head at all sorts of odd times.  I've still got a few that are currently being worked on but with things happening this year it's hard sometimes to get back into random stupidity mode.  But Mary Sue has not finished torturing poor Kaidan yet, lmao.

@Lady - yeah, the first chapter of Lost was written to get some angst out of my system and was not originally going to be published.  Then I showed it to a few people who told me to keep writing it, but I blame Jaer for it, lol.  It's probably one of my better ones.

@KIa - nice fic.  I like the emotions in it and the way you staged it.

Ohh. Well, in ME1 Sentinels could equip other weapons they were untrained in, but damage and accuracy were poor. And besides my pistol, aiming was so poor that I just assumed I was untrained. And not just my own aiming either! haha I play on my laptop with a touchpad, so I tend to waste a lot of bullets.
I just don't like weapons except for pistols and the collector particle beam. I used warp and reave on enemy shields always.

I love sentinels but I did a soldier play through in ME to unlock the assault rifle so my sentinels can have have it as a bonus skill

Been a while since I posted, I've been busy gaming. After reading this thread I craved KOTOR...so I replayed 'em. Then jumped straight to Dragon Age...which I had never played. Finished it last night. Oh. My. God!

I loved it! I had seen that pic of Alistair, Kaidan and Carth (somone post for me plsssss?) And wondered what the fuss was about. *swoons* I'm in love. And it got me thinking about ME3....I hope they make Kaidan more accessible to us, like Alistair was. I wanna kiss him whenever I want to, and say "time for bed honey" all that jazz.

I now have high standards for my interaction with Kaidan in march....kissing, cuddling, marriage, the whole nine freakin yards.

I have a growing problem that is starting to concern me - I don't have a favorite ME class!  I usually tend towards hybrid classes, and my first class was Vanguard.  I thought I rocked, until I found out I was supposed to be "charging" all the time, and I don't particularly care for charging.  I, too, fell in love with the sniper rifle when I played an infiltrator.  It can be annoying, but when it works - damn.  I managed to complete ME1 on Insanity with a Sentinel, but not even close in ME2.  I do love a Soldier with Barrier bonus, but I get bored without some biotics....  But Adept was a little too weak in ME2 at times.

5 months left to decide, and I have no idea.

haha I have a favorite but only because it's the only one I've played as. I have other playthroughs with different classes planned so I will have an unbiased opinion eventually. At least you've played as multiple classes. So you're on the right track!  Plus, if you ever can't decide, then I don't think it's a problem liking them all!



So questions for everyone. I sort of know the answer based on what others have written about their Shepards but I figured I'd ask it formally. Sorry if it's been asked before.
Do you have one Shepard you use to romance Kaidan or do you have several different ones who romanced him?
And if you've had several different playthroughs, do you have a favorite...the one Shepard that you feel fits best with Kaidan? And if so, do you ever feel weird playing through with the other Shepards besides the one that fits best? Or no, because it's still Shenko?

I guess that I feel my canon Shepard fits best with him, and I don't know if I could make another Shepard for a strictly-Kaidan romance because I'd feel like he'd be cheating on my canon Shepard. haha I'm probably ridiculous. And as a disclaimer, I'm not saying it's wrong to have different Shepards romance Kaidan or you're a bad person for it...because I know some on here have several different Sheps who have romanced him.  I'm just very loyal to my canon in my own head, and I'm not discrediting your Shenko relationships either!

I do have another Shepard planned though that romances Kaidan without following through with the night before Ilos and then romances Garrus in ME2...So I guess that's progress?

Haha this, I have many lonely DudeSheps too. Most of them will go for Kaidan, but at least one will fall into Vega's big arms and another one for Jacob if he's an option

I've only done 2 complete runthroughs so far. My first was a modded maleShep who I created strictly to romance Kaidan. My second was an unmodded maleShep who chose Kaidan as VS but did not persue any sort of romance with the ladies in ME & ME2. The unmodded Shep is the one I plan on importing into ME3 as he looks to have the best chance of romancing Kaidan legitimately (without the use of mods) should the rumors prove to be true about ME3 s/s options for Lt. Alenko, not to mention the fact that a modded Shep may mess up the LI mechanics.

Funny thing, though - I had a better time playing my unmodded Shepard.   Don't get me wrong - having my Sheploo pawing at Kaidan before Ilos was mucho smexy. But I don't know...playing ME1 and having to tune out game issues caused by the gender switch mod really took away from the immersion of the game. I only wish BioWare had the stones to have male s/s options for ME back in 2008 but I'm guessing it was waaaaaay more of a taboo subject at that time. So until ME3 comes out (no pun intended!) and we finally get to see what will be available for our Sheps romance-wise, I'm content to keep my Shepard romance-free and Kaidan my close (albeit guilt-ridden and stubborn) friend.

Bizarre, huh?

Well they are hoping Kaidan. I may have to make one especially for Vega, but as I don't know what he is going to be fully like I may have to wait until I play ME3 before I make it.

When I first got ME1, I started off with a red haired Paragon Colonist/War Hero Soldier FemShep named Jeanne, and she romanced Kaidan.  That was cool, but I wanted to play as an adept next time around, and since I have a habit of playing almost the same way several times to get the "perfect" playthrough, I ended up with Gwen, a blonde Spacer/War Hero who was even more paragon and still romanced Kaidan.  The next time around I tried going Renegade with my Vanguard, Jayna, who wanted to lead both Kaidan and Liara on, but ended up accidentally friendzoning Kaidan and had Liara's romance by default.  

In ME2, I've completed the game three times with Gwen, but haven't gotten too far with anyone else.  It's partially being stubborn (nobody else gets to play until Gwen finishes her story) and spite (no other romances until I get a conclusion for my Shep and Kaidan), but also just feeling like the story works best for me with Gwendolyn Shepard.  Her misery and angst in ME2 over having to work for Cerberus, and her isolation from those she cares about, makes ME2 work in my head, despite my misgivings over the writing of the main plot.  I feel like I know her best, and I know how she's reacting to these situations.  I'm not as sure of my other characters.
